I booked a trailer to haul my all-wheel-drive vehicle from Edmonton to Calgary and when I showed up, they provided me with a dolly. I spent three hours on the phone with U-Haul trying to get this rectified and absolutely nothing was done. Absolutely atrocious service.

Explain where to drop off trailers, as the drop off area is beside the building and only 1 Lane wide so there's no way to drop off a trailer and drive away.

Staff were friendly and helpful and made pick up and drop off super easy. The person who served me at pick up helped me out with an adaptor for my truck plug for the trailer I rented. The parking lot around the facility needs some repairs but I’d have no hesitation recommending this location and will come back again.

Great competitive price! Monthly fees are every 30 days! Not like Sentinel which charges every 25 days only! Open 24/7 for access to unit! Not like Sentinel which locks access to unit at 11:pm nightly!

The parking lot and service area is poor condition. Lots of large pot holes , pavement is broken up in a lot of places . Also very dirty. On a good note the people are very friendly and helpful!!

We dropped off in Kelowna which was where we had to go but because we couldn’t return to Edmonton got charged a wrong drop off location we we charged $760! This bullshit! We will never rent from U-Haul again! And tell everyone on facebook!

My attendant was very helpful. The place needs to function as a team. Meaning each attendant should be observant of the overall needs of clients. This means managing queue of customers although efficient execution of each client and through the speed with which assets are discharged and returned. Not all attendants are and understand that. You need to better build a culture of excellence so attendant helps the other by understanding the above.

I rented a 5x8 utility trailer when I picked it up, the attendant started twisting the safety chain to take up slack which is a no-no. Once the safety chain was attached properly, there was nothing to secure the safety chain hook. Usually on the set up is a rubber flap with holes that is used to make sure the safety hook doesn’t come undo. When I got the trailer home and loaded, one tire had only 10 lbs pressure. When I mentioned the safety flap for the hook, it was kind of poo-pooed and ignored. Also nothing to keep the hitch locked so it doesn’t come off the ball. NO PROPER KNOWLEDGE ABOUT HOOKING UP OR MAINTAINING EQUIPMENT. Poor attitude towards safety. Just there for a paycheque. Sad.

Sarah, the manager at this facility, was the ONLY one who helped me. No one else seemed to know what was going on at any time. As far as uhaul itself, it seemed that every time I went to the unit, there was a lock on it because either your system didn't update to reflect that I was PAID IN FULL, or the system was down. I used to belive in uhaul, but now, I wouldn't recommend it to anyone! If not for Sarah and her assistance, this would have been a total nightmare!

Drop off lane/designated spot on the right side was plugged with a 3 ton truck sitting there; this happened both on pickup and drop-off. My suggestion get the truck moved asap! All of this on a 2 lane dropoff road!

When I went in to the location at 11120 154 st, i waited in line for 45 mins, the guy at the front desk said he couldn't help me get access to my unit. So I had to go out of my way the next morning to go in again to get access. When I was moving in, there was a lot of sketchy people following us in. We asked if they had a key card and the one man become very aggressive. The people following them into the storage building were questionable and I felt uncomfortable there moving in and leaving my items. This felt like it defeated the purpose of a secure building. Someone in the group did have a key card, but they were the most questionable of all.

The manager went above and beyond to help us during a stressful time. I believe if Uhaul provides her the resources she requests or requires to invest in her her team she will have them up and running to the same level as she is, which will make them a vaulable resource in Edmonton, despite the company being American, during a trade war. Also noted that the tires were in much better shape for winter driving this time, very reassuring when hauling your life possessions in a 20' truck you've never driven before in a snowstorm.

I am a first time customer. I booked a car hauler online on April 4th which was straight forward. I stopped by on the morning of the 5th and staff allowed me to take a look at the trailer. It looked good. I then returned later that day at the scheduled pick up time and the pick up went well. I dropped off the trailer on April 6th and that went smooth. Overall no complaints or concerns and I will be coming back to this location for further rentals. Of note the trailer pulled straight, all the lights and breakers worked and I wish I could buy one like it. Great little unit.

