SHARVONNE SThe employee who took care of me seemed the most competent and customer friendly employee who has worked at this location in the past two years, the time I have been renting from U-Haul. He should be looked at for a higher position in management. Some people "have it," and others "don't." This young man was so much more mature and customer smart than any employee I've ever encountered at U-haul. I have extensive experience with U-haul having made a major move from the San Francisco Bay Area to Redlands, CA, driving 5 26-foot truck, renting 7 of your storage units, and countless open-air trailers. Having interfaced with no less than 50 different employees, this young guy was THE BEST!

THERESA WOriginally was scheduled to return it at Yucaipa Trailer. They weren’t there during their business hours and would not answer the phone or return messages. They should not be a UHaul representative
John KMiguel at your facility is absolutely incredible. He’s been there many times when I go he is so friendly, helpful and just one of the best customer service people I have ever been around.
PATRICK FHonestly, get rid of Miguel. He has NO customer service manners. He was the worst person to deal with. Tearing up my personal truck, later I said, the utility cable was split. But he said to me ,I run this shop. I said no you don't. I'm a professional truck driver, driving fo over 30 years. It was a split cable so I had NO signal on rear left. He said NO you're truck has issue. He was also removing fuses when it wasn't the problem. That person WILL make you guys LOOSE. Customers.

Angel AI always appreciate how easy it is to pickup the equipment i need and that they have hitches and accessories in stock (which has saved me a time or two haha) and very reasonably priced. The wait can be a bit much sometimes so it definitely helps to check in prior to arriving to save yourself some time.

ANNA SThe truck stunk of cigarette, the floor of cab was dried spill, the inside windshield dirty when the sun hit I couldn’t see and I had nothing to clean the windows with. There was no walk around performed by associate. U-Haul is the only rental that I know so I have to say yes I’d refer a friend
VIOLA GFirst problem, everything must be done on your phone with a text they send you... that takes 4 hours to arrive. Imagine having a reservation for 9am, and you can get it at 1pm, but that is when your finally get the text to scan your drivers license, because they have lost all ability to scan it in person. Then... this is a new one, a lot of people won't know about this yet, but... as a business it needs to be fixed... the state of California has started issuing Digital ONLY Drivers licenses, it is optional for now, but... U-Haul has zero ability to accept them. Because again, they require that you use your own phone and take a picture of a physical card. That needs to be updated. Then... I don't normally rent trailers, but... renting a trailer, and it was not brought to the pick-up area for us, they made us drive behind their building to their shop area and hook up the trailer back there... and then drop off the trailer back there. On top of all of that, the person working the counter to check us in, seemed to be upset that she was working, and really couldn't care less about trying to find a solution to the problem of... not being able to get text messages from them. This was genuinely a bad experience and I really hope to not have a repeat ever. The only reason this gets 2 stars, is because we did get the trailer, and got what we needed moved on time.

APRIL LI rented a tow dolly, and i had to purchase a electrical adapter and a receiver and ball hitch in order to use it. I was not happy about that, because i feel that uhaul should supply the necessary adapters if a person rents their equipment.

I suspect the mechanical brakes drag because I get better mileage hauling heavier loads with different equipment than I did empty going down hill with either U-Haul trailer rented on the same route

JOYELLE FI arrived to be met with staff who clearly don’t like their jobs (not welcoming, not smiling, etc.) only to be told the trailer I reserved wasn’t actually available. I was offered a different more expensive trailer and, had I been inexperienced in negotiations, would’ve been forced to either pay more or not rent at all. The trailer I rented was filled with dirt, debris, a coke can, candy wrapper and gum. When returning the trailer a couple of hours later, the wait to receive service was unacceptably long and the girl who came out to unhook the trailer happened to be 6 months pregnant per her own words! Hopefully her baby wasn’t harmed as she bench pressed this trailer off my suv. Crazy. The entire experience was less than desire able. Clearly management has failed in the training department and should be replaced. By the way, one of the male workers who seemed to be dressed different than the others (looked like a manager) walked into the store, walked right past me and my two sons and acted as though we were ghosts. Not a “good morning”, “how can we help you”, “thanks for waiting”, “someone will be with you shortly”. Nothing. Are we customers? Or is it somehow taken for granted that we will only do business with U-Haul and have no other rental options. If this is how your company will continue to operate, you will fall to the wayside as has Bed Bath and Beyond, Macaroni Grill and other neighbor businesses of yours. It’s absolutely free to smile and be friendly especially when asking money from others.
ANTONIO RHad a lot of issues with scheduling the delivery of the UBox. Not able to schedule in time due to delivery truck issues, and also was delivered outside of the timeframe - had to take off work all day.
