Pull the truck out of its parking spot for the customer. My truck was wedged between two other trucks. I had to fold in the mirrors on both sides of my rental as well as those on the trucks on either side in order to get the rig out.Gregory D.

Store overbooked trucks, causing minor delay. Staff was prompt in making arrangements for another vehicle. Fortunately, a late arrival came in just prior to my leaving for another location. So, it worked out.DENNIS T.

Pick up was a nightmare! I ordered it online as a mobile pickup. However, the truck was blocked in by other trucks and the key was not in the lockbox. The facility was closed so we sat for 30+ mins until we saw a man who was in another truck that appeared to work there. I went to talk with him and I can't even begin to tell you how incredibly RUDE and NOT HELPFUL this man was. His name was John and he had a shirt on that read "general manager" - I have been to this location a handful of time and never once received good service but this was by far the worst ever! If this is how management acts towards customers, I can see why the employees are trained to act towards customers. So frustrating!Teresa C.

I reserved a first floor unit, that should have been climate controlled. I got there and it is a lower level unit, not climate controlled. Accessing my unit is hard. The doors are blocked by regular cars parked so I cannot back my trailer to it. The elevator is slow, slow, slow. So you are stuck in the sweltering heat. Not a great experience. We have a couple units in Phoenix that are way nicer, I should have gotten another one there and just made the drive.Jennifer R. | First Impressions

The first night I rented a Uhaul it got messed up becaiae I was guaranteed a truck at the location I preferred and it wasn't available. So I had to go pick up at the other location. Well it wasn't the truck I needed and couldn't get ahold of anyone so I reserved at a location 20 minutes from me. The truck still wasn't the size I needed but I needed something. I got there to pick up the truck and the system was down. I had wasted two guys time and my money while we waited for the system to never come up. I then had to rent the next night. I got the truck I needed but the flat dolly wasn't in the truck. I rented a flat dolly and it wasn't in the truck. I was told by the customer service dept that I wouldn't have to pay for any of this, not the truck and not he equipment. I'm hoping that's still the caseChristopher K.

I am a very responsible individual and would never try to scam anyone. Your check in service at night is horrific! I was not able to put in the mileage on my vehicle when I was doing the online check in. It kept telling me I could not have less miles than when I started. I'm assuming this is because the mileage was put on the contract incorrectly when I picked up the vehicle. This caused additional anguish on the return process because I had to guess at a mileage in order to complete the night time check in. The incorrect mileage resulted in a huge overcharge which forced me to have to have my husband come down to the facility to try and sort out. The employees where very professional, considerate and reversed the outrageous charges. I want to impress upon the fact that the employees at this location are incredible but the management is less than desirable and to say the least very rude and unprofessional. I returned the vehicle in an undamaged condition, in fact I even videoed the vehicle in case something like this came up but then I was informed by this rude individual that I had returned this vehicle with a huge mess in the back - oil - he said and he was going to charge me for the mess. The items that we transferred contained absolutely no oil so I'm not sure where he came up with an such an outrageous accusation. I feel that this was nothing but a made up excuse to charge me more money. Now mind you. If I had returned the vehicle like this, I have no problem but first and foremost I would never return a vehicle in that condition because if we had spilled and oil or whatever he was accusing us of we would have taken person responsibility for it and cleaned it before we returned it!!! At this point, after receiving such a very rude phone call from this manager, I was working and could not go down and argue with him, so I said forget it. Charge me!!! Especially after multiple attempts at trying to call this individual back to gain a clearer understanding of the situation because unless you are face to face with the people who work here, you can just forget about getting through in the telephone because you are placed on hold forever!!! I would not recommend this facility to anyone based on this experience!!! This manager is a poor reflection on a good name and if your facilities are franchised, (this I'm not sure) this person needs some serious customer service training before his mannerisms have a negative impact on the quality of customer service that you are used known for . I'm sure I'm not the only person that he has been so inconsiderate and rude to or try to insinuate that a vehicle that was returned at night was less than satisfactory and with this I would most certainly make sure that if anyone intends to rent from this facility, that they make sure they can find time to return their rental during the day while you are there to inspect the vehicle with staff so that you are not charged for something that you did not do. I am a native Phoenician, highly regarded in my position, have worked in a very reputable profession at the same facility for 25 years and would never return a vehicle in any condition that he insinuated. I will never recommend this facility to anyone and trust me I know a lot of people. My advice to this manager is to at least take the time to listen to your customers, provide a number where issues like this get direct attention and provide proof to back up your statements, especially false ones in my situation. This will not only protect you and your facilities reputation but the reputation of your customers.Denise C.

They rented me a locker that was already rented out I placed a hold on unit online but that wasn’t useful I was charged twice and still waiting on my refund very inconvenient. The move in was horrible the employees could not help us . We pull up in our rent trailer after driving it from Oregon planning to empty into the storage unit . To our surprise the unit had a pillar in it and it was half the size we paid for. Tried to talk to the employee about it and he said to bad that what you get. I encountered a problem trying to lock the unit; after a long exhausting day, I couldn't get the top part of the latch to slide forward placing the plunger into the hole in the door frame. A young man from the office came to help but was unable to get the latch to engage as well. He told me no one would be available to fix it until morning. Obviously that wasn't acceptable. He left to see if someone else could help. After standing at my storage unit for about 10 minutes I went outside to see the young man who had been helping me was now in the driveway assisting people w/ their rental trailers. So I called the U-Haul main number and held for nearly 15 minutes. While I was holding the young man comes to me to report that his manager is gone and she's not answering the phone because she's off duty now. I was also told there was no emergency number because this problem had never occurred before. The lady who answered my call shared that if the unit couldn't be locked, the store had an obligation to move my belongings to a secure facility if that was needed to secure it. I explained that we had just moved three safes into the unit and that would be extremely difficult without the appropriate equipment. After a long hold, she comes back on the line and tells me she's "just going to have to wake Jennifer up." I didn't realize it, but the rep connected me directly to Jennifer who clearly wasn't happy with the call. She tried to explain that the store was closed now and there was no one to help. I told her this all began before the store closed. Finally she offered to get the situation corrected and told me she would call me back. Almost immediately two attendants came running to help. Turns out that in order to get the top latch to engage, it requires the user to literally stand on the handle applying all the user's weight for this particular unit. At the end of an exhausting day to have run into this odd situation was tear-inducing and to have a staff that seemed so ill-prepared was even more frustrating. It took more than an hour to correct something that should have taken the amount of time it would take an employee to get from the store to the unit in question but an hour was unacceptable. Jennifer could have called me back too to make sure everything was finally handled correctly and to my satisfaction, but...I will continue to use the facility but will recognize that if assistance is required, it seems to be limited by knowledge, imagination and desire.Sandra C. | Online Move In

I reserved a climate controlled unit and when I got there it was not available and so I did not great climate control. I selected that size because it was the biggest one I could get that had climate control. Had I known I was not going to get climate control, I would have packed different items to store and I may have selected a bigger unit. Because I had planned for the smaller unit, I only packed enough to fit in the smaller size. I had a four hour drive from Henderson, Nevada, and there was no option to go back and load more into the truck. I hope this makes sense. Accurate communication up front would have made for a much better experience. The staff was empathetic to the situation, but your “reservation” system undermined my experience significantly.Damian S. | First Impressions