This was the worst experience. I will absolutely NEVER be dealing with Uhaul again. The employees were the laziest, slowest, rudest people on the planet. Completely disorganized. I originally was going to pick the vehicle up via mobile pickup but realized I didn't need it as early as I thought I would. So iw just went in and picked it up at the counter. The guy was supposed to change the pickup time on the order but he never did, and so I had employees calling me during an incredibly stressful move telling me the truck wasn't returned on time and I needed to have it back immediately eventhoigh it had not even been 4 hours and I rented the truck for a 6 hour time frame. 2 different employees called me saying I was late, when I was not even close to being late, it was THEIR EMPLOYEE WHO DIDNT UPDATE THE INFOR IN THE SYSTEM AND THEY WERE BLAMING ME THE CUSTOMER FOR THAT. SO IGNORANT AND RUDE. Then when I rushed there like a maniac to drop the truck off after being harrassed by uhaul employees, there was no one there to accept it and had to sit in line waiting for 20 minutes. Absolutely unnapacceotable. Never again will I deal with uhaul.

The facility is good. The only suggestion for improvement I have, is that there was a bit of a shortage of carts available. From what I could tell there were only two in the building. And even though it wasn't very busy, I ended up spending about half my time waiting for a cart to become available.

The exterior of the truck was very dirty and the gas tank did not have the amount of gas the attendant marked on the rental sheet. It had half a tank but the attendant marked that it had 3/4 of a tank. When I returned the truck with that same amount of gas in it (as I only drove the truck for just over 30kms total, I was charged for the other 1/4 tank of gas that was not in it to begin with. It was not explained that the after hours return required a cell phone with data (which I don't have) in order to check the truck back in. Fortunately the person I was with was able to help with her phone.

The truck that they gave me should’ve been off the road. It was hard to control any kind of steering because it was pulling to the right. I nearly went off a cliff because it wouldn’t allow me to steer properly. The steering wheel is so loose. I did tell them, but they didn’t seem to care. And I did not have a dolly as I wanted. And actually, I should’ve had it some sort of a discount with it because I rented it at 9:45 I believe when it was supposed to be rented at nine and I returned it at three. That’s not even a full day. And the first place I rented it from at 9 o’clock with a store didn’t open until 11 and they did not assign the truck. It was so unorganized. It was a terrible morning. I would never rent from the one that I had to rent from and I think you folks need to check your U-Haul trucks a heck of a lot better, especially the one I just drove. But it’s all about money so you guys won’t fix things like that, but I’ll tell you if I had gotten to an accident I would’ve sued your asses.

The staff was ignorant. I did the self check in, proceeded to the side of the counter to collect keys. I was ignored. After 5 minutes, I stated I was just there to pickup the keys. I was told in an ignorant manner that they will be with me soon. It took 15 minutes to get my keys that only took 5 seconds. Absolutely ridiculous. Also, my time of truck return was 1 hour later than the fact.

Information received on equipment was inaccurate. I needed a trailer with a ramp and was told there was a ramp on n the trailer, but was given one with no ramp which was not discovered until I reached my destination.

When we rented the pickup today we were not told that we had to bring the truck back with the same amount of fuel in it as we left it. We got charged 50$ More that the original receipt without given the opportunity to go and put fuel in it. We just got charged. Not happy with the service we got today.

I would suggest that snow be plowed in the back of your facility where the storage units are. I helped move my friend who rented one of your storage units and many of his items were soaked with melting ice, from the melting snow.

The guy that told me the trailer was good for my van was wrong. The trailer was over sized for my van and could have seriously damaged my van and l could have had an accident. They didn't give me the right information when l called to discuss what the correct information with me.

Next time a confirmed booking should be available for the pick up time. The customer wants, we booked our van in advance and then received a call that our 10 AM pick up time was moved to 1 PM due to no vans available. This is very disconcerting as a customer, as this had a huge impact on our day as we had to reschedule a bunch of things rentals should be available and available for the time booked.

