Two days prior to this van pickup I had the smoothest and quick walk-in. However, on this walk-in, to place the same exact van order, I walked into a busy shop, a long line, and 1 staff member working the store..... who ended up getting my order incorrect. I have full insurance coverage, and I made it clear to the staff ringing me up, that I did NOT need the $25 daily insurance coverage.... well, he placed it on there anyway. Also, the fuel box wasn't engaging - I could not put gas in the van.

Two people had to wait for office staff to check out. An agent said there was a long line to check the trailer back in. He said to leave it in one of us the spaces. I did get a return receipt OK.

Probably the easiest, best U-Haul experience I've ever had. The person who helped me was super nice. I was in and out very quickly. Equipment worked without a problem. Very, very good experience.

When we arrived we parked where there was space then some worker had the audacity to yell at us as we were walking in and tell us that we need to park in guest parking, i told him wheres that and he pointed to the back and when i said there are no signs he just threw his arms up in the air like he didn't give a shit. I was given a truck that I had to take back immediately because the check engine light was on and then the next day after returning the second truck I looked on my bank account and I was charged over $50 foe some reason and I wasn't even notified! I even left it with twice as much gas than I picked it up with and brought it back early! This has been a very upsetting and disappointing experience!

My pick up time was 10am. I had to wait in line for one hour before even checking in. Then they didn't have what I ordered. It was a shorter trailer without the back ramp. They did say that the previous renters had not returned the trailer yet so maybe it wasn't thier fault. The good news is they did not charge for the original order.

We waited 15 mins before a non uniformed man came in and used the bathroom for 20 mins. He then came out and it was the u haul guy!!! There was a line of four people. No acknowledgement or hey I will use the bathroom and be right with you. Super rude. Didn’t have the dolly we reserved. Had the computer screen visible with all contact / credit card info in plain sight. Super unprofessional. Total jerk. Would never reccomend the guy needs to be fired. Said he was the manager no way

First off, the person who I checked in with in the morning was clearly hating his job. No smile, no greeting; he just seemed like he didn’t want to be there. Second, he did not tell me that the van I was renting had only half of a full tank. And l when I ended up filling the tank, I spent over $170 on gas. And then, when I returned the van, I asked for some sort of refund for having spent all that money on filling the tank…and I only got $70. The other thing I noticed was that there was nobody on staff to help direct drivers as to where they should park the rental; to the point where U-Haul vans and trucks were starting to impact the traffic. Overall, this was the worst rental experience I have ever had: I literally paid so much money for not even a 24 hour rental. And the employees at this location are absolutely the worst! I’ve I’d give U-Haul a NPS score it would be disastrous! I will never rent from U-Haul again! Even if you would reimburse my gas bill! Good luck…

Fix the app so it's not buggy. I hate the fact that you guys push the app and it's really annoying to work with it's a huge waste of time and effort most of the time. I tried to upload a picture that I took this morning to the app when I was returning the truck I couldn't do that I had to be taking a picture of whatever I wanted to look at at the time in I should have the option to upload the picture I already took. We had an issue where the truck that we got was on empty and my wife and I both do not recall anyone telling us that we should only fill the truck up to quarter full since that was the only the amount that we would be reimbursed we filled it up because we were not told otherwise and the contract doesn't spell it out either it talks about the current level of the truck well the truck was on empty so that really doesn't apply anyway I have to say that Daniel Macias was great he gave us full credit for the fuel that we bought and we tried to be careful with it but we had to stop it and more expensive place as we were headed to the best place for the price of gas so it all worked out but it's hard to cover all the bases for all these corner cases I know.

Trailer was not clean/ swept when we picked it up. The two knuckleheads that worked there could hardly be bothered to help - pretty much ignored us for the first 10 minutes we were waiting in the lobby - no acknowledgement, no “We’ll be right with you.” When hooking up the trailer, the safety chains were basically just thrown on the back of the car and then the attendant said, “There you go.” and walked away. We looked at each other realizing he couldn’t be bothered to check the lights or perform any other basic safety checks before we left.

