The guy at the counter checking me out was rude and I didn’t understand anything he was saying. He needs proper english lessons. It was an awful experience and I would never recommend anyone going there. Ever!

The wait time to approach the desk was unsatisfactory. There were multiple people in line. When we were instructed to use the app, the siutation went down hill significantly. I gave all info over the phone & the app still wanted us to jump thru hoops to finallize. The process took entirely too long. We had 1 rental in person & a 2nd rental a week later & tried to use the app. Drop off would not allow us to use the app for the drop box. We had no other choice but to go in and hand the keys to the worker in the building... which, my husband said, was going to cost us $20. Ridiculous.

When I picked up the trailer at the Farmington location, the right turn signal and brake light were not illuminating. The rental agent used a testing instrument and told me it was a "Fuse Issue" with my vehicle. He then further told me I could take the trailer with the inoperable brake light and turn signal, or he would give me a refund and not take the trailer. He actually shouted at me and further informed me that he did not have time to deal with this problem. I chose to take the trailer. When I arrived in Kalamazoo, I found another UHaul dealership that diagnosed the problem as being a defective wire on the trailer. The Kalamazoo location made the wiring repair to the trailer; the right-side light illuminated and was fully functional and in good working order. The Kalamazoo location was kind, considerate, and timely in making this repair. Moving forward, I will avoid doing business with the Farmington location and will make that recommendation to anyone I come in contact with who is considering doing business with that location. I will highly recommend the Kalamazoo location, where I was treated with much more respect.

The manager is outstanding! We were having a challenge with a staff person (female) who lacked any customer service skill set. She was very unfriendly and disrespectful. But the 1 thing she did right was took my advise and called the manager who in fact was on his day off but took time to correct the issue with the employee and advised me that providing excellent customer service is his goal and we were happy with his Customer care. He even involved 2 other gentleman who were good as well. So I would recommend the site because the manager is good not the assistant manager!

The Equipment was so old(179,000 miles on it) and store associates are dishonest/cheaters.They intentionally processed my returns 3 hours after I turned in the key, so that they can charge one extra day. Truck’s drive was so uncomfortable and wobbly that it felt dangerous to drive on highway. When i passed on the same feedback to store guys, they didn’t care much. Will never go back to this store or may be even to Uhaul.

Ashley took care of me when I picked up the trailer. Her smile was amazing and she was so unbelievably nice and professional. She is a badass and I am nominating her for employee of the month for Uhaul. That Sunday had been stressful for me but Ashley was by far the best part of it. If her management team reads this, buy her lunch…for a month.

This equipment needs to be serviced. The truck I rented had several problems- the transmission sounded like it was slipping and wouldn’t accelerate at times, the service tire monitor system light stayed on the entire time, and a windshield wiper broke during the rain while driving. This rental was not safe to drive and should have never been sent out.

The trailker was rented with the understanding that there were tiedown rails on both sides. The one side had no rails to attach to and the other side had two rails but one was broken. Thisw made it nearly impossible to secure my load. This was a very dissapointing experience. When I turned the trailer in at the Cornelius location, they were very friendly and suggested I lodge a comnplaint with UHAUL and that they were unable to adjust my bill but UHAUL Customer Service could look at this.

Rented a 6x12 trailer that was cleaned and maintained. Good selection packing material . Only concern I had was no trailer tongue lift jack to raise up to the truck trailer ball. There no way physical way to lift the tongue off the truck hitch or ground when fully loaded. Even empty curb weight was difficult. I had to carry a small hydraulic jack with me. It’s a small cost to add for the customer convenience

"Abysmal customer service and completely disorganized operations. Pickup: Arrived for a 10 AM reservation to an empty store. A note instructed me to use a walkie-talkie that barely worked. When a staff member finally wandered in, I expressed frustration about the wait. Instead of assisting me or apologizing for the absence, she spent the interaction repeatedly calling me 'rude.' I was frustrated not rude. Train your people. Drop-off: I waited at a sign explicitly stating 'Wait here and someone will be with you.' Eventually, an employee came out only to tell me I was supposed to go inside. Update your signage and train your staff. I will never rent from this location again."

The lady i returned the U-Haul too was super rude, the first time i went in the lady at the desk was yelling at another customer and had to bring the manager out. Multiple people with reservations couldn’t hear their trucks. Absolutely terrible staff and service.

The service staff saved my day! The movers (through uhal canceled) but he reached out and got some help for me. A true Godsend- couldn't be more greatful! He went above and beyond - i believe he is the manager i didnt get his name in the midst of my ordeal.

The woman that initially was at the counter does not know the law, was rude and made a racist comment about black and white. She was black and I am white. I will NEVER go to this location again. The only reason I gave 2 stars is because the older gentleman that did the return when we came back with the van was very professional and polite. I reserved a van. I had to request a duplicate drivers license due to mine being damaged. I took my passport, my passport ID card and the documentation that clearly states I have a valid drivers license. I checked with the State of Michigan prior to my arrival and they said it's as legitimate as the actual card you get and just bring my passport with me for the photo. She wouldn't even look at it. I was there helping a friend move down the street and paid for the rental.

This location is excellent. HOWEVER, UHaul scheduling is HORRIBLE. They called me the night before the move the next morning to say the truck was not available and that I had to drive 40 miles away to pick another truck. The agent was a real Karen and was snippy, callous, and someone who desperately does not need to be in customer service. UHaul overbooks and tries to make the customer absorb their lack of performance. I WILL NOT go to UHaul in the future if absolutely possible and always understand they probably won't deliver.

The truck was in good working order, but I was disappointed by two things, 1) the truck had no rear view camera 2) the truck did not have cruise control. Your direct competitor Penske provides those very helpful features on equivalent trucks.

The trucks front end was very loose and out of alignment. The brakes were very slow. The exterior was dented, faded decals, and rims were rusted. The truck had over 168K miles and should not be on the road. The most frustrating part was being given this van when two much newer, nicer options were available in the next pickup lane. Very disappointing that the local team didn’t set me up with the newer safer choice.

You advertise $20 for a 4 hour truck, yet I paid $70. That’s misleading and particularly horrible in today’s economy. I even filled the gas tank higher than it was when I picked it up, and got charged $11 more dollars for returning it 10 minutes late. Gross!! I want some money back.

This drop off location was nice and had a lot of space. However, I don't believe they have proper signage for equipment drop off. I was in the lot where all the U-Hauls were however I had to go around through a check-in point where I was told I could just leave the keys in the door. I think it would have made more sense if I just let them know I was dropping it off and handed them the keys, considering it was during business hours. But they were very nice either way