The staff were very unprofessional. The one girl that helped me was visibly sick. She did not do a walk around the vehicle with me. The vehicle was filthy, broken cupholder, broken radio. When I arrived back to return the truck, I sat outside, waiting for an attendant, but the camera was broken, so nobody came. Finally went inside to deal with a very unprofessional young man. The whole experience was awful. Will never use this location again.

When checking out, I found that the outside door would not allow me to return the storage trolleys as the doors were frozen and even though I pushed the putt on on every swipe card location, standing ing the blowing cold, no answer so had to get into truck and tell the front desk clerk. She said nothing was wrong on her side, which did not make me feel very happy at all. Also at check out another customer was going the wrong way on the signed arrow directional access and I later found out that the person had the other staff member in the vehicle with them. Could they not dive on their own, thus making me start to worry why the customer could not read the directional arrows, how good a driver was he? At check out I could not find the, up till then disabled chair in the disabled area and my pain was made worse for lifting and I was at least looking forward to being able to sit for awhile but that option was not for me, the person who consistently parks outside the main office with a blue badge. The person checking out the other customer was possibly the slowest typeset I have ever met. Not it was not a great day at you facility and the weather was brutal but timing is everything in this world.

I love using the indoor storage in between moving. It took me a bit longer to find something to buy, and I was worried about my things in storage if bugs or mice or something got in but nothing nothing everything was in perfect excellent shape. Over 3 hours to get a pre booked storage locker and pre booked truck. No organization and proper communication on the lockers. I had to walk back amd forth from storage site to U-Haul centre 5 times to retrieve a new locker as there was an issue with all. I was exhausted and late for my move and it cost me a lot of money to fix. So thank you U-Haul for again completely screwing me over on my moving day.

There were two major flood incidents at the U-Hail storage facility while I rented a small unit. One was caused by an overwhelming fire department response to an arson attack, pouring water on it for many hours. The second not that long after was caused by freezing and bursting water pipes during a hard winter. Both resulted in catastrophic damage for hundreds of storage units. Fortunately my unit experienced minimal damage in both cases, but the contents were covered in grimy dust. Staff responded in both cases in a very customer service oriented manner. The facility today shows no signs of the damage and a recent renter told me he had absolutely no problems and was completely unaware of any previous incidents. So hats off to U-Haul for dealing with things so well.

Online rent now feature indicated a lock would be provided and would be in the unit upon check in. There was no lock when we arrived. There was a broken door from one of the units, a shopping cart, and other debris in the doorway of the loading area. There were only two carts available and multiple people unloading/loading at the same time; I am not sure where the others went as there used to be more. The building is not very secure based on past experience, so I was concerned about having to leave my items while going to get a lock (the office was already closed). The unit was clean and ready for me when I arrived.

The exterior of the storage building wasnt very clean as some people left their garbage. Id also reccomend having a garbage bin outside to help keep the property ckean and so people can throw out unwanted irems or garbage. I wasnt able to licate one. Also my unit was hard to lock and unlock the door katch was not gliding very well at all and im not very strong. I asked the staff to wd40 it. Also online it said id get a free truck and lock which wasnt the case. After being charged for the truck the stagf said its only if you move in online. Which wasnt really specified when I reserved my storage unit online. Also there was no snow brush in the truck and it had snowed. My drivers door eoildnf hnlock with the key.

It did the job! It was confusing and frustrating trying to access the unit - I think having clearer instructions posted, re: the two different check-in thingies, might be a good idea. The doors are also a bit finicky. We couldn’t figure out if there was a way to keep the sliding door open while you’re moving in/out - if there isn’t a way, it would be great if one could be added eventually. The actual facility was very clean, no complaints there. The staff usually seemed kind of frustrated - maybe overworked? - and not the friendliest, but when you’re dealing with a bunch of Karens/stressed people moving, that’s kind of to be expected. We’re all humans. I didn’t experience any rude behaviour but witnessed some not so great interactions with other customers.

There were too many parties unloading at the same time so the space was cramped and tough to get our truck in there to unload. There is only 1 elevator, which is not convenient for multiple parties looking to move things. Due to the aforementioned, I was stuck paying the movers extra time since they had to navigate other people and wait for the elevator numerous times.

