The After Hours â€œReturn My Truckâ€ app was impossible to properly navigate. I returned the truck 20 minutes before due time but spent an hour trying to log the return in on my cell phone - to no avail. Finally I gave up and dropped the key in the drop slot. Completely messed up my contract and gave me false information. Now I can't get my stuff on time and I've had to spend hours undoing all the mistakes they caused. This process has turned into a nightmare.SAMUEL W.
Definitely have more personnel available at the desk, especially on a Saturday morning. We waited in-store in line for 25 minutes with just one customer ahead of us, just to pick up our reservation. There were seemingly only two people working that morning - one cleaning the equipment/trucks and the other at the desk. The employee cleaning had informed us twice that the desk rep would be with us shortly and once he realized â€œshortlyâ€ was seemingly never coming he finally assisted us, which took 7 minutes, if that. Outside of that delay and experience, the other services were top-notch. The process of reserving was effortless (I initially reserved online but had to cancel my reservation, due to my own date changes; later I reserved In-person). The rep that made my reservation was seemingly working solo that morning but had me reserved within minutes and was very friendly. The van rented was clean and rode exceptionally well. The return was extremely painless. There were actually 3 (or 4) people working and when asked if I was returning and I said yes, I was thanked for renting and told to leave the keys in the van and to expect an email receipt, but then another rep, with a smile, said you can give me the keys and I'll get it. That whole return process took exactly 3 minutes and there were two customers ahead of me. My emailed receipt did come hours later with all notations and adjustments accurately made. I was charged for 3 gallons of gas. I drove 10 miles and put 7 dollars worth of gas back in. There was no way I even used 3 gallons of gas. I am very displeased with this transaction.DON S.

Clean the vehicle..sanitize it before giving it to another customer. Don't give a customer a truck when the tire light is on make sure you put air in the tires. Also one other mantience lights were on so make sure all lights are off. If I got in an accident because of low air when loading furniture I would have been held liable by uhaul. Please make sure your customers don't get into an accident or injured based on the negligence of your own company. I took pictures of the lights and emailed them. When returning the vehicle the system was done. I was supposed to use mobile check in. I called and was given instructions to place key in drop box and to call uhaul in the morning to remind them the system was down upon return. By that time I received a receipt with additional fees for manual check in. I went to the location and the representative indicated she adjusted it. Asked for a receipt and she said it would be emailed. Never got an email but check my uhaul account and the fee was removed however the mileage charged were altered. I have pictures of everything mileage at pick up and drop off. Now I have to wait on hold for 20 plus minutes to have this resolved! Such poor customer service with the back and forth. The company rob me, I had a rental for one day and they charged me for 14 days rental. Also said they could not find the key, charged me for that and charged me for gas. The rental returned receipt shows 18 miles, so 14 days rental and 18 miles makes no sense and I literally when to the corner of the uhaul business and moved something and bought the truck back to uhaul . I have called customer service and stayed on hold for over a 1 hour waiting for a reps. on several occasions and I physically went into the Uhaul and the GM refused to come from the back to discuss (Sharon luette) I was told she would call me back the next day and she has not only to close out the contract and take over $500.00 off my credit card. If I cannot get a resolution off to court I go. The worst rental experience ever.Justice P.

45 minute wait to pick up, one woman was handling rentals and storage unit problems. Had to cross 4 lanes of traffic to get my van and they didn't have the furniture pads. Return was also chaotic. I turned truck in on night before after location had closed. Admittedly, I did not return blankets because I assumed we purchased them. All other equipment was in truck i.e. 2 handtrucks and 1 furniture truck. I packed this equipment prior to leaving my home and heard them bouncing around as I drove to return truck. A week later, although I was never notified, about $600 was charged to my card. I immediately called u haul at which time I was told camera footage would be reviewed. I never heard anything back so I followed up today (3 days later) at which time your associated stated they did not find eqmt. My concerns are as follows 1) why wasn't I called immediately about equipment 2) after my being billed and calling you, why no update 3) when I picked up truck there was a single lady working and she appeared so swamped by the customer volume that if she or another single person operating, how could they possibly check. 4) admittedly I kept blankets and will gladly return them.. we thought we purchased them; however, THERE WAS NO DOUBT THAT THE DOLLIES AND FURNITURE MOVING EQUIPMENT WAS RENTED AND IT WAS RETURNED. The associate with whom I spoke stated that the lot is video taped which should prove my innocence or guilt but I'm doubtful anyone reviewed that video bc either someone else stole your stuff, an employee oversight or employee theft is at work. I did not steal or erroneously keep your equipment. My problem with this is the lack of communication from your staff, for example, 1) no call immediately upon realizing equipment wasn't there 2) billing my credit card without contacting me for this missing equipment and 3) apparent lack of concern for my money taken for equipment I didn't take and that I know was in truck when returned. This feel like an unfair business practice and I suggest someone responsible go check you video or at least back up your video on the night in question. THIS IS A PROBLEM!!!! Gas gauge was incorrect. Could not correct it when picking up. Used 1/8 of a tank, paid $40 for ten gallons upon returning (found out only via email). Definitely less than reputable business practice. Have had much better experience at other U-Haul rental locations.Theodore G.
The mobile experience needs work. There is no indication you'll need an alternative contact until you're at the uhaul location. This process could take 20 min to verify, where you could do this ahead of time with a text and verification code instead of phone call. I ended up being half an hour late to an engagement due to this. Please take a moment to brainstorm improvements. Thanks!Henry R.

The employee who worked the desk informed me that the 15ft truck that I had reserved was not available and that "none were on the lot." He called around to see if another location had that size of truck. Then I said I will take a 10 ft if it was available and then handed me the keys and told me it was in parking space "L." Well I go out to the lot and there is nothing parked in parking space "L." But there is a 15ft truck parked in another space and guess what? This was the vehicle he gave me the keys for-after I removed the card board windshield cover MYSELF and did the inspection of the vehicle MYSELF I drove off. The lot attendants were helpful but they were busy trying to deal with a back up of vehicles being returned. No I would not recommend or use this location again and frankly I think you should refund my money.TARAS V.

I came in on 5/26/2022 picked up a uhaul around 2:30 or 3:30 filled the gas back to where it was when I picked it up, bought it back around 5:30/6 gave the keys to the employee to find out the next day that he had charged me for gas that I didn't need, now I can't get anyone from the store on the lineBRANDI M.

When it was my turn, he was kind and amicable even though he seemed to be the only front desk employee in one of the busiest days of the year in B’more GRADUATIONS all over the city! Lots of moving ins and outs. He handled everything though I bet he wishes he had backup! Give the guy a BIG RAISE! ❤️👏🏻❤️ The only problem we had was after hours entry. Be patient and take your time to wait on customer in front of you and tell them if you are putting funds on hold and why and amount. Nobody told me nothing about $188 deposit and plus the amount of van and other charges they put on my bank card made it overdraft and I have had this account over 10 yrs never overdraft and they act like oh well it wasn't my moneyRUBY D.

I was rented a unit which was occupied. I had to wait for the staff (whom was very friendly and helpful) to find me a unit. The check in pad didn’t work. The portable stairs didn’t work properly. I had 3M movers there and was paying by the hour. Needless to say that they were being held up for their next job. While I’m force to incur additional charges.
