The online chat/phone support is really delayed. I would recommend this location, but after business hours, the company needs to look at better ways to support those that need assistance in a timely manner. We lost an hour trying to get the truck picked up for mobile pickup, because there was an error with the order on Uhauls side.

In general, the location was good. The overall experience was not the best. I was sent to return the truck to a location that was no longer doing U-Haul rentals, which is no big deal in the sense that another store was just down the road. Upon arriving at this location, I was informed that I would be getting a charge for not dropping at the correct location and that I had exceeded the mileage. I showed the manager my reservation and she said she had to check with the district manager on the issue as it seems there was something going on with the system. Two days after the rental, I was charged another $75.00 for these things, which were not in my control. I made a phone call to the store and the male employee I spoke with asked me about the situation, but then just cut me off and said he would get it refunded. Not sure how long the refund takes so hopefully I can get that back as soon as possible.

The only employee Friday was 1 guy, bouncing inside and outside all by himself, there was a long line of us there trying to be patient, but he was very professional there, needed help big time ok, fyi at that store that's huge, more employers would if have you a higher rating

Loved the affordability and ease of reservation. Was very simple and made my move less stressful. Employees were great. Digital check in was a hassle and the card reader wouldn’t work so it took 20 minutes to just get my card info to the employee.

This location costed me a lot of money due to giving my truck away the week prior to me picking up my equipment. I had a reservation which I scheduled weeks before the pickup date. I get to the location, and they had given away my truck and tried to give me this huge truck which was way to big for me to handle. I ended up having to stay in my apartment for additional days which caused my landlord to charge me for that week. I also forfeited my deposits for utilities due to the additional week so no I would not advise that any one black goes to that location because that have a hint of racial prejudice going on there.

THIS TRUCK THAT I RENT IS VERY BAD AND CANT DRIVE AND DECIDE TO DROP OFF AT CORALVILLE AND I RENT VAN INSTEAD TRUCK. THAT TRUCK IS VERY SHAKING AND BOUNCING WHICH IS NOT VERY GOOD FOR ME THAT I HAVE MENIERE'S DISEASE. I RENT VAN IS MUCH BETTER AND MORE SMOOTHLY. I WANT REFUND BACK $390 DOLLARS.

When we arrived, we got in line behind a customer at the counter, and the staff member behind the counter called out and asked us what we were there for in an angry tone, like we were bothering him for being there. We replied that we were there to pick up our U-Box. He questioned what U-Box and said they didn't have any U-Box orders today. We replied that we had been notified that our U-Box had been delivered earlier that week. He acted irritated and said that we were supposed to give 24 hours notice (or similar) and they can't just get the U-Box for us because they're in storage. We had never been notified by U-Haul that we needed to give any notice to retrieve our U-Box, so this confused us. I wanted to state that we could just give notice then, but the employee was very agitated and hostile about it, and again, we were caught off guard because we were just quietly waiting in line when he forcefully started questioning us. At that point, he left to go check on our U-Box. We waited about 5-10 minutes, then he came back and said it was placed out where we could get to it. The other employees seemed helpful and friendly, and we did get to access our U-Box like we were hoping to, but the employee who "greeted" us and spoke to us was very rude and my wife and I found his customer service completely unacceptable.

First staff person I encountered as I walked into the store almost ran me over to get to the person walking in behind me to help them. I walked up to the counter and the woman behind the counter snapped at me when I told her I was there to pick up a trailer, “I will help you at the center desk when I get time”. Needless to say I was very rude to them after that, she needs to be held accountable for her behavior and disrespect for a customer. She got very upset when I was rude to her but she expected me to be nice and accepting of her rudeness. This was the worst U-Haul experience I have ever had.

The trailer had a turn signal inoperative and advised person assisting with no response. Not sure if ignored when informed him or was not listening as I was not going far and took trailer anyway without causing issues. Then I got my bill charged double what was quoted. Not happy about it as it was returned in lot earlier then time stamped. Definitely disappointed with that discrepancy. Not happy!!

The associate who unhooked my trailer said everything was good. Drove away and thought that was odd. Tried to do a self-check in and the app made it seem like I had done that. This was not the case and took two days of phone calls to get them to finally check it in but I was charged an extra day for a trailer I used for 2 and 1/2 hours. Customer service said they were having trouble with the app this past weekend. Extremely frustrated with U-Hauls app no clear instructions as to how to turn in equipment.

Could not be more pleased. Changed the day of pick-up, no problem. Little paperwork as I was in the system. A lady did the hook up, would not let me help. There was minor damage to the trailer fender. She immediately put stickers on to note the damage. Wonderful experience.