I am very disappointed with Westside Uhaul. First of all, when I moved to Alberta I was not informed that I needed storage insurance. All other Uhauls that I have used supplied the insurance. When I initially rented the unit the guy obviously DID NOT like his job. He was rude and was not helpful at all!!! This was the beginning of June 2023. Fast forward to August 2023, when I was informed via text that there was a fire in the 2nd building, which was where my storage locker was along with many others. I lost a brand new Mattress, brand new bed and alot of other items as well. I was also informed that the manager was going to be giving or allowing a free months rent or if we already paid that we would have the month returned . But...NO. This is a shady company/owner operator who all he thinks about is the bottom line the MONEY!!! He does not care that a lot of people lost their belongings due to ARSON. Of course Uhaul is saying it is not their fault one bit. Uhaul you disgust me. I will be telling people not to rent with you because all you care about is the MONEY!!! The only good thing I can say is that the one associate (who was tasked to clean the units) I was talking to when I was moving out made my day. He was great to talk to and very sympathetic and empathetic to what had happened. So, Thank you to I think his name was Josh not sure.

The loading dock in building B was covered in shattered glass, and the parking stalls next to the loading ramp were taken up by storage pods. Since someone else was using the loading dock this left us with hardly any space to park in, and we had to walk through glass up the ramp to get inside. Otherwise the experience was fine.

Great staff but leading dock was partly blocked by a trailer. Loading bay barely fit my tiny car. Dollies were tiny. Storage area stunk bad like raid. And Worst thing was the locker had bugs in it. Everything was good until the fire. Items were tossed without owner's permission. Elevator out of service since fire so extremely inconvenient when your storage unit is on the second floor. Trying to haul everything down the stairs was hard and time consuming. Anyone affected by the fire and on the second floor should have had a decrease in the monthly fee for the inconvenience of no elevator. Also, if the person who's unit caused the fire, then that person's insurance should be responsible for the loss of damaged items in all units affected.

This was the least professional and most incompetent company I’ve ever dealt with! My stuff was moved to another site without my permission, and then your company refused to return it to the site I had stored it at! The site manager refused to speak to me, and the equipment I had rented did not include the dolly my reservation clearly stated I needed. I originally had my belongings in climate control where your company moved them outside where there was considerable freezing damage done to my belongings destroying large amounts of my things! Not only will I never use your company for anything ever again I will be telling everyone I come across how terrible your services are!

First there was a fire and I was never notified and didn’t find out until months later that some of my stuff had been thrown out and no pictures were taken of what was lost that I could provide to insurance. Just a note saying rugs and blankets. Now I find out there has been a flood!! Tried for days to call and get through and left messages that were not returned. Finally got though today and got little to no answers

Fire in building has caused myself a lot of work cleaning and the loss of damaged goods with zero compensation. Loosing the use of the elevator I had to hire two labours to help move the locker down the flight of stairs to the truck.

The individuals who helped yesterday were the first group to be helpful. When initially getting my unit I was told I couldn’t get a unit rented when I had an outstanding truck rental (which was full of the items I needed to store). They prompted me to use someone else’s name, I said sure so long as I keep authorization. They ended up not authorizing me. Which would have been ok if there hadn’t have been a fire which caused my first lock to be cut requiring me to find someone to come check in while I was out of town. This is when I found out I didn’t get the authority I requested. To top it off I had my unit lock cut again when they came back to repair drywall. Coming to empty out my unit I could barely access the place because so many uhaul boxes were jammed in the lot. It took us 20 minutes to find the price of a cargo bar cause it was stored in the wrong location and tag was ripped off. (Was the only one left). And the storage area had puddles dozens of garbage cans blocking hallways making it harder to get items out of our unit. The manager who helped me at the end was knowledgeable and I heard he managed the move from one unit to another in my absence, none of my items were damaged even though difficult to move. Otherwise it was a terrible experience.

