When we got the trailer home it had large leak in the back tire on the left (drivers) side. We were on well travelled roads to get home and really feel it was there when we picked it up. Once we got the car on the trailer it was easy to see the tire was low. We had to stop at a tire shop on our trip to get the tire plugged.EDWARD G.

This Uhaul location is often empty. I think at some times there is only one person on staff, which is fine, but they have responsibilities that take them out of the store such as cleaning and moving rentals. Perhaps there should be a bell or phone system so they know there's someone waiting in the store because I often find myself waiting around by the register. If I'm just buying supplies, this is an inconvenience I can with but when renting a car, it really eats into my rental time.Sarah B.

Could not get through to customer service by phone (the national 1800 number on your website) - several times. No one from Uhaul called me to tell me the Box arrived at N Lamar (it was probably not prompted by your automated system). I had to call proactively and show up at the location to find out it arrived early and was available for unloading. No one took initiative and notes on the job were not communicated that I did not need/want a trailer for the UBox. I wanted to pickup and unload at the Uhaul location. The service at the end location was great - the overall system wasn't very seamless. Just hire more CSR's to take customer calls!Dennis G.

Two days, two UHaul reservations, two separate but equally crappy experiences. I reserved for a 7pm pickup. Showed up at 7:05pm to find out the location closes at 7 and the smart-a$$ GM who was still there tried to make it sound like it was my fault that y'all allowed pickup when the location is closed but then subsequently disabled mobile dispatch. I received an email that my pick up window was 24 hours and then arrived to learn it was only 1 hour and my van was no longer available, also the contactless pick up didn't work at this location but I had received a lot of emails on instructions for that type of pick up. The local team helped me figure it out, but Uhaul really needs to work on their emails and coordination with local branches so incorrect information isn't spread.KATHRYN T.

The movers (who we hired through you) canceled last minute, without any notice, and we were left to move our entire apartment within 24 hours because the UHAUL was not available the next day. We were completely exhausted at the end, and barely finished in time. We ended up having to inconvenience our family and get their help to finish in time. It was extremely important that I receive the hand truck I rented through the initial online registration. They forgot to put the furniture pads and the hand truck in the van when I picked it up, so I dad to return, at which time they refused to provide a hand truck. This necessitated my going to three retail stores to find an affordable hand truck, which was contractually my right from UHaul. You breached the contract, not me. If I had time right now, I would be filing a claim against you in small claims court. The staff members on duty when I picked up the truck were overbearing, rude, and argumentative, which led to heated words on both sides. I have to move again before the end of this summer and will definitely be trying to use one of your competitors. Pro: the truck was serviceable Cons: literally everything elseSylvia E.

Human elements (people at the stores, people you talk to on the phone) are amazing. Web/app/phone 1-800-go-haul IVR is a god damn nightmare. I did a reservation for one place, told me there wasn't any inventory, confirmed a reservation for a different place (verified with an email with the address of the place), I show up at the place, had to wait 25 minutes on the phone for someone to tell me that my reservation was at the first place. Fix your web/app backend. Or just rip it out and put up a web page that says "just show up to the store". Summary: store location is great. They did nothing wrong and was probably the fastest, most accurate service I've ever had. They deserve raises. U-haul.com & 1-800-go-u-uhaul call flow: fix your shit or gtfo.CONRAD M.

This is no reflection on the people at the location I used. They were polite, capable, and helpful. I would rate them 5 out of 5.. My complaints are with corporate, you know, the people with the homes in the Hamptons. The location was obviously understaffed, as is your phone assistance. I was on hold on your central phone center for no less than 10 minutes twice before giving up. The trailer was fine; corporate is obviously rusted and broken down.FREDERICK P.

U-Haul locations are generally "short staffed". This means that one usually has to wait for service. The employees at this location are very knowledgeable and service oriented and do a great job. There are just too few of them working at any one time.Richard K.