I had ordered van with 10 furniture pads and hand truck. When I arrived van was "ready" with no pads or hand truck. I was given the pads, and a dolly which attendant found laying around. He told he would not charge the dolly, but it was charged anyway. Also tank was completely empty and return process was a mess.

Having one person work the counter and go out to the vehicles is not efficient. There was a line of people waiting to rent. I was next in line but had to wait over 45 minutes before I was serviced. This happens every time I rent from this location. Some of the employees are in the back parking lot on their phones and not doing anything. When I ask them to help me they ignored me and walked away. There are some lazy entitled employees at this location. The person that helped me was working hard while the other employees were doing nothing. I blame management for this level of service. Or should I say lack of management.

customer service was terrible. First they were out of tv box I needed. Then I reserved a dolly, and the guy said " oh we are out" How can you be out of something I reserved. Plus I had reserved a 15ft truck and I guess none where available in all of San Jose Ca. They left me a voicemail saying my reservation was moved to a location 45 minutes away. That is something you need to talk to someone about instead of making the decision to think I am going to drive 45 min to get it and 45 min back to where I live. So I had to take a 10 ft truck and no dolly, No compensation of any kind was offered to me for this huge inconvenience

The last impression was the return process, which was quick and easy. The pickup process was much more difficult; first I could not find anyone working there, next, they would not take the new DMV electronic drivers licence, next, the exit was blocked by double parkers and I had to back the monster out the other exit; and last the vehicle had only 3 miles of gas in the tank, I pay per mile, and I have to drive out of my way to get gas because I can't want for something along my route, that is not acceptable.

The location in Clovis was very open and inviting in the country, and that is expected to fit the area and I loved that location also. The curtner uhaul was very clean and inviting.

Had to go to 2 different locations from my original reservation location. I was notified of the first change in pick up location but was not notified of the second. When I got to the third location, they did not have the 2 hand carts I had reserved. Inspection app to check out the truck was not working. Staff's only help was - Oh, it doesn't work sometimes, just take your own pictures. He made no attempt to step out to truck with me and try to make app work on my phone.

It was busy when we arrived, and at first it appeared that only one person was working. After about 10 minutes, another employee showed up and assisted. The associate at the counter was not welcoming or friendly. He was also passive agressive when we returned the rental. The location is close and has what we need when we need to rent.

The U-Haul smell like cigarette smoke. The lock in the back was broke when I picked it up and also the gas cap wasn’t on when I picked it up. Also, there’s a lot of people in the mornings. I believe you need more employees to help out. There was a long line thank God I did my mobile app other than that location and I never had a problem with U-Haul. Thank you.

This was my first visit to this location. The cargo van pickup was not troublesome, but the drop-off had a 45-minute wait with no one at any of the counters. There were about 10 of us waiting for someone to come. At first, a gentleman was on the phone, but he suddenly left without saying anything. Unfortunately, my phone was at Verizon for service, so I could not do a self-checkout.

I received the truck with boxes of trash in it. I was driving to dump trash load and a pvc pipe from under the ignition area broke and was preventing me from stepping on brake. Near rolled into another vehicle. I swept out back of truck and cleared out my trash, plus the trash that was left in there, and was charged a cleaning fee for "Garbage Scent". I have done dump loads in uhaul trucks from this location tons of times and have never been charged a cleaning fee. The manager took no acknowledgment to my safety or me going out of my way to remove someone else's trash. I am very dissatisfied and will never go here again!

ive been a repeat Moto trailer renter at this location. they always have a trailer available and staff are fairly quick and responsive. the only delays are busy periods of the month from movers wanting to rent (first and end of month usually). I would like to see a dedicated staff at the office to keep the line flowing as most staff do double duty in the yard and in office and there are times when no one is available at the desk. so please staff haul locations more!
