There was a problem with the computer system at the pick-up location resulting in a 2 hour wait. I felt badly for the staff trying their best to serve the customers, and I felt badly for us and all the people waiting at home to help us load the truck.

Truck was very hard to find on the lot. No indication as to where it was. Keys were not in the 24/7 check-in box. Had to wait 1 hour for the store to open. Poor customer service. Gas tank was almost empty when I finally got the truck. Truck was pretty clean. Not perfect. I will not be renting with U-Haul again.

The location really need a clean up, funiture and refresh. The van smell really bad, was dirty and seems to be use for smoking.

45 minutes to one hour waiting time in line on a Sunday morning. The van's floor was dirty to put down our stuff on it. KM not readable inside the van. When I booked the assurance was optional, and on site they said mandatory, confusing. At the end, confusion again, about final price to pay and when and how the real price will be charged, I had to call back to figure it out. Not enough staff that morning.

J’avais une réservation à 13 h et je suis arrivée à l’heure. À mon arrivée, deux employés étaient présents. Pendant que j’attendais debout, l’un d’eux discutait et aidait son collègue avec un problème d’accès à ses dossiers afin de louer un véhicule à deux autres clients déjà sur place. Malgré le fait que j’étais présente et que j’avais une réservation, je n’ai pas été prise en charge immédiatement ni informée du temps d’attente. Cette situation m’a fait sentir ignorée, comme si je n’existais pas ou que je n’étais pas prise au sérieux. Je considère que ce service manquait de professionnalisme et de respect envers le temps du client. Une meilleure organisation et une meilleure communication auraient permis d’éviter cette expérience négative.

the vehicle had opened packets of wet blankets. I hope I am not charged for those, and if you try to I will cancel the charges as fraud. Additionally, I am allergic to smoke, and the truck REEKED of old cigarette smoke. But that was not the worst of it in any way. Also I booked the u-haul for 2 days. I was told during the booking process that an agent would call to confirm the extra time. They called, told me to go to the Pie IX location because they had the availability. cool great. So imagine my surprise when I got a frantic call on Sunday at 11am that I was an hour late to return the truck... that I still had booked for an additional 24 hours. Turns out that the contract that was only presented to me in French, and by an agent that refused to speak to me in English or pass me off to a coworker that could speak English if that was a limitation failed to inform me that the 2 days was not available. So... I was fucked for my entire last day of my move, and what should have been easy took hours longer as I had to STRAP MY PROPERTY TO THE ROOF OF MY CAR JUST TO GET IT DONE. Its great that according to the records that the agent informed me that 2 days was not possible but they DID NOT AND LIED. If they had told me... that even by switching pickup locations I would still not have had the second day available I would have found another company to rent from. But by hiding this information, not informing me of the fact when I picked up the vehicle they caused me huge extra time, and expense. I have used U-Haul many times in the past and I have to date NEVER had this bad of an experience. I now have to deal with the cost of having to take an extra day off work due to the delays this caused, plus extra cost to my previous house so we can take an extra day to move. This was the WORST experience I have had renting any vehicle ever. I will never use that location ever again, and I am very tempted to never trust U-Haul again.

I didn't got what i wanted plus i have to stay 2hours and half before to go, when my handicapp dad go bacl with the traileur and retake the deposit 6$ they make him wait standing despite he was suffering, not even offering him a chair for the waiting time.

The wait time was very long. I initially rented a truck close to my house, it was cancelled which at the end caused me to drive more and waste my time. Globally the experience hasn’t been great.

Gas meter wasn’t what was indicated on the sheet but didn’t ask me to prove it so it was ok. It took 1 hour to drop off.

