Cora BI was given a 4x6 on reservation and then when I showed up they said they only had a 6x8 that's a big price difference but it was kind of a , take it or leave it"attitude!! 🧐 Kind of off - putting but when your exhausted from moving sometimes it's just too much energy you already don't have to buck the system. Nice one uhaul

ATHEN SBe more transparent with the extra insurance offered. The truck we rented was a new one which we did not request. While unloading a piece of heavy equipment there was very small tear to the plastic piece of the bed of the truck. They said this will not be covered by extended insurance purchase. No where in that document did it state that the bed of truck is not covered. So we’re were charged Ana extra $300 for one day rental. Just be aware of what the extra insurance covers. Not much.

John BWhen calling the local number to speak to someone local, out of 5-6 attempts every single time my call was routed to central U-haul. It got a bit frustrating, but even central u-haul was able to help.
Glen MI had called to rent an appliance dolly a few days prior to needing it and I was told I would have one. When I arrived to get it I was told they told me they didn’t have a reservation for me. The only appliance dolly the store had didn’t come with the strap it needs so I had to buy one. I used the dolly and returned it within a few hours. I wanted for a half hour to to return the strap I had to buy due to the broken dolly and ended up leaving because I couldn’t wait any longer. Prior to leaving, I gave the dolly to one of the employees. Fast forward to almost three weeks later and I get a call asking where the dolly was. I informed the person that I had returned it the same day. This shows that there is no accountability in the store, they don’t maintenance their stuff, the employees don’t complete reservations when they say they do, and finally they wait three weeks to locate their equipment that has already been returned.

Dave Ayou could give repeat or return customers some perks. you could give existing customers a discount on truck rentals and in store purchases. you could also stop being jerks to your customers. you could do a lot better than you do.

Muhammad KCargo van was dirty both inside and out. This did not however hamper the vehicle’s performance, it ran well had great A/C and did what we needed to do. Dennis was excellent very efficient and was apologetic to us that the vehicle was not washed or prepared for the next driver. We will be needing a Cargo Van soon again and we will gladly return to this YC location. We have always rented here and always had good luck 🍀 Thanks to UHaul see you next time!

Freddy DThe store opens at 7:00 a.m. I was there immediately after opening. I was inside the open store alone for 17 minutes before I went out to the yard to have the yard person help me. While inside, I tried multiple times to make noise and look around to get anyone's attention. I heard a voice behind the West door (with a peep hole) and a woman was behind a door either talking on the phone or with another worker the entire time I was there. At the location, multiple calls from customers were unanswered during my wait (As I was also one of the people calling to see if I can get a hold of anyone) and the store was left unattended. This is the worst experience I had with counter staff and as a general manager, I would be alarmed that my business is staffed with incompetent employees that do not follow posted hours nor a customer service attitude when they come to work. If the person behind the door is a manager or owner, maybe it is time to reevaluate your customer service mentality when it comes to owning/controlling a customer based business. If I was less than honest, I could have cleaned out the store and cost the business a lot of loss product. The yard person was very nice, cordial, and when alerted no person was inside, stopped what he was doing to assist. He is the only person I have confidence in at this location.

rich VTurning in the rental truck as EQUIPMENT was a little confusing, but I went with that energy. Signs were clear where to return rental equipment, before I was able to follow instructions on the U-Haul App a bright smiling young person showed up at my window to help me bypass the app return.

Stacy FThe truck was dirty. The engine ran with a strange metallic rattle. The tow command automatically turned on (I have never seen that). The transmission felt like it was slipping a bit. When I pulled the ramp out on the back, it was covered with shattered glass. I have never rented a truck in this poor condition and have never had to get gas before I could even start on my mission. Low, Low, score.

Prateek JI used the app to get a reservation 1 week before I needed the truck even did online check in, day of, arrived and was told they overbooked the truck, I was a bit frustrated and asked them to give me the larger truck available at the same price as the smaller one. They made it right ,but if your going to take reservations you need to honor them.

DAVID SMy first time using UHAUL for a military PPM, but I think it’s kind of crazy to charge for mileage over a certain amount. Most car rental companies don’t even do that. Not sure why you can’t just leave it at charging per day and that’s it. Overall experience was great, just being charged $20 for mileage doesn’t make much sense especially since you can’t predict road closures or any kind of diversions that might happen.