The customer service was sub par. I asked the guy helping me a question about the call I received asking me to pull a trailer and he ignored my question. When I asked a second and third time he responded but still did not answer my question. He walked off while I was talking to him. He did not stop and look at me until I cussed at him. His lack of regard for my age and the mere fact I was a customer made me come out of my character. It was a situation that lasted at least 5 mins before the assistant manager finally walked out, told me I needed to walk away and told him she would get the truck for me. She apologized for me being upset about the offer not understanding my anger was not about the offer it was the disrespect he showed in reference to my question. She continued to apologize for the offer being rescinded. Still not understanding it was his manner that upset me. I explained why I was upset several times and she still did not get it either.

The boss or an employee at Waterloo had used the truck. I guess I don’t understand. It was a very confusing crappy pick up. The truck was dirty and I exactly like how it is when we dropped it off that’s how we picked it up. I have pictures of the mileage and the gas. It was just at a quarter of a tank when we picked it up at 3:47 was finally when we got the truck.

That location is terribly understaffed. At times there were no staff at customer service point. The help when available was courteous and able to complete paperwork to checkout rental truck. I hate to mark well maintained. The truck obviously had serious hail damage.

Have more employees available to service customer and the wait time will not take so long. 2 walk in customers left while I was waiting and 8 waited 15 mins before helped.

Ensure the equipment is ready for use. The truck I was rented had an inside dual that was flat and was told by the road service provider, it had been flat for a long time. The tire was not identified flat until after the truck was loaded,, in my driveway and found during a walk around prior to departure. The U-Haul dealer refunded my money but due to the delay, I had to pay double for the hired help to stay late and assist unloading. I trust vehicle inspections are implemented and excused prior releasing for customer use.

The gas tank was not full, it is difficult to estimate how much gas to put in to have it where it was so needless to say you won on this one because you got extra gas. While tire pressure was good the sensor light was on I was told not to worry about it.

Windshield was covered with bug splatter marks, like it hadn’t been cleaned by the previous renter. Also, the fuel tank was only full to a quarter tank mark. Fortunately, I wasn’t driving very far, but if I had planned to hit the highway to travel a long distance I would’ve had to stop for fuel within a short period of time. Other than that, the truck ran great and served my purpose well.

Fought with u-haul customer service for hours after being charged multiple times for a storage unit and never being sent a unit number. When to this u-haul dealer and talked to the general manager Ross. And he treated me help and got me a unit at his location. One of the greatest managers I have talked to in a while.

I called two managers and received no phone calls back in the two days I’ve been waiting. I called before moving out to let them know and left it clean and they still charged my account after moving out. Now it’s been days I’ve called numerous ppl including corporate which apparently can’t do anything it’s got a be the store to sign you out of the unit but how if they never answer the phone. Am I to drive hours to that facility? Never will use U-Haul again after this. Watch your accounts everyone.

The problem I have is I have been paying for a storage unit that has majority of someone else's stuff that has not came to claim it after giving him way too much time to claim and I am willing to let go of everything and wipe hands free. I got signed up for a storage unit. They had issues getting into the units. But when I came with a load of stuff, they said its down still and I had no access to my unit! A week and a half or more later and still not fixed? This is completely unprofessional. I reported this to corporate. Had I had stuff in there, I would have called the police and reported theft. What a dive of a uhaul. This location should be shut down. They are unprofessional. The lady said oh well, I can't help you get in, come back and try again later. Um, yeah no. Your keypad wont let people into their storage units that cost 100 bucks a month, fix it. Don't tell them oh well and brush customers off. Avoid Waterloo Iowa location. I have had great luck at other locations and have moved a lot.

I rented over 12 months. Over 90% of my belongings were damaged because of unfixed water leaks and then this last month animal fecess and pee all over my belongings. Definitely don't recommend storing anything great. Personnel at the location or services are not the issue. They worked with me as best they could, was just getting run around about who to talk to about fixing the leaks. Never got fixed. It's the outside storage - don't rent those units out KNOWING there is water leaks until it gets fixed.

I had many paintings I stored in my unit and had placed them up of the floor in the space at the farthest end from the door. When I went to get my belongings I could only get the door partially open due to some damage to the door since i had put my belongings in. When i got close to the end I started noticing some boxes were wet and moldy. The water was coming in from the farthest point and had gotten all my paintings wet and ruined. I was asked if I had bought the insurance which I thought was more for theft. I'm out several thousand dollars because of what I feel is something that should have been caught before I rented the unit. Will not suggest uhaul to anyone.

I don't appreciate getting a storage space NOT big enough for all my things and I got a 15 inch truck! And because I was not given a big enough storage it took me a long time to figure out what I could get in there and how to put it in there! Because I'm moving out of town I have to get rid of a lot of stuff...I have nowhere to put the rest 😢 I've never had this problem before with this company until now.

These people go above and beyond getting your moving and storage needs met their awesome .So when they get busy and backed up just be patient everybody wants to move fast and say their slow no!!you have no patients !
