Great customer service from front desk! The guys outside helping helped a bunch too .
JACOB NOk listen. The people on the phone, at the pick up and drop off locations were great. Especially the gentleman at the 1700 N Cicero location. The employee at the Prospect Park U-haul location was a jerk (I'm being polite). What U-haul needs to do is *clarify* drop off location information. When completing the reservation there were two distant drop-off options in Chicago generated by the app. So I had to call. The agent on the phone was nice but could not clarify a a drop off stating: "There are so many zip codes in Chicago". That is a problem. Why is it my problem to solve? My first option was to ask the agent in Holland for the Portage Park location. He said he could not confirm that probably because they cannot handle this equipment. So I was left on my own to shop for a dropped off: A location that will accept drop off. Give the customer a break. YOU have a system to report locations that are full but as a customer I don't get that information. OK I get that the logistics are challenging. But U-HAUL must solve it not the customer. So....I go to the Portage Park location. Just to be confronted with an employee who demanded (!) to see the drop off location. I swear I saw the Portage location as an option in some type of communication of the (poorly designed) APP. Please review and tell me I am mistaken. What was revealed was 632 N Cicero. I asked the attendant where that was and got the reply "I don't know" and his abrupt exit. So I drive to 632 N. Cicero according to Google maps. It doesn't exist. I actually drove by 1700 N Cicero. But continued past it.Ttrusting that the 632 location was "U-Haul preferred". Screw it. I'm going to 1700 N Cicero and they are taking the trailer of my car. I expressed frustration, the gentleman was nice and took care of it. You have nice people working at your locations. But due to your vague reservation system I (customers) have to make demands expecting the worst from them? I want to hear from you. If this was my fault let me know what happened. But you need to get your act together.

You only had one worker signing out trucks and she was amazing (Jackie J) she worked 3 customers at a time and she really needed help, she deserves a raise or something for she's really Great at her job. VIVIAN RThe best thing you can do for the good of the community is to close this place. That vehicle smelled of marijuana and we had to endure that plague for three days time in which we rent the vehicle. But we never return to this place or recommend it.
MARIA PThe only issue I had was that the church engine light came on a few miles after picking up. I called Roadside Assistance and they told me that I could compete my trip since it wasn't flashing. No issues with the truck, dropped it off today.

LATARUS NFirst off, I came in to several of what your female desk person called "customers", acting like idiots and cussing like they were with their friends (which they were). Your female employee told them to stop because a customer was there. They didn't. Then, I was given a tow dolly that had broken straps tied in knots, not know until I reached my destination and we couldn't get the straps to work like the instruction. I called the location and was told to untie the knots. I then drove back to the location and was told that it was my responsibility to know whether or not the equipment I rented from you was safe. No, I rented equipment that should have been inspected prior to my rental of it. That's your job. I don't care if my tone or language was harsh. Your employees and their friends started that tone and language when I arrived the first time. This experience wasted hours of my time. Obviously there is no real management in that facility and employees lack the experience and training to know when they are sending out equipment that could potentially kill others if it fails on a highway at 55 mph. Tow straps should never be knotted to shorten them up and they most certainly should not be cut in two and tied together. Thank you for not knowing your jobs. Thank you for the unprofessional atmosphere. Thank you for wasting our time. Thank you for trying to put the blame back on me for your inexperience.
Marty MThe gas in the tank was below the level recorded in the paperwork. I told the person at the desk and you guys charged me anyway. They messed up the drop off location and told me they hadn't received the drop off. I had to call customer service to reverse all of these extra charges that were all uhauls fault.

ALMA WThe inside of the truck had sticky marks all over the cup holders. The lady inside at the front desk was extremely sweet and helped me the best she could. None of this is her fault and if I could give her five stars on her own, I would. The lady who brought out my truck gave no information whatsoever, just handed me my key and walked away. When I found her and asked about the back being open, she said it was locked. It wasn’t and it actually opened on the expressway. The gas was also filled up only a little past the quarter line when they tried saying it was half way full. Very disappointing for my first time renting from this location

The young lady told mean 10 o'block there we can go in there but the find out is closed at 10. The doors kept closing. I had to get access to it to the code and then. My daughter got locked in there but miss Jackie the manager. She came and let us get in freezing so we could finish moving to rest the her stuff inside the store soon thank you

I had been making payments every month or every other month and her statement just wasn’t true. Go to the storage facility in Woodbridge, IL. It will be a much better experience and they will NOT sell your belongings. Hobson Storage ONLY.

I setup autopay myself after that, and had no further issues. Attempts to reach the manager by phone and email were both ignored, so I wasn't able to get an explanation of what happened or get a refund on the late payments fee.

Rouow W | Overall ExperienceThis is what I wrote for the checkout comment portion: i will be sending an email to corporate about our truck fiasco when we received the truck on empty and was told we had to fill with gas for use to receive a credit when all we needed was a clean truck ready to use, how our room wasn't even cleaned out when we moved in, the lack of light not only in the room but in the hallway, the thermostats that read 90° constantly, the lack of toilet paper and paper towels for 2 weeks at a time, and the piles of spilled rice that was left in the hallway outside my room for 2 weeks. There is no way any sanitation practices were maintained and it is a health and safety issue due to covid. I couldn't even complete this form with a light on as all lights except for one have gone out. Horrible, I will never be back.

There is almost always only one person on duty making it very inconvenient for you to see a rep without standing in line with a mask for an hour. The general manager/owner is extremely rude and unprofessional. Corporate also gave me the run around, transferring me from one department to another with no results.