Lost my mattress and bed frame and my chais lounge and some priceless mementos in the fire due to black mold. I was originally told the fee payments for my unit would be taken out automatically so I didn’t take much time to pay attention to the withdrawals and I apparently after a representative mentioned that this would be occurring apparently there was a glitch in the system and so they weren’t automatically withdrawing my payments me so I did end up having to pay a lump sum of $293 on top of that they wouldn’t reimburse me for my damaged items. Prior to the fire I had only had my items there for a month..so as of today I have cancelled my unit taken my things and thrown them in the garbage and I’m not happy about the service there.

Honestly this fire really messed things up for a lot of people. I know everyone’s busy, and possibly trying the best they can. Frankly I felt they stole from a lot of people, including myself. I’m not even sure how a propane tank can be “damaged” by water. I had a lot of valuable things in my storage unit that cost thousands of dollars. All of it gone. And all they could do and say is pretty much it’s not there problem. I wouldn’t recommend this storage facility to anyone. I’m extremely disappointed and frustrated with how they handled everything. It just seemed so wrong. I personally feel like this place is extremely crooked.

I would give this facility a 0 out of 5, if I could. What a horrendous experience. My storage locker was one of the ones affected by the fire in late summer. I was at work at a remote camp 1,500 km away when it happened, so I took U-Haul up on their offer of free services to empty and clean my storage locker. I had 99% of my personal belongings in that locker, as we had moved from Ontario to Alberta and stored our household until we could find a place to live. Several of my items were disposed of during the cleaning, which I understood. What I'm upset about is the fact that several damaged and moldy items were put back in the storage unit. Most of the items in my unit were filthy when I moved out. Power cords for my printer and espresso machine were thrown out or lost when they reboxed those items. Several items have also gone missing, such as my classic SNES. I've had to throw out additional appliances that were covered in mold. Another annoyance is that, despite being forced to buy a round U-Haul lock when I rented the unit, they cut it off and replaced it with a generic U-Haul lock that I wasn't allowed to use in the first place. Rules for thee, not for me! They also documented the damage to my items for their insurance adjustor, but told me I couldn't claim for any damages. Other than the fire issues, this location is incredibly cramped and busy. The staff seem to be burnt out and unmotivated (can't hardly blame them). I tried to access my unit at 7PM one day, and got stopped by a security guard (access was supposed to be until 10PM!). Overall, a terrible terrible experience. I'm out several thousand dollars due to water damage caused by flooding from a blocked drain in their parking lot, and I've had to clean and disinfect my belongings after their "professional services" handled things (sometimes with sticky fingers). I'll never use U-Haul again, and this wasn't my first cross-country move with them either.

Fire took place. Many of our belonging had water and smoke damage. Many of our items were discarded in the dumpster by the clean up crew. Lots of things are missing. The chaos for clean up was unbelievable. I would never use U-Haul again. One or two of the staff were knowledgeable, the rest of the staff were lazy and rude.

I didn't even move in. Once checked in I went to the loading dock. The dock was entirely covered with stuff that it was hard to walk. It was blocked with man lifts. The access card didn't work. When I went back into the store the line was so long that I didn't want to wait. Called the store later and asked to cancel the contract and get a refund. The charge is still pending on my card so hopefully it comes off soon.

Your "secure" storage facility caught fire and destroyed literally ever possession I owned. The fire was intentionally set. It burned for ten hours, which gives me serious misgivings about the fire suppression system at this location. Every possession I had was reduced entirely to ash. Metal objects were melted into unrecognizable shapes. To add insult to injury, U-Haul only communicated with us about the fire using text messages, and forced me to attend the site twice without actually giving me access to the unit. The team onsite was friendly, but seemed poorly prepared and overworked, with little support. When I finally got access to the unit, it was with the insurance adjuster provided by U-Haul, with the goal of assessing the insurance costs for the corporation. This took roughly 30 seconds, as there were no surviving possessions to note. There was no consideration given to assessing my own insurance needs, or even the human impact of the losses. The task of cleaning up the unit was given to an army of casual day labourers, who were given substandard gloves and safety equipment, no tools, and little training. The premises were unlit and unsecured, heavily contaminated with water and smoke damage, and unsafe for both the casual workers and for the storage unit owners. As a measure of the disrespect that U-Haul apparently holds for human life - nobody even had a flashlight, an item that costs less than 10 dollars and could prevent a serious injury to U-Haul personnel, their casual labor force, or the customers attempting to salvage their burned possessions. At ever turn, the impression I had was a massive multination corporation looking out only for it's own interests, while paying it's people the absolute minimum, ignoring customer service, safety, security, and the rights that it's customers have to fair treatment, transparency, and respect. The worst decision I've ever made in my life was trusting U-Haul with my possessions. I believe that many people who made the mistake of using your storage facility would feel the same way.

