Outstanding customer service!!!! I was able to leave my keys to my BMW at the front desk my son arrived later in the afternoon and drive my car so I wouldn’t have to return. When I returned the truck I left my sunglasses in the truck they called immediately and ensured they were returned. Extremely professional team!

I am sorry to say that I do not remember the gentlemans name who helped me at the counter, becaause he was excellant, very polite ,very efficent, and very helpful. was a pleasure working with him. He is a tall slinder guy with facial hair wit a tattoo on his hand.I think he said he was from Santa Cruz. Anyhow I am in the hospitaity ind. and he was most helpful and curtious.Appreciated!

The Monterey U-Haul Center Manager, Alfredo Madrigal - is an excellent example and role model of customer service, professional comportment, compassion, understanding and support. Through both major experiences (5 U-Box containers and then a 26' Uhaul and car dolly) for everything to make it across three states in a timely, safely and cost effective manner - he was my "go-to-guy". Clone Alfredo and never look back because he is Mr. Uhaul!!!

Teach the staff the importance of treating each customer with respect. Don't refuse a person who arrives at 5:00 pm to return a vehicle, and then charge them a $20.00 after hour return fee. Fix your website so that one can easily check in prior to picking up the vehicle, and make it easy to return the vehicle online when done. There are several major glitches in the website which need to fixed. Don't charge fees for after hour drop off's, unless it is beyond the 24 hr. contract time to return the vehicle. The Manager, Alfred, was helpful, but one of his employees, Rodrigo, needs a lot of training in customer service. The woman who took the reservation in the first place was very helpful and pleasant. Cecil Hooks was also helpful, within the constraints of his job (not being allowed to check in a vehicle at 5:00 pm). He was also very professional; in fact, he could teach a class on customer service. I was going to give a poor, 1 star rating, but then I realized that 3 out of 4 people with whom I had dealings there were helpful; so, I raised my rating to 2 stars, below average. This negative rating is exclusively because of this one individual, Rodrigo, who turned this simple transaction into a frustrating mess.

BEWARE: TAKE PICTURES OF ODOMETER, AS IT SEEMS EMPLOYEES WILL RECORD FALSE ODOMETER STATEMENTS TO INFLATE CHARGES! This happened to me last week, and am not getting a response from the store.

1. Show me how to reliably adjust the side rear view mirrors properly - it would have saved a lot of experimentation time. Better would be to have electrically operated mirror adjustments from the driver's seat. 2. The "requirement" for having a smart phone to return the equipment after hours, is just not correct for those of us who choose to not have smart phones. It seems like if you are renting the equipment for 24 hours (a day) and you return the equipment to a facility that has after hours return and thus have to leave the key in a secure box, that the miles and the amount of fuel left in the equipment is not going to change after you leave the equipment parked at the facility AND that the staff at the facility the next morning should be able to fill in the miles you drove and whether the fuel tank has less than what you rented the vehicle with initially. The woman clerk who I spoke (at the uhaul main phone number that I was directed to when the local facility did not pick up) with to return the vehicle helped me immensely and spent lots of time checking with her supervisor to find a workaround for my return and that was helpful from her and from uhaul who she works with, however the two of us spent quite a bit of time with the process and it seems like a clerk at the return facility could have performed this in less time the next morning. I was not able to return this equipment to the uhaul local facility by the time it has closed for the day ( I had planned to return the equipment before the facility had closed for the day when I initially rented). I will still rent from uhaul, however it seems like a few changes would be beneficial for me.

It was a good experience. Trailer was Externally very dirty But did not effect the move and it towed nicely. One of the tires went low a couple of times over the course of the rental and needed air. Still, it was an overall good experience.

Rent a truck in Salinas and confirmed. Then the truck is not available . Drive to Monterey with extra expenses with mileage and gas. So inconvenient .

Employee Erika Sanchez helped me rent a small trailer. Upon finishing with a customer she promptly called me up to her computer terminal. She quickly and efficiently assisted me with my reservation. When the computer froze, she immediately shifted me to another terminal, logged in, and completed the reservation. This was done without missing a beat. Erika showed impeccable customer service which was impressive coming on the heels of the holiday season. Bravo Zulu!

We were misinformed about the drop off location. The form stated Dixon but they couldn't process the trailer, so we had to drive to Vacaville. The lady was nice but we wish we had been told that Dixon wasn't a drop off location.

Not on this trip but on a previous one with a truck several months ago, I left a speaker in the car and 10 minutes out I remembered it. I called and told them to hold it for me as I was turning around to come back and get it. They said there was no speaker in the car and they found nothing. Total lie. I now will drop of cars but if I can, I’ll use a different location when possible. I still use U-Haul and have for decades but that left a sour taste.

They told me they were open until 7pm, so I came to pick up the truck later that day. At 6:30 I arrived to find they had closed at 5 on Sunday despite them assuring me 7 a mere few hours before.

Just Know I placed my order online and it told me I could pick up at a location that does not carry much trucks nor do they carry anything over 17'. So my location and time changed on my the last minute. If the system would have know that I would not have picked that location.

Poor promises made and then unfulfilled until pressured. Finally received my UBox today 8/24 from 7/28. Repeatedly charged for service not received. The managers finally got billing and box to me.
