Can't say it was clean neither can I say it was too dirty, it was okay.

The truck was not clean inside or outside. The outside hadn’t even been washed from the last driver. Dead bugs covered the whole front of the vehicle. The passenger mirror was not staying in place which made using it impossible. The left tail lights and turn signal didn’t work. When I asked about the cleaning they said that this is the best they could do and they don’t wash the outside. When I asked about returning the truck early because I wouldn’t need it for the four days, they said there’s no refund.

Very disorganized, They lost the key to the truck after I returned it on time and then charged me a day extra because they lost the key. Then they refused to answer my calls because they kept putting me on hold. I will refuse to go there next time due to how they treated this situation.

This location is completely understaffed. My reservation was for 2:00 p.m. Saturday afternoon I got there at 1:45 p.m. I did not leave with my trailer until almost 3:20 p.m. they had one person at the desk one person working out in the parking lot. The trailer I received after driving two blocks to a different storage lot had bare wires on the wiring harness the inside of the trailer was dirty when I got home I had to completely sweep it out and clean it so that I could put my items in it for transport. When I returned the trailer the next day I made sure that it was clean and ready to go they told me to wait in the parking lot for someone to check it in. I waited in the parking lot for almost 40 minutes. I went inside to find the only two people working sitting behind the desk just chit-chatting about whatever. I asked them why nobody came out to help check the trailer end like I requested and they said they forgot that I was out there. I will never rent from U-Haul again.

Everyone i worked with at the Metcalf location was great and it made my move much easier then I anticipated. They answered all my questions with professionalism and were all very courteous. I thank you all for allowing my move to be less stressful and will recommend you all to family and friends.

My experience was very good at the location on Metcalf Ave. I pre registered online, uploaded my drivers license and checked off the additional supplies I needed. When I picked up the truck key at the counter it was quick and easy. When I returned the truck after hours it was pretty straightforward. My only complaint would be that the key drop off was not clearly defined so I slipped the key into a mailslot on the side door as did another customer who was returning their truck. Overall it was a good experience.

It was not busy so I did not have the typical wait and the customer service was top notch. This location is typically understaffed and the employees work very hard to deal with each customer but the wait is usually long. Did not have that this time so all went well. The gas tank was not correct with my paperwork and they fixed it immediately.

Provide some signage on where the returns are to be left. It was a confused mess of returns left at odd angles. No employees in sight as I went through the painstaking, time consuming process of photographing all the different areas of the unit. When I maneuvered around the jam and parked my unit in the obvious rental unit parking lot, someone immediately appeared to point out my error. Not a fee good experience overall.

I was robbed of $75 dollars by U-Haul policy. They don’t reimburse you if you fill up the tank for them. I will be actively encouraging my friends to never use U-Haul due to their deceptive business practices

Did not have the equipment that I rented out in advance because they let others rent them out. This included furniture dollys which were essential to my move. I booked a 20 ft truck because of the amount of large furniture I needed to move. I wasn’t able to get nearly any done because I didn’t have the dolly’s I RESERVED in advance. I feel like I got completely ripped off. Not to mention, the person working the front desk seemed very confused the entire time. It took nearly 30 mins to get us a truck assigned because they nearly over booked that too. There was no guidance or instruction on getting to our rented truck. This is a very poorly ran establishment. I will not be returning. Would love some money back tho since I couldn’t even get done what I needed to due to the company over booking dollys.

Very busy when we pulled in to drop off the trailer. Kiera, I think that is her name (petite gal with long brown hair) was fantastic. She had the lot pretty much under control, adeptly multi-tasking to try and keep things moving. As I said, it was extremely busy! She has some mad trailer parking skills and then single-handedly unhitched it and had us on our way. Highly recommend and every U-haul location could use someone like her!

I have rented equipment from Uhaul before . I have to say this store here in Overland Park was one of the best stores that I have done business with! All the people I encountered there were very professional. The equipment was in great condition. The last trailer I rented from Uhaul when I went to p/u once again was sent to different location . The trailer had a flat tire and the employee that took care of the paperwork was the worst encounter I have had . I mentioned it to another Uhaul employee they gave me a number to call to report this incident. I had to talk to 4 people … spent a lot of time on phone. Did all that after repeatedly was told I would be compensated for the kind of service I had received . Never heard a word or no follow up calls! The one where I usually pick up equipment didn’t have the size of trailer I needed. So I was sent to another Uhaul store.

The location for pickup was switched. So, the location did not have the blankets nor the paper for requested for packing. The staff worked quickly and made sure I had no questions. The guy who brought my truck up ensured it was cool and easy.

Great experience with this location! The staff was friendly and super helpful. They spent the time needed to make sure that I was happy and understood the unique sounds you hear when pulling an empty trailer. Great Job Metcalf store team! My only complaint is with the automated phone system. The automated call flow could be improved so that you can actually get through to the office. Multiple times I chose Option 3 (Existing Contract) and was stuck in a loop that everytime went back to the main menu. Also, don't let the call flow hang up on callers. One time I thought I was getting thru but the system told me everyone was busy, good-bye.

When asked how long to rent I said within 24hr. So they put me at a 6hr rental but made no mention of it. Kid put in bare minimum effort to rent the truck to me, not tell me the return time, and the store doesn't have a sign saying where the key drop off is so me and several others were confused when we did drop off. But thank god I checked my paperwork to see what time I was to take it in the next day to find out I had 30min to get it to uhaul. Plus their site/app wasn't working for me and a few others in the lot. Also a "$20" rental cost me $70 for 6hr.... (not including gas but I knew that was on me)

I hate surveys - before you asked me to put time and effort into giving you data, I was happy - I'd flip all the reviews to negatives to slight the company for this gay-ass review stuff but the workers were all great and I don't want it to reflect on them.

The experience was less than acceptable. One person was trying to run the whole place when I came in a half an hour early of my appointment. She was trying her best to do everything but one person cannot do that. Then a second person came in to help and yes, that did help, but it was still not near enough people to help the people that were wanting to rent vehicles. Several people were very very verbal in their disappointment of the lack of customer service being done trying to get a vehicle. It was explained to us to save time we could get online and use the app. Well that didn’t work either. It was useless. In fact, while I was trying to use the app, someone from UHaul called to help me finish it and then hung up on me when it didn’t work. So that was exceptional. I’m not sure that I’ll use the Metcalf location again. It was just such a horrible experience. I’ve used it before and always had good service but without any help you can’t get help. I think you need to fix that before you get a good review from me.

I had an extremely positive experience arriving on a Saturday at the end of shift ~7pm. Josh Martinez provided excellent service and even stayed late with me to make sure I was able to make returns and get proper documentation. Mr. Martinez should be commended for that type of customer service, which—in my experience—is becoming more and more rare. I wanted to pass along my good experience so that he would receive recognition for this encounter. Thanks.

The truck I drove had its windshield taped on. Also the passenger side sideview mirror broken and at such an angle that I could not see cars or anything really approaching or on the passenger side.

The rental truck was good, with the only exception that passenger seat was dirty with some food stains that I had to clean myself. What was not good was return experience. Coming back at 6pm on Saturday, I found parking lot in front of the office cluttered with rental equipment seemingly abandoned in the middle of the lot, making it nearly impossible to make a turn into the lot from the main street. After I barely managed to squeeze in past some trailers just sitting in the middle of the lot, I found two employees inside the office just chilling. It felt like they didn’t care about all the mayhem outside.

Probably close to half an hour to pick up my truck. Unfortunately, this is still better than most of u-haul locations.

uhaul moves my belongings from Maine to Kansas. Uhaul was very pleasant to work with and I was very pleased with their service.
