Dash lights out, couldn't see gas gage, speedometer, etc. Truck pick up associate seemed a bit lazy or maybe not liking his job. Can't leave keys for after hours drop off, was very inconvenient and a waste of gas and my time to have to return the next day again just to turn in the keys. Truck drop off attendant was very friendly, and seemed concerned about making me wait though. Thank you U Haul.Robin W.

I had problems with the Spanaway location.the They had poor customer service And told me wrong information about renting vrenting vehicles with an out of state license. The management and staff at the location on 12th street street they were professional helpful courteous and kit's all courteous and kind. I would recommend this location again and I and I rent often and will use this location solely.. Give them a thumbs up for meJessica S.

This location is outstanding compared to other U-Haul branches in my area. The others are under staffed or have trouble fulfilling my rental reservations on rental day. This is the second time I had to go to this location to bail out another U-Haul branch. Alison (sp?) was especially courteous and cheerful. Neither the A/C or fan worked in the vehicle. When I asked the agent about it she insisted it was working and that she could feel the air. Essentially just gave me a shoulder shrug. The vehicle was filthy on the outside and dirty on the inside. Don't get me started on the check-in process on the app. Horrible! Kept making me redo the same process repeatedly then giving an error saying â€œno network connectionâ€. The agents working were basically doing there best to avoid someone asking them a question. We showed up 15 min prior to our reservation for our 26' uhaul truck and didn't receive a truck until the next day. They ended up crediting us $150 and giving us a free dolly and blankets.. but it threw a wrench in our plans! I Had a reservation in Graham Wa. I was told at the last minute we had to drive 35 minutes in the opposite direction to pick up the truck because someone had vandalized the trucks in Graham. I understand but thought Uhaul should have brought the truck to a location closer to me. Fuel is pricey these days and my time is not free. The employees in the store were great no issues by the way. The window of my vehicle was broken by a vehicle prowler while I was inside the store at 1 in the afternoon. The vehicle smelled like fentanyl and the cabin was sticky. Key box was missing when I attempted to return vehicle. This was not the location I originally selected because I have had issues before with vehicle quality and issues checking in/out. Definitely will not come back to this location. Please get security for your lot.Penelope S.

I have been a customer of Uhaul since the late 90s. Based on my most recent experience, unless changes are made, I will not use Uhaul and nor will I recommend this company to anyone. I completed the online form and received a quote of $122.00 based on availability of cargo van and anticipated miles to be driven (online system indicated decrease in milege due to driving 120 miles). I attempted to call 12th Street location in Tacoma to verify availability and was promted the wait would be 15 minutes. I am a 5 minute drive from the location. I immediately drove there and one cargo van and 1 8' pick up truck was in the lot. James and Nick indicated the cargo van was not available. James called another location and they indicated they too did not have one. He checked the system and it showed one available. He called back and they indicated the key was lost so they couldn't rent it out. I asked if they would honor the mileage rate for the 8' pickup truck. Nick immediately responded, "No way." I asked why the online system would falsely advertise a vehicle being available? Nick explained, "Look, you're dealing with a 16 year old system that's a piece of shit and the company won't fix it." I went ahead with the transaction of the pickup truck due to already having made arrangements with two separate item pickup locations for my job based on, what I would later learn to be false representation, online availability indication. I went to the lot and what James rented was a 10' truck. I returned to the store to inquire on the miscommunication and James indicated the 8' truck was not available due to vandalism and the new vehicle not having stickers. After returning the vehicle the next day, I was presented with a bill more than double what I anticipated paying. Please honor your iitial rental representation and make the appropriate corrections to financial charges. Thank you.Adrienne I.

The personnel in charge of coordinating pick up and drop off locations for the Tacoma region did not do well at all. The DuPont/Olympia region did a much better job in comparison. It was like night and day, but the people at the Tacoma store specifically were polite, professional, and helpful. My overall experience between the two truck rentals was completely different though. One was simple and easy and the other required me to make countless phone calls and do all of the coordinating myself. The entire crew of maybe 5-6 different people I interacted with on the DuPont side should be training people because they do their job well. I wish I could say the same for the Tacoma side.Skyler S.
