Rented 5x8 trailer brought back same day and received email next day I was charged for 2 days. The person who un hooked trailer was talking to a girl on speaker of cell phone not concentrating on his job. I asked do I need to go inside he said no your good. I called after e mail was told he didn’t check trailer in. They did refund but your working do your job not talk to women on phone.

it was a minor concern, but picking up the truck on a Sunday morning in Fairfield, California meant I had to find and call the agent who arrived a half hour late which got myself and my volunteer movers off schedule. Because I had already passed the qualifications and payment process waiting around to be handed a key seemed like a process bottleneck. This makes me wonder if there’s a way to Automate the key retrieval process?(like using a coded lock box with some other online identity verification. )

Two ladies working there couldn't be bothered to put their phones down or stop chatting with each other long enough to correctly tell me where to park the trailer. It took me asking and walking several times to them to get the trailer dropped off. No one else in the place either.

Van really needed a bath. Also, I was charged for extra 2 gallons of gas at 13:00 but I had driven 36 miles and put in $17.00 + in gas at $4,09 per gallon. I looked and saw it was above what I took it out at. I called U-Haul within 30 minutes and they said it was already rented out and they could not go back and check. I have rented 3 times in the last month and there has been three issues. I will no longer wait for an email. I will ask for a receipt after they check it in so I can have them correct immediately. All the Staff are great and 2 of the 3 were corrected very fast to my satisfaction. I am waiting on this last issue, the gas.

Bait and switch. I was told it was 3/8 of a tank. I drove it 42 miles and put $16 worth of gas. It was 4 gallons of gas. I imagine the thing gets 10 miles per gallon. When I completed filling it It was definitely past a quarter, but they marked it as only a quarter and charged me an additional $36 filling fee even though the check out woman said it was all good. They can say whatever they want cause it’s not a full tank.

Train your younger cashiers not to walk away and tell the customer i will be back and after 30 to 45 minutes come back.but by then i got service from someone else. My other request please clean van and fill up window wiper fluid. Thank you

Person at the counter was very nice! When I picked up the van, two employees were in it just laughing it up. They walked away and took the key. After returning, one stood outside of the car of the other, pretty much blocking the exit. They still didn’t move after seeing me but waived me around. When I got to where I was moving from, I found out none of the equipment I rented was in the van. On line chat didn’t help and I needed to get moving. Ended up getting hurt in the process due to not having the equipment. Definitely would not recommend location.

Give Broddie, the manager, a raise! Oh, and his whole staff, too, who were PROS even tho the whole online UHaul system was down and customers backed up. With a smile and so much patience, this crew kept it together and made all the customers happy!

There was one guy working his tail off. I think his name was De. No one else was there and the computer was off line. The U-haul app SUCKS. I tried over 10 times to get my truck. Finally worked. The truck assigned has the caution engine and tire pressure on, but I was already 2 hours late. Don't get me wrong, every employee I have worked with has been polite and helpful. I really think the issue is systemic and would blame the owner.

Make sure the attendant is giving the customer the attention. The young lady that was helping me answered a call on her cell phone while helping me and spoke in spanish. Never said sorry or excuse me. I felt marginalized and unimportant. She was not very friendly either.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I salute anyone who deals with the type of customers that come to rent from U-Haul! Renting from this location has been such an amazing experience. The staff here provide great customer service no matter how they’re being treated — and from what I’ve witnessed on my two visits, that’s not always easy. I was offered the self-rental option, but my phone was about to die. They even offered me a charger while I waited — truly above and beyond. Most of the customers I saw were treated kindly and fairly, and the team stayed professional and smiling the whole time, even when dealing with a few bad apples. Special thanks to Monica and Nataly for their help you two were awesome! I’ll definitely be coming back here for my next rental. And I would’ve mentioned the manager too… but he’s a 49ers fan (inside joke 🤣).

Auto transport was covered in oil. Straps to hold vehicle freyed. Hooked the trailer up only to find basic 4 wire trailer harness nonwhere to bw found. Waited 30 min to be told they didnt have anymore. Service rep had to pull one out of her own car. Over all wasted time and transport was bareltly safe if it was at all.

When she was cracked with our vehicle and there was no blankets or straps in the back there was debris everywhere and we found cigarette butts on the seat. I believe now we’re being charged for Windshield is already cracked. We picked up our U-Haul in the first place I also notified them in person before I left that there was a crack in the Windshield she said that’s fine we already know about it. But still I’m being charged for it??? That’s messed up to say the least .

The five stars is not necessarily for the U-Haul but a particular employee who assisted us. I rent from the U-Haul Concord location several times a year, and to be honest, the experience has almost always been underwhelming. The employees are generally not friendly — sometimes rude, condescending, or simply ignore you while you’re standing there waiting for assistance. Most of the time it feels like they don’t want to be there or do their job. You learn to deal with it because you need the truck and dont have the time to worry about bad employees. However, this time around was very different. My wife and I rented on Friday, October 10th, and we were assisted by an employee named Brodee (I believe he’s the Manager). From the minute we walked in, the experience stood out. He greeted us with a smile, asked how he could help, and made the entire rental process smooth and quick — from completing the contract to handing us the truck keys. Later, when I returned the truck a day early, the system had automatically charged me for an extra full day because I was just a few minutes past the return time. I mentioned this to Brodee, and he immediately took care of it without any hassle. This was by far the best experience we’ve ever had at this location. Brodee should be the standard, not the exception. He didn’t do anything extraordinary — he was simply polite, pleasant, and professional — but that alone made a huge difference. It doesn’t cost anything to treat customers with respect and courtesy, and the other employees at this location could learn a lot from him. Thank you, Brodee, for showing what good customer service should look like. I am hopeful that I get to deal with you whenever I need to rent from this location.

When I arrived to pick up the truck, the . UHaul App would not open. I went inside waited in line for 10 minutes and was on my way within 20 minutes. I wish they had a few more Guest Parking spaces. They were all full and I had to park in the Ross lot across the street. I would have preferred to park at Uhaul which I felt was more secure.

The service is always slow and there is always and issue with the renting. This time the truck did not start and it took a long time for them to get a replacement set up, something about the new truck not being checked in. I was there over an hour between the wait for the first truck and wait for the second.
