You can have James handle every customer experience. Let me be very clear: my experience in dealing with U-Haul for this rental, up until visiting this location, was horrible. I needed a 10' truck to transport some furniture from Buffalo to the Rochester area -- a very simple trip. U-Haul made the process way more complicated than it needed to be. I was told I would get a phone call 24 hours ahead of the rental -- that never happened. And at one point, U-Haul was having me drive 30 miles in the wrong direction just to get he truck, which I would then need to drive back to my house to fill. After a reasonably good experience on the phone with one rep, I was referred to the Tonawanda store. This is where the process was made much easier. I walked in (not knowing what to expect) and James looked at my reservation and simplified the process for me. If I have need to rent a similar vehicle again, I am dealing exclusively with James at this store.

24/7 app functionality is one of worst at any Buffalo locations. The app did checkout at pickup quick except pic condition uploads on IPhone 17promax and full power reception. Extremely annoying. Only encountered worse at another Buffalo location that took 20 minutes to upload. Next time will resort to live checkouts because location crew are always on game on task and always helpful

The inside of van was clean, aside from some crumbs. The van was parked so close to another one, I had to move the side view mirror to exit the parking lot. I have rented from here many times. This was the first time meeting the manager, Ryan. Please see the complaint I am about to submit. Loyal customer

2843 kenmore location is good, but 1400 genesee st bad. 1st my reservation was on genesee location. But they didn’t give me truck as per reservation even any solution. Very bad service.

I rented this truck online, and requested the location at 2355 Elmwood Ave, Kenmore, NY. I received an email confirmation for that address. When I arrived there, they said they didn't have a truck for me. They didn't offer to assist in finding another truck. I then called the Kenmore Ave. location, and they stated that I had already reserved a truck there. There was broken glass on the truck when I received it.

96,000 miles on a 26' foot rental vehicle is not optimum. I didn't think the vehicle would make it up a bridge i had to cross. Transmission shuttered badly, the vehicle porpoising the entire way up. It was clean, but you can't clean rust. Paid full price for a "rent a wreck". Poor value. Retire the truck.

When I made my reservation to pick up a trailer I rented, the location I picked didn’t have one and I had to drive to a different u-haul to get one. I rented a 16’ toy hauler trailer, which I assumed would take a 2- 5/16” ball. When I got there to pick it up, I was told it only took a 2” ball. I therefore had to go home and get my other ball and mount. I ordered a set of 12 moving blankets with a trailer I rented. Both I and the counter guy forgot to get them. Next, the app is a joke. Tried checking in to verify that I was still getting the trailer I rented, but every time I tried, the app would take me to a page that basically told me that it was crashing. Lastly, after trying several times to call the location, my pick up was at, I call kept getting bumped to their national headquarter location. There was no way of getting hold of the people that were only 10 minutes away from my home. The only real good thing I have to say about U-Haul is that the trailer I received was pristine and worked like a gem!

This was one of the worst U-Haul experiences I've had. Shortly after I was dropped off by my ride was I gretted by an ornary southern man who was already agitated at 730 in the morning. I was told if I didn't have a reservation I couldn't rent a truck but luckily I did. Well lucky if I could use mobile pick up which was unsuccessful. I was then instructed to call customer service you whom might be able to get me a truck. After U-Haul customer service finally connected with the U-Haul I was standing in, it turns out I almost didn't get my reserved truck because the ornary southern man didn't want to have to manually enter information into their computer. Which I understand because my time was wasted twice. I entered everything online before I arrived then had to wait for him to enter it all again as well. Regardless, after that it didn't get much better. I received a truck that you couldn't unlock the door from the outside and wasn't information you had to pay extra for window washing fluid. Noisest, loudest worst truck ever. Then to put the icing on the cake I was charged for 3 gallons of gas after I returned the truck with more gas then when I picked it up with. I think this might be my last U-Haul rental. Hey PODS!

Circumstances accrued beyond my control and I had to keep extending my rental. They were helpful and kind on what I was going through. A big thumbs up to the crew. I used the same location last year when I rented a vehicle. Again, the staff was friendly and helpful.

Not pleased. After being quoted .49 a mile I was charged $1.09 a mile . This was expensive seeing as I had used the vehicle for about 165 miles. I rented a pickup and transporter. It seems the are no longer pickup trucks for rent in WNY. I should have been told that by the person at the 1-800 number that I used for my reservation, for the equipment from Sheridan Dr. Tonawanda NY. I paid $80 more than the quote. Feels like a bait and switch by someone. I'm hoping for some resolution from the Tonawanda location. We'll see.

Good experience, timely and informative. Convenient app reservation lets you choose your own window of time, with the option to extend usage time. I chose 4 hrs. Did you need the rest of the day? After hours return is $20. Not bad. Would recommend this location. I love Uhaul.

The young man I worked with was wonderful. I wasn't expecting to even need a storage unit but when I did need it they made sure to get everything done faster than I could have hoped. I am hoping I dont have to move again for a while, but if I did I would go right to this location to proceed!
