Christopher CThe rating is for Pittsburg -- CONCORD was excellent! But this matter needs attention!!! I had originally booked with Pittsburg (Bliss Road) location and they were HORRIBLE!!!! They closed a lot earlier than they have posted therefore I couldn't get access to my truck. I showed up at 11:40 am and they close at 12 PM on Saturdays. I didn't select self-checkout therefore I was stuck and stranded without any warning that no would be at this location. There were a couple of people before me that were trying to return their trucks claiming they had showed up 20 and 30 mins prior to me and NO ONE WAS THERE. This is poor customer experience and unprofessional to close shop before posted hours of operation. It was a long weekend and apparently every truck was rented, luckily we got the last one, ONLY because someone had just returned it.
Norma GService is horrible! They told me to wait in the trailer pick up spot for someone to hook up my trailer. No one showed up. I went back to the office three times and they kept saying someone will come and no one ever came. Finally, I demanded to have someone come hook up the trailer and then the front desk person came to do it. And was not nice about it. Then later in the day after returning the trailer, I got a call saying I returned the wrong trailer. What does that mean? I only rented one trailer. The person who hooked it up hooked up the wrong trailer. They end up getting it straightened out. But they are a real mess over there!

JAMES SThe location was severely understaffed when I went to pick up the truck I had reserved so I had to wait about 45 minutes to pick up. Even though I had paid in advance for packing blankets, they didn’t have any available and the person who finally helped me didn’t seem to know how to refund that charge. All in all, very disappointing.

ALEX NCharged for 16 fee for no reason when delivered clean with all rented items in trunk. Also filled gas more than what I received. The staff just said park it, we’ll take care of it instead of explaining why I was charged this. Illegals camped in front asking for work.

JESUS CTo U-Haul , I commented on the Condition of the Cargo Van that I RENTED. It was a " pitiful sight ! " When I saw the dirty , muddy , with bird poop on the windows VAN in the U-haul yard . I rented anyway because I needed it at that Time to Use . The VAN inside looked as if the previous USER of the VAN spilled a box of " Tide detergent " on the Rubber Floor mat . I washed the Van at a CHARITY CAR Wash , and cleaned up the mess inside . ALL 4 Tires on the Cargo Van were dangerously low ( Left front 35 PSI , RF 45 PSI , Both back tires were at : 50 PSI ; That's 30 under PSI ) SO I filled -up the TIRES ! THese Actions all took EXTRA time and COST MONEY . I' M REQUESTING A REFUND OF SOME TYPE for these Actions that I performed , being the fact that in most CASES the RENTER doesn't have to CLEAN UP THE VEHICAL to THAT EXTENT !! U-HAUL SHOULD REIMBURSE ME SOME OF THE MONEY BACK . Michael Tuohey / 620 N. 2nd. Street /. Dixon , CA 95620. EQUIPMENT : BE 2955L. Rental Date: 8-1-2025. MATTHEW PSome confusion over the telephone between your two Concord CA locations. The larger yard on Monument opens at 7, but pickup trucks are on Detroit which opens at 10. Operator answers both location, but represents them as the same. Methinks Detroit is struggling. Monument staff good.
DAVID HAll of the male staff members are not friendly or welcoming at all. On multiple occasions, my family members and I have experienced it. One was constantly on his cell phone and neither person was able to smile and say hello. I will be taking my business to Penske next time.
NATHAN RJust make sure you confirm reservations, parts availability with a person. Don’t depend on automated systems to work well. Staff there was friendly, efficient, and helpful. Thanks!
Paul KMy experience was fast, easy and convenient. Employees were friendly and professional. Assistant manager was onsite and was working along with everyone else, not sitting back and doing nothing. Employees were assembling orders, trucks were leaving and arriving... very busy place. Good to see a thriving business.

Charles Dlocation where i picked up my truck did not please me so i showed up to the drop of location in concord california with slightly not in the mood after moving but once i was approached by gentleman name Brodee he changed my whole mood he's a very welcoming guy and to find out he the manager i see why everyone one that was there seems as they wanted to be there and i couldn't do nothing but match they energy they all put out thank you Brodee and his staff i'll be back next time and will definitely tell my family and friends to come enjoy you guys great service

RICHARD HI’ve been to a few other U-Haul locations before, and honestly they don’t compare most of them just aren’t great. This one is hands down the best. The people who work here are always super friendly which makes everything way easier. The trucks are clean and ready to go. Brodee the manager deserves a shoutout he’s awesome at what he does !! He’s patient, explains things clearly, and you can tell he really knows his stuff. he actually cares about helping people out. Brodee makes the whole process smooth and stress free. He honestly really goes above and beyond . This location sets the bar high. This is my go to when I need to rent a uhual truck. Keep up the good work guys ! Thank you.

OLEKSANDR PThe female front desk told us to wait when it was our turn, and basicly left us at the front desk. A line grew and another employee started helping other customers while we waited for our original front desk person showed up (she didn't). That other employee then started helping us after assisting 2 other customers who were behind us (which is fine since he wanted to fet the line moving). I was also in this location the day prior for another separate reservation I had booked well in advanced for 11am Saturday for a moto trailer. I showed up and the employee dead face looked at me and said "it's not here. It will be here at 3pm." What? So I canceled and had to figure out another solution. There was no notification my rez ahead of time that it wouldn't be ready or anything and the employee just didn't give a fuck. This place is entirely mismanaged and some of the employees show not even the slightest shred of empathy for an inconvenienced customer. The one who actually helped me today did well handling a shitty situation but I had TWO DAYS IN A LITERAL ROW of shit customer service frkm 2 different employees.

Michael MTook me almost an hour to get my rental, because the workers were slow, not knowing their job and obviously didn't care about their job. Then they charge me 3 extra gallons of gas, after I returned the vehicle with the right amount of gas. Horrible experience.

They did not check the mileage As you know, there is $1.19 cost per mile. Could you please refund the difference of the amount Please when you get customer make sure to get customer satisfaction to the highest level

DANIEL CTruck was not washed, windshield and outside of vehicle was not clean. Inside was good and the vehicle performed well on the road.
DAVID FI have rented from this location twice. Staff members do not have efficient processes in place to inspect the previous day's vehicles and then rent them out in the morning. Both times I have rented here, there are two to three staff members running around as individuals rather than as a team. It seems like each of them are attempting to reinvent the wheel individually. There should be far more management involvement, especially in the training of every team member. Staff members should also be held to higher standards of customer service and professionalism, including refraining from using curse words.
JOHN WIt took about 15 minutes to get my reserved 20’ truck. There were 10-12 trucks that didn’t get checked in from the night before. This location need better management
ALAN CTrailer wasnt there as the previous customer did not return it on time. However the management made it work and I got another trailer and was able to get my daughter moved to 300 miles away for college.
PETER MVery unprofessional. Didn’t have the equipment I had ordered and confirmed that I would receive. The truck was filthy and had less than a third of a tank of gas. They sold me a lock that didn’t fit the truck for the back door I had to go to a different U-Haul than what I originally ordered online and I also had to go to another U-Haul and rent dollies and a handtruck because they didn’t have any after I had ordered them at this location.
