I returned the equipment on time and was charged a fee for an extra day. The receipt showed a return time of almost 2hours later than when I actually returned it. I called the location and they told me to call U-Haul customer service. U-Haul customer service told me that they filed the dispute and that I would receive a call from a manager. I have not received a call. I will not use U-Haul again in the future and have been a frequent customer prior to this. I will also be filing a complaint with the BBB and anywhere else I can find to do so.

The attendant that unhooked the trailer from my vehicle did ask about the serviceability of the trailer, and took my comments about the leak on the mattress that I hauled. Making sure the equipment is fully functional is important.

This was the first time I used U-Haul in quite awhile. I’m very satisfied except I wasn’t particularly happy having to take my own photos of the rental van. Take picture of roof? There was a glitch in the process and I had to take pictures all over again. Checkout process a bit too long. But otherwise was satisfied with the rental van.

I had to change from a Pickup Truck to a Cargo Van because another customer didn't return the truck but it all worked out and I was satisfied with the outcome. I don't think they could have done anything different. I was offered a Pickup at another location, but that didn't work for me. All in all it was very good customer service. Your employee was excellent and very friendly.

When I dropped off the unit google took me to storage locker part of the U-Haul facility that adjoined the rental location. The storage unit was very narrow and I was in a 26’ truck and backing out would have been impossible without risking damage to the unit. There were a couple trailers in the way that stopped me from driving thru to the rental office so I parked the truck and walked to the office and explained to the gal at the rental desk why I didn’t want to try to back out and felt the easier solution was to move the trailers. She agreed said it happens often that people end up there and I completed my rental. As I was being picked up by my friend the friendly gal at the front came up to the car and told me her manager wanted me to know that they weren’t going to move the trailers that were in the way and in the event that THEY damaged the truck that I was going to be responsible for the damage. I immediately went to talk to the manager and told them I won’t be responsible for any damage to the unit if they damage it moving it and the best solution was to simply move the two trailers over to make room for the large truck. He said that was too much work and he didn’t have the manpower for that and it was on me to move it or risk being charged if one of them damaged it. I stayed right there and called customer service and explained the situation and the representative agreed that moving the trailers was the best option and that I wouldn’t be responsible for damage. He even sent me an email so I could send him pictures of the situation. While I was on the phone with customer service I see the young gal that checked me in bring out a trailer dolly to move the trailers. Mind you she is maybe 110 pounds and it is pouring down rain. The manager is approximately 200 pounds, and about 6’ tall maybe in his late thirties. He stays in the dry storage unit while this little gal is trying to jockey around these trailers that she could hardly move. I’ve never seen anything like it in my life. His laziness was off the charts and his customer service was nonexistent. This guy has no business managing people. I very much appreciated Stephen from customer service and the young gal that tried her best to be helpful. She was polite and helpful but unfortunately put in a very difficult situation by her manager.

Very rude owner. Needed a trailer in s hurry. Walked in and his responded was "did you make a reservation" , We had not because it was needed quickly. His attitude kicks in and proceeds to berate us because it makes it harder for them to have it ready without time to get one ready. Mind you, they had about 20 trailers sitting there. He then proceeds to enter all the information into his system and then all of us go out to get the trailer. Instead of picking one that is available and right by the door, he picks one that makes it have him move that one and dig out another one all the time complaining about having to move one basically because we didn't reserve one. Complete jerk, not going back to that one and not going to recommend it.

All employees in the establishment did not know that someone aged 16+ could rent a car transport trailer. It is listed on the official website and no one who works there knew. I was also given the incorrect trailer number for the trailer I rented and was almost charged for someone else’s rental a week later. The error was resolved. Other than that, everything went smoothly.

We arrived at u-haul when it opened at 7am. The manager would not open the garage door for us to access our box. He said he had 15-20 minutes of work to do first. We found another employee who opened the door so we could access our box. He just had to push a button. We were very frustrated by the rude and dismissive customer service by the Milwaukie, OR U-Haul manager.

Great location , only one guy working , amazing guy, but he deserves additional employees for such a large location! There is no way one employee could handle everything , made me nervous that something might have been missed on the truck for maintenance ? it was pouring down rain , was impossible to see any dents , dings , scratches , no covered area to inspect the truck , no way of know if it was maintained ?

