JEAN GNormally, I would give my experience 4 stars or higher, but as someone who previously managed a U-Haul dealership, I expected better communication and coordination. My original pickup was scheduled at the 1145 Clarkson Ave location. Unfortunately, there was no confirmation regarding the reservation, and upon arrival, I was informed by the employee that the truck was down and unavailable. I then had to contact the scheduling center myself, and they rerouted me to the Flatbush location. Overall, the experience at the Flatbush location went smoothly, except that the truck’s loading ramp was stuck and would not operate properly. We notified the scheduling center as a precaution, and fortunately, we were able to correct the issue ourselves.

Louis RAir conditioning. I was standing in line pouring sweat. Though the lady that helped me was professional, I rented a cargo van and they didn’t have any left. She explained that sometimes people don’t bring them back on time. What is the point in renting a specific vehicle if you can’t supply it. When I arrived there I saw 2 of them being taken by other patrons. I don’t know if I’ll go back there in the future.

AKWASI AThe truck was filthy. The door was left open in the rain so the inside of the door & the driver seat was wet. The seat cover was ripped off, there was a check engine light on & a tire light on. The driver side visor was hanging, the liner was ripped off & hanging. The vehicle actually stalled on me while on my way to return the truck and I soon be calling corporate because why are your trucks not properly maintained

RICKELL DI drove the vehicle on Saturday from pickup location to prospect place and Nostrand Ave, loaded up, then to Ave D and Ralph Ave, Saturday night from Ave D to New lots and Malta Street, parked until Sunday morning, then back to prospect place and Nostrand, then returned to pickup location. That does not even add up to twenty miles, they told me it is 45 miles and charged my card, I got the vehicle with gas meter just below half, I put bak gas just above half, they told me they gave me with more than half and charge my card. I clearly got ripped off. Not ever again.

Debra JThis was not our original pick-up location. We were initially assigned to pick up our vehicle at 1380 Rockaway Parkway. However, when we arrived there, we were informed that they did not have the cargo van we had rented for our event several days prior. First, we were told that our pickup time was on Saturday, April 18th, instead of Friday, April 17th, and they did not have the vehicle available. After producing our booking receipt from U-Haul, they then offered us a 10-foot truck at a higher price. When we agreed to take that option, they informed us that the vehicle needed repairs. The treatment we received was terrible, and we decided that we would never want to use that location again. Fortunately, after contacting U-Haul, we learned that a cargo van was available at 5283 Kings Highway. This saved our day, as we needed the vehicle to transport equipment for our event on Saturday, April 18th.
NEWTON GEverything was great. The attendant/Representative was great and displayed legendary customer service.
