Not a lot. I had signed-up for self-pick-up (at a time that just happened to be right at the location's closing time) and upon arrival staff were extremely helpful, actually checking me out in-person.

The online check in app was utterly useless. Kept getting stuck and failed to properly scan my ID. Ended up just going to the front desk. Fortunately, everyone who worked here was excellent.

Person at the counter was pleasant, knowledgeable and thorough. I'm not complaining too much about the line but I hadn't anticipated the wait. All else went well. Thank you.

However, I do have some complaints regarding the website; I tried to use it for this reservation, and found it clunky and confusing. In the end,I just drove the short distance to the “store” and reserved in-person. Everything was smooth sailing after that.

Kelsey CI want to start by saying the employees were doing their best, and very friendly. Overall, they were very competent, and this is not about them. My frustration is that I showed up for my pickup, then had to wait in a line for 45 minutes, and then was given a truck with the gas light on. I have worked in customer service, I am not here to complain about the wait in line, because all they could really do was work through the line one by one if a bunch of people show up at once. But if I am already going to be late because of said line, I would appreciate it if I did not need to stop for gas on the way to even make it to my destination without running out. U-Haul should really not be renting out trucks with less than half a tank. It seems extremely lazy, especially since they charge an outrageous premium for any gas you do not put in the truck after use. I would understand if the gas was charged at a premium because you now have to pay an employee to take the truck to a gas station to get it filled up, but U-Haul is seemingly just pocketing this money, and rolling the problem downhill onto the next customer... So thanks
Ethan JI can't think of anything. We've used U-Haul several times in various cities over the past few years. Our experience at this particular branch was the best we've ever had in terms of speed, courtesy, etc. A really well-run shop.
James Hearly morning pick up and the wrong key was left in the lockbox. After calling the 800 number a suitable truck was found but it did not have the dolly i needed. Trucks transmission was on it's last leg. Upon return staff was very friendly and accomdating and adjusted my bill.

John PI was very happy with the cleanliness and excellent working condition of the equipment I rented. I chose the Powell Boulevard location over others because it was better rated. And the check-out service, check-in after hours and easy maneuvering on the lot, and on to Powell Boulevard are all reason for me to add my 5 star rating also. I would recommend this location to anyone who needs a truck rental in the greater Portland area.
Art KReserved a truck in advance, overall process was smooth and quick, truck handled well. I was even able to return the truck a day early and get a bit of my money back. Only thing that could make the truck even more useful is if it had some sort of backup camera or rear view camera installed. Other than that, service at this Uhaul was great! I also hired moving labor through UHaul, which helped the moving process immensely, did not cost too much, and the movers were clearly professionals.

Harriet BAs usual I went to this reliable location for all my moving needs. I parked the 15 foot truck at the storage place where I was going to load my belongings into the truck. Once loaded, I turned tried to start the truck, but the engine would turn but not turn on. I switched from the Parked position to the Neutral position and the engine turned over no problem. Within seconds the check engine light came on. I panicked at the thought of having to unload the truck and getting a new one. I called the location and explained my situation, they seemed to be aware that that vehicle "always has" the check engine light on and that it should not impact the vehicle's performance. I was reassured and in fact that was the case. I would only recommend that either 1) the code gets cleared and/or 2) alert the next renter to disregard that warning. I will happily keep using U-Haul however, I really did not need that level of excitement for those 20 minutes. Thank-you.

Cristian CI hired a mover who was denied service upon arriving at your location by Cory. When I arrived, Cory was cold and dismissive but let me proceed with the rental. Im not sure what his issue was with the mover, extremely nice guy. But regardless, Cory made this very challenging and delayed my move by more than an hour.
Caitlyn MFriendly staff, super easy return, clean and well-maintained truck. The pick-up experience could improve. The Uhaul app and QR code for self pick up were confusing and I was unable to go through the steps while I was waiting. I added my license, payment info, etc and then it never fully checked me in and then returned to a screen where it was asking me to enter the info all over again. In the end, it was better to wait to be assisted, though it was a bit of a wait with a lot of other customers. I also struggled with taking photos of the vehicle beforehand since the truck was in a location where I couldn’t get enough room/distance to get a photo that would be accepted. Overall the experience was good though and the staff made the difference!

I wish I remembered the name of the woman who helped us (whoever was working Wednesday 7/29 at check-in and return from 5:30-7) but she was absolutely fantastic and went above and beyond to a more sure we had a positive experience, particularly after a disappointing haul (to no fault of ubaul, just things going wrong with what we were moving)

WILLIAM MThis location was very close to our former home, so we had used them before. The staff is always friendly, competent and busy. No matter how busy they are their level of service is extraordinary. This location was the only location to have the equipment and vehicles we wanted. No other location in this neighborhood did, so we took a $25.00 cab ride to pick up the truck and to return it. Hopefully we will never move again (except to a mortuary), but if we do, we know where to go!