I will take the blame for not asking when I rented the unit if they were a franchise and I wouldn't be able to make changes, etc. from any U Haul location, as I live across the country in a different State, although I never though to ask that question as this was my first experience storing items for my daughter, needless to say I ended up paying 3 years for a storage unit until I could move her back to Portland to retrieve her belongings. If she hadn't been in the hospital with a 20% chance of living when I stored everything, this would have never happened. Thankfully she survived, but this location was less than helpful to say the least.

The location is quite busy, so I had to wait for a while each time I needed something. But they tried to make sure i knew they'd seen me, set expectations of time when possible, etc.

Well the staff and everybody was very friendly it's just the entrance in needs some improvement as me any of times my items fell off the cart and the right hand side of the door does not stay open. And they are a little pricey compared to all other facilities. But the entrance hours were nice.

The concrete is so broken up in front of the doors to the storage units, anytime you use a cart it rattles all your things to fall off the cart, because of the destroyed concrete in front of the door, it really needs to be fixed, other than that everybody is on point, fantastic facility with great people!!!

They do not give you very good access to any indoor storage units, they complain if you open any outside doors to get closer to the indoor upstairs unit, and threaten to charge you if you accidently lock 🔐 your unit closed but not fully latched, and threaten to make you pay$50 fee, and repurchase one of their locks, They will not let you use your own locks. And just over all rude when talking to you about it. In my opinion way over priced for all the BS.

The truck was 100% out of gas when i picked it up (the paperwork said it was 1/4 full so I had to buy extra gas (once to get to my destination and once to return it at 1/4 tank) Then after hours of exhausting moving, I arrived at the storage we bought with my remaining items to store. I couldn’t access my storage. I put in the code and it said “kalvin you’re checked in” but the store never unlocked so I could open it! I couldn’t find the manager on site. No one answered the phone including the facility manager whose text number I had from the card. So i had to drive the truck to my sisters house, past my drop off time and using extra miles, to store my stuff in her garage temporarily.

I am remiss for not getting the name of the wonderful woman who helped me. I know she was born in HI and moved to OR when she was in her teens . . . I hope this helps ID her. She was spectacular!! Originally I was slated to move into two smaller, middle of the building units then right as my moving help arrived, she realized that there was ONE larger unit. Turns out that unit was filled right to the door and was the perfect size for my stuff. What a great first experience of kindness in my new home. I had moved from IL to OR and was just road weary and because I am using the storage, technically "homeless" at the moment. Her kindness lifted a heavy burden and made my life just a bit better in that moment. Kudos to her and to the management for hiring and promoting human kindness.

I’m paying $155 a month and when I opened my unit to see part of the ceiling gone because of a huge brown box . They dropped something from above and now I have less of a fricken storage unit. Never had this happened. When I walk in I almost hit my head and I’m 5”4. I will be dealing with this tomorrow I’m not paying this amount for half of a storage fricken unit and believe you me i will take pictures and get this out . What an absolute scam.

When I called to make reservations I was told the facility closed at 7pm but the access hours were until 10pm. Then when I called the day of to confirm because I was running behind schedule I was again told as long as I checked in by 7 I'd definitely have time to empty my truck. When I made the reservation I was also told it was a first floor unit. It was not it was at the top of a flight of stairs.

I interacted with 3 of your staff members. One of them was friendly and helpful, answered my question quickly and efficiently. The other 2 had customer service skills that could have been outdone by a porcupine - slow, surely, very unpleasant. This is a very temporary solution for keeping my daughter things between apartment moves. I chose U-Haul storage because I have used our local storage in Washington several times and have always had a fantastic experience. That experience did not carryover to this location unfortunately.

The accessibility to my storage unit by truck or car is inconvenient. I have to go to customer service and ask someone to walk out and unlock a gate for easy access. Sometimes I can’t even reach it going thru the parking lot to reach that way. Tho I will say every time I have asked someone has gone right out. But I worry about if all representatives are with customers having to wait, I’m never using my vehicle so I worry about tying up whoever is helping me.

Upon arrival (after a nine hour drive), I was informed the storage unit I had reserved weeks in advance was not available. Instead, I was given two smaller and extremely inconvenient units- inside and upstairs where we couldn't bring the truck (it would have been hours of backbreaking work to unload and re-pack. The staff were not friendly or apologetic. I cancelled the reservation and went to Public Storage, where everything was incredibly smooth, easy and comfortable. When I returned the truck the next day, I had barely opened the door to check in when the person at the desk yelled at me from across the store that he didn't need anything from me and to leave the truck and go. My experience with the truck and pick up in LA was good, but I will never return and will never recommend U-HAUL storage. Public Storage was a far superior experience.

