The checkout process was fast, but pertinent information about after hours drop off charges was disregarded. I also didn't get a pamphlet with my rental saying I would be charged for dropping it off after hours. I recommend that U-Haul change the checkout procedure to have the renter specifically sign saying they understand an after-hours drop off will cost them. I've rented from plenty of other facilities who don't charge this, so I was in shock when I received my final bill. The renal agreement also said the tank was on 7/8th, but it was slightly over half a tank when I got in the vehicle. I took a picture of the gas meter prior to leaving the lot because this was incorrect at check out. I ended up being charged $8 in gas although I put $14 back in it (over 4 gallons for a 30 mile trip, which should be sufficient.) However, when I called the store the next morning to dispute these charges, Desiree was very very nice and helpful with me. I sent her the pictures of the gas tank and made suggestions of explicitly telling people about the after hours charge, and she helped me with both. I honestly wouldn't rent from here again if it weren't for Desiree being so nice and helpful. Now I know about the after-hours charges and will never do that agin. Thank you.

I dropped the cargo trailer off at this location just as they were closing, at 7 pm. I'm sure that the workers were ready to go after a long day. Needless to say, they greeted me with a smile and helped me out without any complaining.

The University of Texas location was fine. The issue was with the Airport blvd location. This was a nightmare of an experience and I won't be using Uhaul ever again. On 12/8 I booked a 20' truck, a tow dolly and a 10' x 15' unit on the ground level. When I get to the facility on 1/3 I'm told I can't drop the equipment off there (even though that's where I was told to drop it off at) and I don't have a reservation for a storage unit. Lisa, the facility manager, said she could see what's available though. Here's where it gets weird. Lisa found a 10' x 30' on the ground level that was “available” but she had to check that it was really available. Why would the system say it's available when it's not? The problem is, none of her codes were working so she spent an hour trying to get to the unit. A full hour. 30min of which was spent on the phone talking to the manager, Joi, about things that were completely irrelevant to getting access to the unit. She told me to drop the tow dolly off down the road and come back and she would have a unit ready for me. When I get back, she still hasn't looked at the 10' x 30' unit because of the access code issue. Finally, 1.5hrs later we get to the unit and it's not available. Then we spend another 30min trying to get to a 10' x 15' unit on the 4th floor. We get there and it's too far back, it wouldn't work. I booked a ground level unit because it was the only thing that would work for what I was unloading. Meanwhile I have two people I'm paying $100 an hour waiting 2hrs for Lisa to tell me she doesn't have a storage unit. Finally I decided to book a unit at an Extra Space down the road. It took 5minutes for them to book me a unit. Why was this so difficult for Uhaul? Why wasn't my reservation in the system and why couldnt the facility manager access the building? Why do you have units showing as “available” when they're not. This was a major waste of time and money. $200 down the drain because Uhaul dropped the ball. This is the last time I'm using Uhaul.

The staff at the location was very helpful. I would say fabulous. However, I haven't rented a U-Haul trailer in 5+ years and this was the first experience with the click-on / click-off clamp. I am not impressed, as it leaves the trailer loose on the ball and results in a lot of bouncing and rattling when empty or only partially full.

Regarding equipment, I rented a 5 x 8 covered trailer. At 40 mph the trailer caused the Tahoe to vibrate. The tires were not balanced or they were out of alinement. It appears the trailer was an old one. I have rented from Uhaul over a very long period of time. This was the first time I have not been happy with the rental. The location is clean and the employees are wonderful. I would use this location again.

When I dropped off the trailer, they told me that the trailer was not properly secure and it was dangerous. Your employees need to be trained as to how to connect a trailer. Any questions, you can talk to the Aurora Uhaul manager. They also forgot the furniture pads.

This location was great. I want to comment on the U-haul service agent that did not call us to confirm there was no 20ft U-haul at the first original location. Instead we had to find out ourselves and go to a different location not getting the 20 ft U haul but a 15ft U haul. Please call ahead and let customers know if you have availability so they can make arrangements.

Cab of the uhaul smelled like stale cigarettes and some leftover food was behind the driver seat. The employees at the front desk were slow and distracted. Slow help getting my trailer connected and poor instructions.

There was no issue with the location, they were actually very helpful. The process of signing into the truck share was abysmal. Why would i have to fill out everything once i got to the site? I should have been able to do this a few hours/days before. The app did not work well and did not let me change the mileage on the van even though it was 2000 miles more. This caused me to have to go into the store, when the app should eliminate the need to do this.

