The customer service from Savanali was very disengaged. I rented a car hauler and let her know that I may be a couple hours late when returning. She went on to tell me I can not be late because she needs to rent it to another customer. She then said I had to be back by 3pm but am getting charged 2 full days but could not be late because it has to go to another customer. I then had a voicemail from a gentleman named Ethan who reminded me I was late and had to have the car hauler back for their other customer â€œif I didn't want to occur additional feesâ€. I would not recommend this location to anyone and will not be coming back. I felt as if my business was not appreciated and that I was inconveniencing them.ASHLEY S.

Nobody picked up the phone when I called on 4/24/2021 around 7:51am, when I finally arrived the store physically to pick up my Cargo Van, I saw 3 employees were there working busily, and there were about 4 or 5 people were waiting in line. Someone please pick up the phone or automatically routed the call to the calling center, it was very frustrated when I called 3 or 4 UHaul stores and nobody picked up the phone, very bad!hon N.

U-Haul is one of the worst operating businesses around. I called 5 different locations to try reserving a trailer and no location answered their phone. I went in person and was able to get one, but when I had to return it they were closed so I tried returning it through the U-Haul app and that didn't work either, terrible experience probably won't rent from U-Haul ever again.Matt E.

Original location scheduled for trailer pick up didn't have the equipment. Gentleman on lot hooked me up with the next size trailer and said he'd handle the change notification with the customer service woman. I had already merged on to the highway when customer service rep. called asking me to return the trailer to the lot since it was currently reserved for another customer due in a few hours. I had already given them 45 mins between scheduled return of trailer (due in at noon) and the time I arrived. I waited over 30 minutes for the hook up and now had to return. I was redirected the next nearby dealer who had the 5 x 8' trailer I needed and was assured that all my information was retained in the database and that she'd confirmed the trailer was there. I was annoyed at being inconvienanced and put behind schedule. The next dealer was only 6 miles away, however when they checked the reservation they said they didn't have the 5 x 8 trailer and that I was going to have to go to a third location. I refused stating that I would take the 5 x 8 trailer I could see clearly parked in their lot. The response: "That trailer is already reserved for someone to pick up at 4:00". Again I strongly refuted that I had a 1:00 reservation and should be given the trailer and that an employee at their sister location had time to transport that 5 x8 they had to this location to fulfill the 4:00 reservation. The gentleman wasn't exactly apologetic, but he did make it right by contacting dispatch to have the reservation switched from the sister location to theirs. He also gave me a discount ( of which i had to suggest was due: asked for free insurance coverage) and he reduced the rental rate and provided insurance coverage. by the time I was on the road, I had lost 1 hr and 45 minutes travel time due to UHaul dispatch not correctly handling reservation/equipment/location properly. My suggestion is that in such cases when equipment is not returned on time that Uhaul employ equipment runners to relocate the next available equipment to the location it is reserved for. It should not be up to the customer to go from location to location to find the equipment they reserved and was assured would be at a pick up location.GERALYN W.

Nothing that I see, we had reserved with a different location. But it was not a problem when we were called to pick up at another location. Which was just as close to our house. Your check out associate was great. Your agent when we rented was the worse customer service experience I have ever had. No attention as he was preoccupied with a personal auto situation. When he finally got around to 50% attention on me he said he would show me the truck. That entailed pointing to it and walking g away. The only issue I had is regarding filling the tank to 7/8 before returning the van to U-Haul. Following the guideline to return the gas level to 7/8, the gauge did not show that I had added enough gas the first try. So I added gas a second time, and the gauge was still not up to 7/8. I added yet more gas - which didn't make sense to me as I had only driven about 24 miles - when it was finally at the 7/8 mark. Once I left the gas station and was driving back to the U-Haul location, the gauge went higher up and was well beyond the 7/8 mark. I did not say anything when I returned the vehicle, but I probably should have. I do not understand why a customer shouldn't just fill the tank once finished with the rental vehicle.THEODORE KURT B.

Person who helped check me in seemed to be bothered that I was there making him with. He was barely helpful and had an attitude the whole time. Return process was confusing and ended up calling customer service, which resulted in a long hold. So I sat in the parking lot just to ensure there was a record of my return. I encountered a problem trying to lock the unit; after a long exhausting day, I couldn't get the top part of the latch to slide forward placing the plunger into the hole in the door frame. A young man from the office came to help but was unable to get the latch to engage as well. He told me no one would be available to fix it until morning. Obviously that wasn't acceptable. He left to see if someone else could help. After standing at my storage unit for about 10 minutes I went outside to see the young man who had been helping me was now in the driveway assisting people w/ their rental trailers. So I called the U-Haul main number and held for nearly 15 minutes. While I was holding the young man comes to me to report that his manager is gone and she's not answering the phone because she's off duty now. I was also told there was no emergency number because this problem had never occurred before. The lady who answered my call shared that if the unit couldn't be locked, the store had an obligation to move my belongings to a secure facility if that was needed to secure it. I explained that we had just moved three safes into the unit and that would be extremely difficult without the appropriate equipment. After a long hold, she comes back on the line and tells me she's "just going to have to wake Jennifer up." I didn't realize it, but the rep connected me directly to Jennifer who clearly wasn't happy with the call. She tried to explain that the store was closed now and there was no one to help. I told her this all began before the store closed. Finally she offered to get the situation corrected and told me she would call me back. Almost immediately two attendants came running to help. Turns out that in order to get the top latch to engage, it requires the user to literally stand on the handle applying all the user's weight for this particular unit. At the end of an exhausting day to have run into this odd situation was tear-inducing and to have a staff that seemed so ill-prepared was even more frustrating. It took more than an hour to correct something that should have taken the amount of time it would take an employee to get from the store to the unit in question but an hour was unacceptable. Jennifer could have called me back too to make sure everything was finally handled correctly and to my satisfaction, but...I will continue to use the facility but will recognize that if assistance is required, it seems to be limited by knowledge, imagination and desire.Sandra C. | Online Move In

There was no climate control in the storage area even though we paid an extra $20 month for it, the rates are unreasonable for what you get, and the staff will argue with you instead of being helpful or offer useless solutions. The storage unit when we moved in was showing 105° on the thermostat that said “climate control between 65-80°” so it was a miserable experience moving stuff in and we had the same experience moving stuff out. I reserved a climate controlled unit and when I got there it was not available and so I did not great climate control. I selected that size because it was the biggest one I could get that had climate control. Had I known I was not going to get climate control, I would have packed different items to store and I may have selected a bigger unit. Because I had planned for the smaller unit, I only packed enough to fit in the smaller size. I had a four hour drive from Henderson, Nevada, and there was no option to go back and load more into the truck. I hope this makes sense. Accurate communication up front would have made for a much better experience. The facility maintenance person at this location is top notch, friendly and efficient. The only negative that I noticed at this particular facility is that they always seemed to be overstocked with rental trucks and, especially during the week, loading and parking space was often hindered; trucks were always parked in the loading area of the storage. did not have a good experience here. I rented a 10x10 storage room. When I checked in they asked for a credit card to pay monthly. I did. Then I got a late notice fee for late payment. The employees parked at the loading/unloading dock. Every time I came to enter I had to ask someone to move a vehicle. The manager was indifferent about it and just said “ya we don’t have much parking here. So I waited. The driveway was always blocked, always had to wait to get in to the facility.
