Staff were just OK, but upon check in during open hours, I was told to leave the keys. I wanted a receipt, so I got a bit of attitude about that.

WILLIAM WWhen we went in to pick up the trailer, the two women working seemed more focused on their conversation than on helping us. When we went to load the trailer ourselves, since they would not get up off their chairs. The trailer had been parked, so when it was loaded, it hooked onto the trailer beside it. So we had to pull the trailer off our truck and move them around by hand to get them untangled. Reload it. They had us drive up and they checked that everything worked, and we left. Need to greet customers when they walk in the door especially if you are not busy. Stay off personal phone and have customer service skills. Get off your butt and go help the client load up the trailer.

Kiana DI called to confirm that our truck would have a ramp and it did not. It made loading and unloading our washer and dryer incredibly difficult. I wish that had been correctly answered and when I called. The team onsite was amazing with checking the truck out and back in. But the absence of the ramp was very frustrating.

Todd HOnly real problem was returning the truck. I upload everything and I get a page that says please wait while we update our records, and it stayed like. Never told me the process was complete. I stayed at the facility waiting for a long time for the app to complete the process. Judging by the receipt I got in the morning, it happened, but the app kept telling me it wasn't done with my vehicle return.
Jeremiah WIma be real- everything as far as service goes. Was generally smooth. Th WiFi went down when I arrived but I can’t fault service for faulty electronics. However, I was misgendered while there and the word “re-***d” was casually used to refer to the WiFi and honestly it was odd that even the manager didn’t say anything. I know we all come from different backgrounds but that was weird and offensive/lacked cultural knowledge and inappropriate quite frankly. So while it was easy I think there needs to be a training on ethics.

Nancy Rit was nothing they did. It's your scheduling department I had a trailer booked four weeks in advance and they called me the week before and told me it wasn't available. Then when I went to pick up my truck the app would not let me rent it. The woman had to do everything manually. That's a bunch of garbage your app is trash and you basically made me have to fly somebody in to drive my truck instead of honoring the reservation for my trailer hauler that I had made four weeks prior.
Kevin IThey didn’t secure our car onto the trailer properly. Our trailer got a flat tire, so somebody from a third party service came out to fix it and told us that the car had been put on incorrectly. They didn’t hook up the chains and the wheel straps were very loose.

BRUCE BI purchased 2 dozen moving pads, and I was handed two sealed bags of pads, which I assumed contained 12 pads each. Unfortunately, they contained only 6 pads each, meaning I was shorted 12 pads. This means not only did I not get what I paid for, but I was also charged an additional $100 for the missing pads I was never given.

Crendal BIt would be nice if there was a simple way to drop off rental truck w/out using the app as it gives away location to hackers and snoopers and was clear as mud (diff ways to get to return option on site/by scanning). Some older ppl who have been moving all day might find it irritating.
Thomas MCustomer service was very nice over the phone because return data does not load by phone no. solely and/or issues with location svcs using the app. If go late at pm there is hardly any parking and it's possible to get stuck w/a truck over night if have issues with phone or have to park in the neighborhood which would be unsafe for Uhaul.
THOMAS MI booked my reservation 3 weeks early and when I arrived they did not have a vehicle for me. I had to go to another location farther away to secure a truck of the size I needed. Original booking was with U-Haul location downtown Austin around 38th street on I35 access road. They were terrible and did not have what I planned for.

DAVID BThey didn't have the dolly that I reserved when I showed up, so probably doubled the amount of trips to load and unload. Then the ramp was stuck and wouldn't deploy, and we had to wait an hour for roadside assistance to get there. Another hour for him to try to fix it, only to realize that he needed a part that he didn't have. Wait another hour, and a half for him to go back and get the part, return in another 45 minutes to return it. I had a crew that I was paying $80 an hour. I planned on this being a three- to four-hour move, but it ended up being a ten-hour move, between waiting around for the ramp to be fixed before we could leave or load anything heavy onto the truck, and the additional amount of time it took to load and unload. I would imagine it should be standard practice for U-Haul to inspect its equipment before it sends it out with a renter. I would imagine checking that the ramp works would be a key part of that inspection process. This is clearly not done. If it had been done, I probably would have had a working truck. As a result, I could say probably about four hours of the time I'd spent, and the movers were waiting for the ramp to be fixed, which was completely avoidable. When I called to discuss what U-Haul could do to try to make this right, I was transferred three times and then told that I had to call back on Monday to talk to the manager.

THOMAS NThe person who was helping us while we were renting the truck was talking on the phone with a friend the entire interaction and was highly unprofessional. The conversation they were having was not appropriate and she had her phone on speaker so we could hear the entire conversation and it was just not good service. When we returned the truck, there were two people working and they acted bothered when we interrupted the conversation they were having. They also made us take the rental equipment out of the truck, and we had to place it with the others ourselves. Overall, this location had poor service and I would never recommend someone here.

The price to rent the truck is for a 24 hour period, yet if you say "hey i think i can have it back in 12 hours", yet you bring it back at the 12 hour and 15 minute mark, yall charge the customers double. thats ridiculous. the price is for 24 hours. if moving (which is tough and stressful) goes slightly longer than expected, yet yall still have the truck back the same day, yall should not be double charging people. that is unreasonable and unfair to the customers.
