Manager Ms. Erica and agent Ms. Jackie were extraordinary and exceptional in support, customer service, and professional behaviors from our initial meeting to our farewells. In all of my years of customer service experiences, I have never worked with or experienced a team like those from the Gage Park facility. If ever asked which Uhaul facility would be a good place for storage, I will always recommend the Gage Park facility.

This location didn't let rent the VAN, the worker told me I needed a MAJOR CREDIT CARD to rent the VAN, I only have a CHASE DEBIT CARD, and I like to pay cash when needed. I was not pleased at all , I had to rent a 10-10 truck, very disappointed! I don't understand why other uhaul offices let me rent the VAN with my debit card. Why don't the company have the same policy everywhere!!!

I think that when you break the seal on a piece of equipment and it's not working properly you shouldn't be charged for it the dolly on the truck was all messed up and I couldn't lift anything with that particular equipment so I don't think you should charge your customers for something that doesn't work and not sufficient but other than that all was good

I always rent from this location Normally the trucks are top notch A word of advice when they start the trucks up to move them around it only a second to check gauges and wipers No trucks should have low tire pressure lit or a completely broken wiper on laying in the slot i didn’t gig you for it in the review because they switched trucks out with no complaints

There were 3 uhaul storage/rental facilities closer than the 8 miles and 40 minutes to drive to pickup the truck and the auto transport. The assistant manager? started the truck and hooked up the trailer while I signed the paperwork. I would have liked to check the fluids/under the hood and the tire air pressures but it is 21 degrees in Chicago in November so I’m positive he did not. (The auto transport 4 tires were 6 to 10 psi below max cold. The steering tires and the rear tires were 6 to 8 pounds low. I added the correct air pressure at a convenience store before loading the truck and trailer. Not fun but necessary to do.) He took a broom out to sweep the leaves out the back but was ineffective as I had to sweep out a dozen or so leaves. The fuel gauge did read full but by the time we go back to the apartment it had dropped below full. Before leaving the next morning, I checked the fluid levels before starting the engine and they were perfect. First day on the road 20 miles from our first stop outside of Dayton OH the wrench light comes on the information screen. Called Uhaul Roadside Assistance very nice and helpful to send a local contracted mechanic to come the next morning at 7 am. (Set the alarm for 6:30 and he called to say he’s outside just after my alarm went off). After checking the tire pressures by sound with a hammer, tightening the gas cap and looking under the hood with a flashlight and the engine running he cannot find what caused the warning light to come on. He did not hook up a obd code reader for diagnostics. The wrench light did not come on while he inspected the truck. He did explain this light can come on for just about any reason and if the issue was serious the truck would go into ‘limp mode’ and I should pull over and call. The only comfort I had in making it home was that I had a 2023 Toyota Camry on the auto transport to shelter in or drive home. The wrench light did not come on until we had driven 6 hours and on the last fuel stop it came on as soon as I was on the interstate. The next morning I did check the obd codes as the open end wrench warning light was on and there were codes for the emission controls which probably meant I used way more gas than normal avg 6 mpg for the 842 miles driven. Improvements: Show the customer the under the hood fluid check and certify the tire air pressures. Peace of mind on a 2018 Ford with 110k miles on it. Mechanic should have run the obd codes to specify the issue with the warning light. It’s unnerving to drive through open country in 20 degree winter weather with a warning light that comes on for any number of reasons.

It took a long time for a single male attendant to check in the van I rented. He seemed reluctant to leave his chair or look out into the lot as I sat there for 10 to 15 minutes and no one was in the office area when I coaxed him to do his job and check me in.

I have so many inconveniences at the U-Haul storage of Gage Park. The general manager there have poor customer service skills, the staff did not do their job properly. The facility was very dirty I had complained to the manager about rat feces and cockroaches and exterminator was never called. Please feel free to contact me at any time cuz I have videos in my phone and I contacted corporate about all these situations and the allegations made against me and I've been a U-Haul customer for a lot of years and I was treated with disrespect. I’ve stored my belongings at this location for over 3 1/2 years. The staff was very polite. Even in the pandemic I was locked out, embarrassed I kept losing the key no worries we got you. My father even moved his belongings with mines because some people where stealing at another location! (Water under the bridge) I WILL be missing those warm greetings 😍 THE ENTIRE STAFF IS AWESOME!

Didn't enjoy signing a contract to later meaning two years later to be notified that the rates were changing for all customer's. I felt as though that should have taken affect for new customers seeing I had already been there two years. Seeing they don't honor a contract on there behalf I had to clean out throw away just refuse to continue with this company.

Francisco goes above and beyond for her customers. Whenever there would be an issue, she would be on the phone even if it were after hours to get it resolved. I remember being so amazed at one point throughout my stay because my black was jammed and I could not figure out why the keys wouldn't go. She was so experienced and came up with her power tools and had to drill it open. She was busy but knew it important for me to get to my belongings that day. She had staff handle everyone else and came up too quickly help me out. Over the past 3 years I have use this facility over and over just because of Francisca and her staff customer service. She trains them very well. This storage location is out of the vicinity where I moved, but I drive the extra 30 minutes to use them.

Customers were fighting over elevator. Not enough elevator. My unit was on the 4th floor. It took 3 times longer sharing elevator 8 other people. Elevator was to small.

The outcome however was poor there was confusion about the hours at the storage facility that I actually was trying to rent when I got to that facility. It was Hora en told then I had paid 3 months in best. I'm still not settling with the manager. She was kind enough to make another lease agreement with me, but I've still not been forwarded the Correct change, it's a nightmare.
