Employees were excellent.
Stacy QThe guy who helped me was friendly and helpful at the end. However, I’m very dissatisfied with the way my entire reservation was handled. The call I received one day prior to pick up the truck informed me that the location did not have a truck available for me. She moved the pick up location from North Hollywood to Burbank. She assured me that the pads I requested were going to be available. The guy at the Burbank location said he did not have the pads for me. After I complained, he explained he had pads, but did not want to give them to customers because people don’t return them. Then he said, I can give you only 3. After complaining some more, he gave me the 6 pads I initially requested. The truck had the check engine light on. He said the truck will not brake down in the middle of the road. He said it was a “sensor.” Also, took the truck to the agreed location in the contract. However, they did not take truck back! U-haul location in a gas station in Campbell. The gas attendant said they do not received trucks back anymore. He called a lady on his cell and put her on speaker. The lady said she worked for U-haul and said to return the truck to another location. I placed a call to U-haul myself because she sound very unprofessional and I did not trust her. The call center gave me a new location to drop the truck off. They did not have the courtesy to call me or shut me an email, in advance, to inform me about the change of location to drop the truck off. Waste of my time and gasoline too! Very dissatisfying experience! They all acted like they were doing a favor to me, when the reservation was paid in FULL.

marco gI noticed a nail in the passenger front tire because it looked low. 3 attempts and I found a gas station that had air. After returning the truck 30 minutes after the shop closed, U-Haul charged me not only another $40, but another $30 for insurance. Had I known or read all the fine print I’m sure I had time to do!!!! I would have kept the truck one more day and hauled more stuff!!! I actually took video of how loud the cab of the truck was on the drivers side. It seems they need to fix the window seal. 2 1/2 hours each way and not even able to use the phone because of how loud the cab was. My passenger gave up trying to hear me…horrible experience. I don’t think it’s necessarily this shop, just quality control sucks!!!
Teresa LThe location is good, but the people working there seem to just get by and do the bare minimum. The process of getting the truck was painfully long, even with a reservation weeks in advance.The truck has seen better days and had a bad knocking or clicking sound in the engine. I’ll be exploring other options before renting from U-Haul again.
Aaron LIt was raining and the truck leaked. Was moved to this location instead of the one we rented from a minute from our home. Caused an additional 50 miles on truck. When I asked if we would be given a discount was told no from your company, Also had ordered a dozen furniture blankets and they had none. Had to buy a few and Saran Wrap. A really disappointing experience overall. Overall cost us more than quoted.
Patricia PThis location was not the problem, other than the UHaul had 1/4 a tank of gas. Which when returned you all made money because its hard to navigate how much gas will keep you from breaking down and not below the return requirement. PREVIOUS uhauls in Sacramento, give you a UHAUL with a Full tank. Makes life easier. I felt bad for the young man - all alone at the Burbank location and there was a large line. He did his best & kept apologizing for the wait. This location clearly is all about cutting corners. AS to "for the next customer" - Your Online reservation and CSR system SUCKS beyond belief. I am referring to the call I got 5min before 5pm the day before my pick up. You need to provide MAPS to these folks. The female CSR was great- I was pissy as ya'll were trying to get me to pick up further south than where we would be loading up and it would have been over 20mins drive-not even factoring in Los Angeles traffic. I explained I was flying into Burbank and neither my son nor I would have a vehicle to go waste time driving about. She found the burbank Uhaul. I was thankful. HOWEVER, this move was already stressful - as I was flying in from out of state to assist my son to move out of hell aka CA after his GF of 9yrs decided to bail and leave him with her mess. MANY moving parts and your people want to play move the location around a few times with me. NEVER again. Piss poor logistic planning. OH and your people sent out a mass text asking if we wanted to earn $650 to tow a full trailer to a location "on our route". I replied "possibly". The guy then changes it to $225 and I ask WHERE. NO joke neither the pick up nor the drop off were on our route. The drop off location was Chico, CA - You take the 99 to get there. The 99 does NOT even touch the 97 to get to La Pine. We used Sacramento as our half way mark to get sleep. Chico would have been 3hrs away. Again - Do your people not have google maps? Seriously.

Arthur P"I've used U-Haul at 924 S. Victory Blvd for 15+ years, and it's always been great. The staff is super friendly, and renting a van is easy. Vans are very clean and reliable. honestly the reason we go to this location are the staff. they are very nice and always smiling no matter how busy they are.

Aramis VCustomer service was apprehensible. The agent upon checking in did not create any customers with the friendly attitude. Agent did not even personally check the vehicles before issuing me a truck. The truck had low air and was not ready upon my arrival for a 2pm appointment. The back up truck was not ready and had unreported damages. Upon turning in the van, the manager (?) refused to acknowledge any issues or errors on his part, and proceeded to do his work, without saying one word to me. No one seem to care except for the one TG agent By far the worst customer service experience I have had in a very long time.
Sundeep VThe truck was old, with a lot of miles and numerous issues. It was hard to drive on the freeway due to the loose steering. The back door is broken and swings open with force, causing a loud bang.

Laura GThis was the second location that I tried. I initially reserved a truck from the neighborhood center at Costless Cars (10860 Burbank Bl) and when I arrived there was no employee present, the entire lot was locked up and no instructions for how to retrieve the keys for the truck. Someone else arrived to drop their rental off and told me that they had been harassed by the employee the day before and recommended that I go to a different location. When I arrived at U-Haul of Burbank, one of the employees (Artemis) was immediately helpful and got me set up with the exact same equipment I had reserved at the other location. Artemis also took time to answer my questions and explained all of the contract requirements thoroughly and I was able to get on the road in time to maintain my moving day schedule. I was about to have a really rough day and truly my experience at U-Haul of Burbank turned it completely around.

DAKA HI ***LOVE*** the new Dodge Ram High Roof Vans! They are the only ones I want! The Chevy vans seem so cheaply built compared to the Ram! This is also the best location to rent from - they know their product and offer great service.

william yThis location has a lot of inventory but very few parking spaces for customers. Service was solid though. Very much appreciate the person that helped us. Our vehicle had low tire pressure notification and our person got us reassigned to a new rental immediately.
kevin wRented for New Year's Eve. Called several days in advance to find out if open and what hours. Was told 7am to 5pm. I reserved online for 8am - 3pm. Arrived shortly before 8am and facility locked. Day laborers in parking lot told me they would be open at 9:00. Wasted time. I got a voicemail shortly after 3pm asking where the vehicle was (ironic given that my schedule was an hour late because facility not open when I was told it would be. There are two different charges on my Visa. I called and was told that one of them ($115.16) was for vehicle and incidentals. OK. The other one ($98.11) was "moving supplies." I got no moving supplies. Now that I think about it, I might have put 12 moving blankets on the Uhaul app reservation, but I can't imagine that would be $98.11 and nobody gave me any moving blankets. I was told I'd have to call another number (866)277-6855 to speak with someone about that. I called that number and after sitting on hold for 3-4 minutes a recording said the hours are 6am-4pm MOUNTAIN TIME (and it was 3:30 Pacific time here), so I guess I will have to remember to call back tomorrow or Monday to straighten out someone's error. Not great service.