The trailer had oil all over it, sharp edges where tires rolled on the ramp and a strap that was cut that holds the tires in place.

Mobile check in takes way too long and still have to go into the office to get key. Rental truck had 1/4 gas's left in tank which is too low. Needs to be full and require each renter to refill . Easier to add fuel used back to full va 1/4 tank estimating when refueling.

The truck I got was disgusting. Wasn't cleaned cigarette ash in the cab. Shattered glass in the box, and someone's pills in the glove box. Would not recommend this place to a stranger. I'll never use U-Haul again especially at this location. I was also over charged at this location. Terrible. Absolutely terrible. Disgusting

Two things: I ordered blankets and I guess I didn't realize I needed to have them in hand before I was handed the keys and bid adieu, so I never got them. Secondly, it would be nice if they told you whether you had a diesel or petrol engine beforehand.

They gave me a truck that was on dead empty. I made maybe 200-300 yards from the store and ran out of gas. That should NEVER be allowed to happen!!! They also charged me for equipment that they didn't put on the truck

Truck was fine but I ordered furniture pads and utility Dollys. Neither was ready nor did they seem to know what I ordered online. Then when I told them they only had one dolly so I had to go buy another one for this move. Why reserve and order if it doesn't get followed.

The manager and employees at this location are superb in their customer service. Thank you so much for the extra help in getting the van unlocked. I must have accidentally hit the lock, leaving the keys inside, as I exited and was mistakenly sure that there was an auto locking system, I was so upset as I was on a time crunch, super stressed about Covid, and just plain freaked out. The general manager and the woman who answered my calls (I wish I could remember their names) were so calm and went beyond to help keep me calm. Thank you so very much, this is my go to uhaul location from now on! - L

This location was fine. My issue was that I was redirected two or three times and was only told about it once. I arrived on time at the first redirected site and the guy smirkingly told me that the truck was not there, it had been rented. I then had to call the local manager to find where my truck was and thankfully it was at the third location. I had movers coming and this was a serious issue due to Austin traffic and time is money.

I don't appreciate that I was charged for an “overnight” fee because I returned the truck the same day on Sunday, when they close ridiculous early anyways. No one told me there would be a fee for returning it same day/after hours.How hard is it to process the fact that I left the key in the key box and parked the truck in the correct area that you have to scam people out of $20+ dollars?

Place was understaffed, so only 1 person, great as he was, at the front desk..who also checked vehicles in... ONE PERSON FOR THE WHOLE PLACE. He was running around like a maniac. So he was helpful and great. But we didn't get the blankets and dolly reserved. The tow trailer was a mess. Once we drove off, we noticed the trailer lights shorted out. That took 5 places we stopped at to fix. Uhaul is a mess right now. Grab a Penske if you can to get a guaranteed truck. My reservation was not fulfilled where I reserved it but was punted around to 5 other local locations to cobble together my order. This place did us as best as they could but what a stressful sht show that ended up delaying my move by 2 days and costing me lost fees with cleaners who I had to reschedule.

They first put me into a van that didn't have a well working AC. I asked for an exchange and they were more than willing to make that switch for me. The young lady behind the counter was a rock star. She really was. I watched her handle multiple customers at the same time doing the best she could. She seemed like the only one who knew the computer system and how to navigate it. She will be the main manager one day...no doubt.

initial reservation 21398708 for your and my records. I would give this place a 0 if possible, I had a reservation to take a truck from this location to pipe creek. it was on the profile I have set up and have a lot of documentation about this. When I walked into the location, the lady at the counter changed my reservation without my knowledge, to an in town pick up and drop off. I was never informed at all of this switch until I was told later and charged an extra 350 dollars for this "bait and switch tactic" I will be seeking further help to get this resolved at this point. U-haul has refused to even look at my original reservation to see their error. and has threatened me financially I will never do business with U-haul again. and I will tell as many people as is humanly possible.

First off, pickup location was switched about 12 hours before pickup. I did not receive a call or text indicating a change, just an email with loads of fluff and finally at the very bottom saying what the pickup location was. Did not say it had changed. It's pretty effing important thing to tell someone. The new location was much further away and inconvenient. The new location was late opening. The gas tank had 1/4 tank less than what the checkout paperwork said there was in there, which is about $60 someone would have to eat if they weren't watching closely. Luckily, I snapped a pic showing miles, gas, time/date and truck number.