All my stuff burned in the fire you had at your storage. Which is fine cause it wasn't uhaups fault, but after the fire while the storage unit was open a bunch of my things were stolen from my unit that wasn't burned and noone is taking responsibility for it, I'm also not getting those back so not only did I lose almost everything in the fire but I lost a bunch of things that were stolen. So not too happy. Before the fire though the storage was great, I'm just not happy about my Xbox and Nintendo getting stolen.

Whether it's a moving truck ( I got a one way rental from Phoenix AZ to Great Falls MT in the past and everything was perfect) or for storage or materials, U-HAUL is always there for me. Thanks to Chane Munro and staff at the 111 avenue Edmonton store. I will return when necessary. PS- I am a 70 year old single female and rely heavily on such services to assist me.......

Staff were grumpy bordering on rude We were assigned an inside locker and could only access through small door until 10:00 pm. We got locked into the parking lot by other U-Haul vehicles and had to take trailer off to get out of parking lot and reattach. We did not get a free lock because I couldn’t use iPhone to log in although U-Haul call centre said I could get one when I explained my difficulty.

They don't have prorated rates for storages. I have to pay full price in last year November for 2 days, That's a ripoff. And use this storages almost 8 months. Any storage facilities offer prorated rates. Management need to consider this option when they do business.

First, I must say Josh is fantastic and the most friendly/professional individual I have encountered at this location. This review in no way reflects him. I have been into this location about 4 or 5 times and the staff talk, laugh and joke around with each other more than they focus on customer service. This leads to information not being passed on to the customer such as the sliding door for the storage facility locking at 7pm. I called the after hours number as we were not sure why the door wouldn't open anymore and got no response. I came back to this location thinking my last experience was maybe just a one off but, it seems to be the norm. The recommendation is to contact the facility before leaving feedback but, who do you call?...

The people that I dealt with were great. My issue came with billing. I had tried to communicate my issues to U-Haul but was unable to successfully do so. I was set to return my vehicle on one side of Edmonton that neither had storage space to assist me or capacity to take my vehicle. Angie was great - she found me an alternative spot to drop off the truck and have storage. This would require time. I was meant to drop my truck at 6 am but even with all the running from one end of the city to the other I was still able to arrive at the final location before noon. But I was charged a full extra day for the truck. And on top of that I was charged additional KM why is there not enough KM offered to make it to Edmonton. + I had to travel through the city extra KM to make up the new drop location. The final billing on this trip was not fare. and I have rated my experience poor.

The west end location for storage is a nightmare if your trying to unload and load from your storage units all the returns are in the worst spot you cant turn around with a trailer without popping the cub and cutting off almost half the one lane.. it is extremely inconvenient and something that should be looked at and requires Improvement.. the gentleman I dealt with at the Kingsway location was absolutely fantastic he came out of his way to come hook me up drop off my dolly and swap me out on an unenclosed trailer halfway through my rental he is a neighborhood dealer but was extremely professional and effective for his location I would actually call him before I called your U-Haul locations to wait on hold for 15 minutes LOL

I would like to suggest that you give a pro rated rate if people move out on the first of month, I ended up paying for a whole month at 195.00and only needed it until April first had to pay until April 22 2023 from Oct 22 2022 , you might find people are more receptive to renting from you . I booked online with a CC and took a photo of my DL to make my reservation. When I arrived in the morning the reservation was there but none of the photos were and the whole reservation had to be cancelled and started over - so basically I had to go through the process twice which was a time waste for what the online process is for. The staff were all friendly and helpful. The facility was CLEAN on the interior. My only complaint was that there is a MAJOR drainage problem with ice buildup and melting at this site. It may affect storage units with flooding just looking at it. The overhang at the entrance designed to protect from water actually feels like its pouring water on you and gets your stuff wet. Could be improved. But overall for sure I will use U-haul again thanks! Hope this helps your teams.

