This location seemed short staffed and extra stressed. The line to check in and get my truck delayed my rental over a full hour. The truck was not prepared with the dolly and blankets that I paid for - I would like a refund for those items. I tried using the self checkin on my phone. Once I located the truck I still had to go back inside and wait in line to get the key. Most everyone else in line was in the same position - they had tried self checkin and still had to wait to get the key. My interactions with the staff were good, they were as helpful as they could be given the circumstances.Geoffrey B.

The staff at the location were very unorganized and it took almost an hour to get my trailer rented. Staff griped about previous customers in front of everyone else. I had to get my own trailer light pig tail off of another trailer and hook up the trailer myself while the staff member just talked to me and told me what I should be doing. U-haul was very unorganized. They would not let me grab my container and made me drive 3 times there until I was able to get my stuff back. I had already paid and still could t get my stuff. The 16 days deadline turn into a month. Had to live with none of my clothes and had to pay extra charges to spectrum because I couldn't get my equipment from the container. Hi to whom it may concern, I am following up on this email. There is a police report of a stolen U-Haul. I had called in because I thought the equipment I had rented had been stolen. Austin Police Case Number: 22191479. On the report, I informed the office that UHaul had mistakenly repo'd the trailer I had rented due to a false claim the trailer was abandoned. I also informed the police of a minor fender bender the trailer was involved in. (no damage to the trailer or persons) I would like for someone from UHaul services to contact me to support my case. I am put in a very bad situation as I was unable to return the trailer to the original destination and my contract was breached due to Austin UHaul picking up my trailer without ever contacting me directly via phone or email to discuss the matters. The Austin Uhaul Dispatch would not let me pick up the trailer or attempt to resolve the false reportings of the abandoned trailer or 'unresponsive' comment from Tina (the person who called in about the fender bender). Please let me know the next steps, but I was not treated correctly in this instance from UHaul dispatch and would like to escalate the matter to the appropriate authorities within Uhaul. I have already escalated it with the Austin Police Department. I was incorrectly charged $2,259. Thank you in advance for your assistance. I look forward to hearing from you. This is the worst experience I have had with u-haul. I will be filing a complaint with the ADA and state of TEXAS. I had a reservation for three months and even stopped by to check on my reservation. NOT a one time was it mentioned that there was a shortage of moving Dollie's and appliance Dollies, people are being told at check in. At check in I was advised that both Dollies were not available, it's a first come first serve, I didn't say that at my time of booking. I and my 68 year old husband have spinal surgery's and cannot lift heavy furniture. The store manager who was checking me in advise me to go to HOME DEPOT AND GET A DOLLIE!. I booked movers through the U -Haul website for 11:00, so at 9:30 in the morning U -Haul wants me to race around town finding a furniture and appliance Dollie?. Apparently this is been happening for a while that people are told at check in, how unprofessional and inconsiderate. A phone call the previous night could have helped. When I asked if he could phone other stores, he acted like it was a big deal, that he already knew that they didn't have equipment either. I drove for 15 miles (got the truck in at 100797 miles and gave it back at 100812 miles) but I was charged $51.75 extra for fuel. I informed the person at the counter about the fuel indicator not working and he asked me to take a picture for proof. I showed that picture while returning the truck as well. The person who received it back from me told me she would take care of it. I wasn't told by anyone at the counter that I would need to refuel. Now I am charged $104.89 total for 15 miles of distance. This is an extremely unpleasant experience and would never recommend it to any of my friends. I and my friend got a truck from the same location 2 weeks ago and he was charged exactly for what he drove. He never refueled and wasn't charged for fuel as well. I don't know why I am being charged an extra $51.75 for no reason. Worst customer service!Raja V.

If Uhaul says a rental will be ready at 7:30 AM on the reservation, and the renter calls the night before to confirm mobile pickup, it should be ready. NOTHING was ready and we had to wait for the store to open at 9:00 AM, wasting the time we had movers scheduled. Horrible experience!Raymond H.

I got the wrong initial milage inputed. The truck had around 30800 miles and the initial milage on the return said 75000. I had to be on call for an hour with customer service and I was just told to "add my milage" to the initial amount said. I originally booked at Uhaul 1032 E. 46th St 78751. I was called and said they could not accommodate reservation. They transferred me to 4021 N. I-35 78722. The gave me the cargo van there. We left 2 blocks and I thought our Van was on fire. The smoke was extremely heavy. I returned the Van. The front desk lady stated she was sorry and this was supposed to be taken out of inventory. When I arrived from the airport, I was told my reserved truck was not there, nor available. I had paid 51.00 to get there and was very upset. Then about after waiting 30 minutes for service, the nice young man Taylor, said there might be a truck available at another location. I asked if he could take me there since it was there fault, and I had already paid a cab fee. Then all of a sudden this guy walks in and says, "here's your truck" So weird....The truck was awesome, like brand new, no bells or whistles, no Bluetooth radiation, a real old fashioned key, and since I have EHS( electrohypersensitivity syndrome) it was perfect for me! I would not hesitate to rent again as an option from newer cars from traditional car rental places, if only the per mile rate was lower.AUDRA B.

The online reservation system was deceitful about the truck that was available. If a truck isnt available you need to ensure it accurately reflects that in the reservation system. This means your software is flawed. Then when they called me to confirm 3 days before my pickup they changed the location and the rep didnt tell me...so I didnt notice until I had gone to the wrong location. Yes... you all texted me the new location but didnt not tell me when they called me. The people at the location were courteous .
