Upon arriving there, the person that helped me was helpful and friendly. But when he signed me off, I was charged 2 additional days despite being told that I wasn't going to. Unfortunately I signed off because I thought that I wasn't going to be charged. Upon informing him of the issue he told me to check with the person inside. Upon talking to someone sitting down in the front (male) he seemed angry and was pretty rude. I just asked him about the issue. When I called uhaul about the issue, he spoke pretty rudely to the person on the other line about it and said that the manager would be the one that could override it. Besides the communication issue as well as the rude staff, it was an okay experience.Ivan M.
The pickup phase was nice and easy but when I dropped the truck off the guy there tried to blame me for the dent in the corner of the truck that I never noticed but I know 100% I did not bump into anything. He said I should be careful to take better pictures of it so I will definitely inspect the truck very well next time.KELLI O.

Everyone at the location was helpful except for one rude personnel named Jonathan. I tried to ask for a print out of the receipt and he said I had to wait. He then turned around, closed the door and walked off. I tried to ask him a few minutes later if he could help and he told me that I was rude and a co-worker had also said the same thing and told me that it wasn't his job to do that. He then said I should look around for someone that could help me... Was extermely rude and unhelpful.Lisa C.
As always, I'm left disappointed and frustrated with Uhaul. After months of battling with them (really battling with myself since no one would answer my calls, emails, chats until I got Public Relations involved for a 2nd time and utilized BBB), I finally received my 3 Uboxes and placed them in storage at Del Monte. The Del Monte location was accommodating with no concerns there. Then, we find an apartment and schedule delivery of the Uboxes, easy peasy. NOPE. I get a call from Alfredo at Del Monte (he's great, no complaints about him or the location, just Uhaul) and find out they can't deliver my Uboxes to the apartment due to 1) they advertise pallet truck delivery but can't actually do it; Santa Cruz can do pallet truck delivery but they have no availability; 3) a 2-unit trailer can't fit a 3-point-turn in the parking lot; 4) they don't have enough staff to do 3 1-unit trailers. Alfredo was great though, he talked me through the options, he explained why street parking wouldn't work (which would have been a painful walk to move a 4-bedroom house anyways), he had researched alternate options before calling (using a neighboring parking lot - didn't work because there's a fence and locked gates between us and them) and using a box truck to load at Uhaul, and unload at home (there's 1 17-foot truck available, so we need two trips and only have 2 days to do it cause it's booked for Saturday). We went with the 17-foot truck but so frustrated with Uhaul because the ONLY REASON WE USED UHAUL WAS SO THAT WE COULD USE THE UBOXES AND ONLY PACK ONCE AND UNPACK ONCE! (Pods was our first choice and they couldn't deliver to our prior addresss.) Why does customer service offer pallet truck delivery if the Del Monte location can't fulfill it? And btw, there are signs IN the Del Monte location that indicate they have pallet truck delivery options- remove the sign if you can't fulfill the request! Now I'm 7 months pregnant having to load and unload a moving truck because, yet again, Ubox can't keep their end of the deal. And paying for Movers with Ubox was FIVE times the cost of Ubox delivery (10x the cost of using the truck). A cost that is already so high because of a cross-country move with 3 Uboxes (1 of which they lost for weeks). In summary, Alfredo is great. Del Monte location was (mostly) great, the skip-the-line pick-up method was a joke that left us back in line twice to get assistance from someone who clearly wasn't happy to assist. (To be fair, we were frustrated already but c'mon, how often does Uhaul deal with happy customers? The staff member did not make us any less frustrated.) We saw Alfredo again as we walked out and he was friendly again and helped us drop off the truck quickly upon our return the next day. Back to the summary, Uhaul and Ubox has been a major disappointment.TREVOR F.

Salome was an excellent and extremely helpful driver and she went above and beyond to help me get things sorted! For military moves though, a weight ticket is necessary to get reimbursed for expenses. None of the U-Haul sites in monterey California or Augusta Georgia were set up to provide weight tickets. Salome was helpful and drove across the scales to get me a full weight and an empty weight, but to better facilitate military move support, adding some process to provide those tickets will allow military moves to use your services more.matthew P.

I wish I could have had verification at the drop-off site of the total charged to my credit card. Instead, the representative said â€œnothing more charged.â€ That makes it necessary for me to take the step of finding the charge in my credit card record. It works just be easier for me.ANNE P.

App issues! I called the 800 number & was told there was a twenty minute call. I Had to go to the store to book trailer. The store is very busy but there is and has been the issue of lack of personnel. That said, I received fast & very friendly servicePaul Y.

Appreciate being taken in earlier to get the install done sooner. The install was quick and seemed like all was great until they left the driver side mud flap off. They were decent enough to give it back plus a couple extra fasteners. I would recommend this location, but would need to have a walk around before leaving.Daniel B.

The uhaul boxes first came in a hitch trailer which didn't have a way to lock it. This was the only thing that worried us at first since someone could've just drove in with a big truck and hitch it on easily and drive away. When it got to dallas, it wasn't on a hitch trailer so it was okay.Darwin F.

U-haul (not the location) charged me twice as much as you were supposed to - after I had called in to arrange a slightly later drop off time and been assured by phone that there would be no extra charge. Also, your online drop off system did not work, despite spending 15 minutes going through it 3 times. I like the location, but u-haul dropped the ball and I am very unhappy.Melynda S.

I called 2 days before my scheduled time to confirm the installation. I showed up at the scheduled time and was told the hitch had not arrived. After receiving no information as to when the installation could be done, I called back the next day and supposedly they can do the installation in another week but they are still unsure if the hitch will arrive.kei H.

While I was grateful for all the help the personnel gave me to find me a truck after the one I had reserved was not onsite, I believe they rushed a truck into service without a proper inspection, which led to a very dangerous situation since there was a faulty fuel line which spilled gas all over every time I had to fill the tank. This truck should have never been released.GREGG T.

When I finally got a truck it had a leaking fuel line causing gas to spill all over whenever I attempted to fill it with gas.