Before I even picked up my vehicle, Uhaul tried to change my pickup location because they did not have the truck I booked at the location I selected. We decided to take a larger truck at the same price since we had selected a hotel nearby to stay the night before. Location is supposed to open at 7am. Staff arrived at 8:15am. There were 4 of us waiting for our vehicles, outside in the snow, and freezing rain. My pick up was over an hour delayed which made me late for other commitments. At least the staff member was very gracious in trying to speak English, since I do not speak French. My drop off location was changed after I was on the road to a location over 40 minutes from where I live. How was I supposed to get home? So much for having a signed contract! My original drop off location (Leamington-Erie St) said they had no room for my truck, and refused to take possession. Also, claimed they "are not a real Uhaul location".

i reserved the trailer. when i was there to rent it half light was working. i mist my day because they are not unit i h=need to go peek up the stoff i have to go get. when the trailer come back it should be vérify before you rent it again

Le criss de sans dessin qui a mal attacher le trailer sur mon truc qui mange dla marde. Jai perdu le trailer sur henri bourassa parce que ill la jamais barrer sur la boule mais une chance que les chaine etais dessus comme la le trailer a pu me rentrer dans le cul 5 fois. I went in same time for a Curt 56370 custom 4 flat wiring connector and ALL INVENTORY was in the back store (garage). For a walk in customer, those items are not advertised. I have to go by myself and discovered them some hanging on hinges and others in mess-up box and all of them very dirty/dusty. Worst thing is there’s a lot if empty hooks on main in-front floor, that shows an empty store.

The staff are great. I reserved a 4' X 7' trailer to deliver a 42'' X 44'' pallet. I was shown a trailer with clear markings on it displaying 4' X 7' in two areas. As i looked carefully, the trailer seemed narrower than 48''. I asked the staff if it was 48'' wide since i needed to transport a pallet. I was assured that the markings were accurate. I did not have a measuring tape with me. I pinned the trailer and left. I soon realized as I tried to put pallet in that indeed the trailer was 38''. I had to return and exchange the trailer, with an upgrade surcharge. The problem was not the employees at this location but that someone in the Maritimes (where trailer was plated) had made a mistake when installing the dimension stickers.

My issue is not with this location...its what got me here. I had a 7am reservation at the Uhaul on Cremazie mtl. I got to the appointement did the check in and all with my info and they noticed they didnt have a car transporter trailer..... so they scrambled to find me one.... Luckily it was only a small detour but my main issue was I expectèd to leave at the latest 7:45Am from Cremazie and left the the Pie IX location well past 9:15Am. Plus the additional 10min detour and km I had to add on my Uhaul pick up rental. I had a 11h drive to that delayed my entire trip. I rented my truck for 9AM. I arrived at 9AM and had to wait for 45 minutes in line before I could have my truck. Alll the customers in the store were in the same situation. When I droped my truck at the end of the day at the other location in Laplaine, they didin't have the information of the truck in there system. Very poor srrvice.

I was completely misinformed about additional charges for dropping off the truck at different location and was unfairly charged for it. I also received unsupportive, and even rude at times, customer service from main office when I tried calling to follow up!

The location is difficult to get to. I returned the vehicle after hours and the parking lot was so completely full and the entrance so blocked, there almost wasn't any space for me to park/drop off the vehicle. I almost had to leave the vehicle on the sidewalk.

horrible service. i was given a truck parked in an impossibly tight space, with the wrong fuel level indicated on the contract. at multiple times when i required assistance, both picking up and returning the truck, employees were on their private phone. renting a u-haul truck is rarely a pleasant experience, but this time really set a new low.

Service was really slow. Only 1 employee on weekend?! Truck qas due for maintenance for airbag check and tire pressure. Not really happy about my experience.

Trailer was not clean and service was very slow and payed for a 24h rental which they wanted me to bring it back before 6pm. I rented the trailer October 10 2025. At 1:00pm and they asked me to bring it back for 6:00pm the same day. Never again 👎

I reserved a 15-footer, and the same day they told me they couldn't find a 15-footer, so I'd have a 10-footer. I had to make two round trips instead of one, and I had to sell two pieces of furniture that didn't fit in the 10-footer. Very disappointed. No compensation.