My husband and I arrived at our local u-haul facility after a 9 hour haul. We had confirmed reservations for drop-off and storage unit. However, the clerk disappeared when he couldnt find us in the system and some time later a manager appeared. He stated that I had no such reservation for storage or drop-off. There were about ten frustrating minutes of the manager stating (almost taunting) "We don't have your reservation and you SHOULD have the paperwork in hand". I let him know, as a manager, that to blame the person for the FU done by U-haul was in bad taste. When I made a call to corporate U-haul, they found our reservation right away. The manager still refused to process me or even look in the computer during the call. When U-Haul sent over the reservation directly his manner changed instantly. Suddenly I was a paying customer and not a vagabond looking for a free box to crash in. Even so, they were out of the storage unit, a 5x10 space. we had reserved to unload our belongings. So, a 10x10 was finally located and it was 2 times the cost. And the space was down a harrowing tunnel of fluorescence and metal doors that would have been ever so tedious to traverse and painstakingly slow to move items on a small cart down such a long hallway. We decided to put our stuff in a shed and forego any more transactions with u-haul. I would not recommend this U-Haul location bc management is rude and the line was so long. Several customers were told that the trucks or storage that they had reserved were not available due to overbooking and shortage of equipment.

On multiple occasions, the door nearest my storage unit was not unlocked requiring me to go around the long way with fragile items. On the last occurrence, employees could not find time to help due to a long line and I was advised to find another way around. Staff in the office seemed remarkably incapable and all processes took an incredible amount of time to complete.

We got a 2 or 3 bedroom space in storage got to our destination and the 2 and 3 bedroom storages are all up 3 landings not exactly the easy way of moving would have been nice to know before getting my hopes up in Salem Oregon to my over hour journey 3 storages later not fun I ended up going to 3 separate uhaul storage places . Let people know the large storage places are gonna be on 3rd landing right off the bat .Thanks ,Other than that my experience was a good one

There are people smoking drugs and living inside at least two units at this location. You can smell chemical odors when you drive by their open units, that appear never to close, only to get tarped closed. They also jump out and scream at you randomly while visiting your own unit. This went on for 4+ months. I attempted to message you via your website but got cut off multiple times. As a busy person with a business, it took me some time to find another option. But I’m thankful I did. As we were leaving another homeless person with a large full shopping cart was moving into the storage unit down the hall. Our lock looked like it had been tampered with and the unit door looked like it had been bent at the bottom. I’ve always had good service by you folks at other locations. This location is just horrible and needs to be rebought by corporate. The employees are unfriendly and unhelpful. I feel like they owe me for at least half of my rent back, due to negligence. I was paying for my things to be safe and they were not.

General manager let’s people live in there storage units! They are homeless people! When I talked to Ron he was very Rude and not wanting to do anything about it! I was told that he has a lot of Nice homeless people living there!!! The facility is not a home to live in. The whole place is filthy with used needles and garbage all over! I had to move out the next day. I was talked to horrible from Ron. I was also told that I should go look at other storage places they have the same thing going on there! Every time I went there I had to go to the office and report a problem. Mostly talking to Ron. I never felt that my stuff was secure there. Really all I have to say it WAS THEY WORST EXPERIENCE I HAVE EVER HAD WITH A UHAUL! Thank goodness the 3 people I talked to on October 3rd 2020 were very helpful and understanding on what is happening there. Also Ron I did get a refund for a whole month there because of you! I am looking forward to talking to his boss soon and I am not going to hold anything back from him. I will never tell anyone to go to this location because of the general manager there. This past winter, when my mom had to move to a nursing home, we chose this location purely for it's proximity to out home. We were so fortunate. We needed to rent a truck and get storage in a major hurry. The staff were super helpful, and the manager even helped us out with locks, because we didn't have the right ones, or the money to buy them right then. I am impressed with the security of the facility, the ease of access and the professionalism of the staff. I highly recommend this U-haul location for truck rental and for storage.

I had problems often being blocked from my unit by other customers cars. If there is signage to instruct people to park on the right next to the curb every one can get through.
