Colleen EThe local U-Haul location on Grand River in Farmington Hills is fantastic. They have clearly marked parking spots and a good flow to drive the trucks to the streeet and to return the trucks. The staff is super friendly and helpful. I will certainly rent from this location in the next few months for additional moving needs.
MATTHEW CNew cars and truck are complicated. I wish the agent could have spared 5 minutes to show me how to turn the rear camera on. Yes I could have gone back in the building, chased him down, been told "just a minute' and eventually gotten somebody to walk back out to show me. But that would have taken another 15 minutes to get somebody back out here to show me out YOUR equipment works. I opted not to do that because I know if I'd showed up 15 minutes late the computer would have charged me for another day and humans couldn't fix it. . And yeah, I really did need that camera. . Everything else was great.

Paul CI would recommend they have the location where you are to drop off trailers better marked (its in the back). Had to guess on where to drop it off. Would be easier if you had a pull through area for drop off as opposed to backing it in. Not a big issue but I don’t back in a trailer, except make every 1-2 year so it took 2-3 attempts to get it parked perfectly.

Aleta Tthis was an out of state move. the uhaul boxes where supposed to be picked up and dropped off the next day. I was called a day before pick up and told that the boxes cant be delivered "internationaly" and that the truck wouldnt be able to cross the state border. i then was given the option to hire a 3rd party to make that next day delivery happen. In the end uhaul delivered the boxes the following week. but only after me, the customer, had to call , and call, and call to make sure emploies where doing what they said they would. Overall my move did happen and the boxes where delivered.... but only after me being a full time project manager and making sure things where happening.
Brian DI scheduled my after hour pick I was suppose to pick up the truck at 8 am when I logged on to the app it said that my equipment was not scheduled. That set me back an hour behind. My business lost money because of that. I was told I was going to be compensated I received no credit nothing. I am requesting a call back

Stephen FWhen I arrived to pick up vehicle there was a decent line as the computers were running slow. Apparently there was maintenance being done on the system. However, all employees at the counter were very courteous and apologetic for the inconvenience. They handled things as best they could.

I made them aware (although this should not be my responsibility to check), she said she would change the mileage to make sure I did not get charged for more miles. I called the location back to confirm it had been changed and she forgot to change it so it was still set at the wrong number of miles. The whole process, my whole experience was very unprofessional. I would not recommend this location or go with Uhaul again after this experience.

Only issue was that the App would not let me complete my info until the day/time my reservation went live, so I was unable to finish the information input, causing a little more time during pick up. Staff was helpful and friendly!

Denise WThe front bumper was loose on pickup, the mileage incorrect and fuel lower than noted on the paperwork. On drop off, the charges on the final paperwork showed $440, while the actual charges on my account not pending showed up as $653. The employa LaShata, rolled her eyes several times before continuously restating “you were charged $440 sir.” In a monotone robotic tone, before rudely picking up a phone call mid conversation. After which, I proceeded to calmly explain the confusion, to which her reply was to tell me to get out of the store, threaten to call the police, then actually hit the panic button under the desk in an effort to create something out of a simple check on the overcharge. Ridiculous, rageful employee who cannot control her emotions. Was no where to be found at the location for 8 minutes upon arrival at 8:30 AM. Insanity.
ILYA MWhere do I start, this was a nightmare experience from start to finish. I reserved from this location originally and was called 2 days before my pickup to switch to a different location down the road. On the day of pickup I arrived at the new location I was given and the location was closed, when trying to pickup via the app it told me I was in the wrong location. I called support and they had to go through multiple steps to change the location, though this was the location I was given by the UHaul scheduling department. Once the location was changed I unlocked the lockbox to find NO KEY to the truck I was being given. I had to then have my location switched AGAIN back to the original location that I requested in the first place. Once I arrived there i was told all I would have to do is go in and get the key since all check-in was completed online, I went inside to no greeting and had to wait for the one person working to complete a phone call before picking up the keys. Once I was given the keys I was told nothing about picking up or dropping it back off, just handed the keys. At drop off the location was closed and there was not clear information on where to put the truck for after hours drop off, only signs to ‘park and return keys’. The lack of communication and preparation for a company this large is absolutely astounding. I was told I will be receiving the $50 ‘equipment guarantee’ refund but I didn’t even get a confirmation on that so I am hoping that is not just one more empty promise.

Chuck PI haven’t received my $100 off of my rental agreement. I couldn’t bring the trailer to my drop off location because your company didn’t find one. After saying I’d get my discount anyway once I returned the equipment, I instead was given $50 dollars off. This cost me a days pay(waiting on a trailer that never arrived), and your company acted in bad faith. Still waiting my discount. SMH.

WESLEY WAfter I picked up my trailer. I noticed one of the 4 tires was flat. I was on a schedule and did not have time to return to U-Haul. Fortunately, I have my own compressor and was able to fill the tire and use the trailer. I will check more closely the next time I rent.