For numerous reasons that I have expressed to your head office in point form and that I will be elaborating on with a Ms. Manning and a registered letter to your company ceo, I have Never had a more unprofessional experience in my life when dealing with a multinational company. I will most certainly be telling everyone I know to steer absolutely clear of the west end u-haul until there is a change in management and key staff. As far as resolving any dispute before leaving this comment, i do not wish to subject myself to the possibility of anymore unfounded accusations that when quickly shown to not be the case, no apology was given. At all or in any way. Suffice it to say yes, it was that bad of an experience.

Originally rented a 5 by 5 unit, but it was actually 5 by 4, then with the roll up door it was 4 by 4 so I needed to upgrade to a 5 by 10. Which again was only 9’ deep. The parking lot and access to the building is very cluttered with trucks and trailers making it take way too long to unload and access the ramp

He stated I can keep the lock I purchased before I rented the storage space . Yeah I hope I can keep the lock I prepaid for before I rented the unit. If not I guess the police can get called .

Jayson Castillo was friendly and helpful. We reserved our storage online and it was a bit hard to find in the system once we went to the store. He was patient. 2 of his colleagues were also able to help. So thank you! The loading/unloading dock the day we moved was busy and I find that there is not enough space to park in that area. Inside was very clean though.

The storage unit with exterior access was flooded during move-in in August. The staff, when called by me from BC, went out and roved a lot of water from the floor. I can only assume they helped her lay the orange tarp on the floor also. Most boxes were dry but underneath the tarp there was still plenty of water. Fortunately none of my belongings wete ruined but one box st the rear of the unit containing durable goods was falling apart from being soaked with ground water. Thankfully my stuff was removed before freeze up. The staff on move out were pleasant and accommodating. Unfortunately I think I left my credit card behind and it was used for numerous food purchases and attempted online purchases which were reversed before I checked my online account and cancelled the card. Or there’s a possibility that another customer took my credit card. The staff on duty yesterday were not the same people who I dealt with when I moved into my smaller unit in August.

I was able to use a cart to move my stuff into my storage unit. There were other people arriving to take or bring stuff to their own units. More carts would have been handy in that situation. Looked like there was parking for 6 carts but there was only one the whole morning I was there.

I was told how to enter access codes. Not told how to open the main sliding door to push the dollys in and out. No insurance was spoken about but was checked off on my paperwork. There is no light in the storage unit. Had to provide information for a third party not residing at my address for security purposes. Which makes no sense. It would be my husband who would be the next person to contact if I can’t be reached not a friend. I will be working hard to downsize the amount in storage in short order so I can eliminate the need for the locker completely.

Maria, a staff member working in the units, was exceptional! In addition to being an extremely friendly person, Maria assisted us when we realized that the unit we had reserved was going to be too small. Maria sourced a larger unit for us and took care of all of the requirements to facilitate the change. This was of course over and above her normal duties. The rest of the staff at the facility were good, and there we have no complaints, but service like that which Maria provided is what would make me go out of my way to use that facility over others that may be closer.

The road in/out was never plowed. Deep groves of ice and snow for my small car to drive around. It did not appear ice melt was ever put down. Slippped and fell at one point. A very large truck was parked on the ramp on my move out and I asked if it could be removed. It was not. There never seemed to be enough staff and the wait times were always long, but kudos to the pleasant, hard working staff that do work there.

Kyrstyn and her staff are nothing short of amazing. She is dedicated, cheerful, considerate, and as are Justin and the rest. But what REALLY impressed me was Maria. Her demeanor and helpfullness were next level, to say the least. On the other hand, the call centre was average and could most definitely learn from Kyrstyn and her staff.
