The parking lot is small and difficult to navigate; I had a hard time both finding parking when I came to pick up the vehicle and determining where the vehicle drop-off was. Also, the "mobile check-in" isn't as remote and easy to use as advertised; I had to complete several more steps after doing the early check-in (which was advertised as a way to make pickup go faster), and I ultimately had to go inside the building and talk in person with someone to get the keys to my vehicle. While we are still in the middle of dealing with covid, this is not an ideal situation in any way.

Just better check in after hours. Everything else up to that point was great. Ask for so much photos. It's best when returning dpi during normal open hours to not deal with all that. Other then that it was great

I would only say the appliance dollies should really have the proper and working straps on them. That is the entire reason to use an appliance dolly to hold an piece of furniture in place. The dolly only had 1 strap and not the right attachments and when going down a step the large piece of furniture bounced off cutting my arm and slamming on my leg which I initially couldn't get the furniture off my leg. I was left with cut on arm and bruise on arm and leg. I still have the bruise on leg. Very dangerous to be renting out non-functional dollies. You should really provide what the customer paid for.

This is the only Uhaul I trust and I have been to several since it seems like I am always moving. This last trip, I reserved a uhaul through my online account and the day before I was to pick it up I called the uhaul main number (not this location) and didn't get a good vibe that my reservation was indeed set and ready to go. I feared I would arrive at the location in Round Rock they were sending me to and my uhaul wouldn't be there and the corporate uhaul didn't necessarily put my mind at ease one bit. So, I figured I would drive to the Ben White location to see if they could reassure me my reservation was set. I arrived right before they were about to close and was greeted by Mandi. Mandi is probably the absolute nicest human being I have ever met in customer service. She reviewed my reservation and assured me I was set however, there was one little catch. My reserved uhaul had to arrive back on time for me to be able to rent it. If they were late dropping it off then I was screwed basically. Since I had movers coming at a certain time I couldn't take the chance of something happening. She discussed my options and was able to talk me down to a 15' uhaul instead of the 20' and she would make a new reservation for me which assured me that I would get it on time since it was on their lot. She even took the time to walk outside to show me the size so I could make sure everything would fit, which it did. If it wasn't for Mandi I probably would have been extremely anxious all night. We all know moving is very stressful but for Mandy I had complete reassurance everything would be fine. I picked up the uhaul she saved for me the next morning and the process was quick and smooth. I hope uhaul reads this review and I hope they know what a valuable asset Mandi is to their company. She is a gem with a very calming personality but most importantly you can tell she cares and this isn't just another job.

Check-in Application hurdles which delayed me 45 mins. Issues with application: 1. Geolocator did not work - requiring me to find key drop, 2. Took several attempts to get driver license with picture to be accepted. 3. Taking Picture of self on application, dos not allow you to rotate internal camera for a selfy. 4. Original Truck available was 3 deep within 15 ft trucks and could not get out, so had to get help to know to indicate could not find truck- then request another truck-- where I had to go inside to wait to get a key!

The facility was ok, but the staff were honestly incompetent and rude. Jessica was rude to me a few times when I was checking in, and she got me set up at the wrong storage unit. That wasted about an hour of my movers time that they could have spent unloading my truck. And the older lady was not very helpful, either. I went over there to check out, and it looked like she was busy. So I waited for her to finish. I couldn't help but notice it was taking awhile for her to wrap up what I thought she was doing on the computer. Turns out, she was dorking around on her cell phone and was completely oblivious to the fact that a customer was waiting on her. The location was okay, but the front desk staff are rude, aloof to customers and don't seem to know how to do their jobs right. Either re train them, or get new staff, please.

This location required me to provided a second persons phone number to confirm who I was, just rented a truck a week back, got a lock box code, never saw anybody and got put thru the ringer to rent a trailer. POOR customer service at this location by the clerk and the manager who told me if I don't like it he wont rent me the equipment, is it his personal equipment to rent?

I'm more dissatisfied with the online reservation system. It's my second attempt to use it and it failed me again. Ended up having to go into the store , stand in line, go thru the whole process again. Online just doesn't seem to work.

Truck had a loose belt that squilled from central Texas to DC (1600 miles). Notified uhaul 3 times. Maintenance came out but could not fix. Had to pull over in Mississippi for safety. Uhaul still did not fix truck. Completed felt unsafe.

The front desk lady was not very friendly. Two different trailers were hooked up to my car and then I was told the electrical did not work. I waited probably an hour until one that was in working order was found. I offered to go to a different location but they did not respond. It seemed the young lady helping me was not sure how to hook up the trailers. I do not want her to get in trouble but you should check to make sure everyone knows what they are doing. Luckily I had time to spare to wait for a working trailer.

I had rented a Ubox and set a pick-up date for December 13th a week in advance. Upon arriving I was notified that this was not in the system and that I needed 24 hours' notice. Although I had family drive in from out of town to help with my move, we accepted this policy, as I thought it could've been my error. We then had to reschedule the pickup for the following weekend, as our schedules during the week are busy, especially when factoring in travel time. With knowledge of the 24 hour Uhaul policy, that same day I made the Ubox pick up for December 19th and called to confirm this with you guys both on the morning of December 19 and earlier in the week (in an effort to avoid any mix-up as, again, I had family from out of town driving in to help). Upon arriving on Sunday, the Ubox was not available due to a miscommunication between the Uhaul systems. I was prepared to load the Ubox on my trailer but was told this was not a possibility because of the internal miscommunication error. I was able to unload on-site; however, had to find my own means of transporting the items inside of my two Uboxes. In honor of being fair, given that this was an error on Uhaul's end, I requested that the location give me a 10' truck rental free of charge so that I would be able to transport my items from the uhaul site to my destination. This was not considered, leaving me, and my family, who had now traveled from out of town twice, extremely bewildered and frustrated. Again, we are very disappointed with regard to how the situation was handled. It seemed more than fair to receive the truck rental free of charge for an error caused by the company. I hope you find this experience useful for future movers. In the meantime, I will not be recommending anyone to Uhaul and will be providing this feedback to others.

This location - although very inconvenient -- was OK. I went to the one in Dripping Springs - ON TIME - and was told the they don't accept trailers. The nice lady sent me to another U-haul location a few miles east on Texas 290. The guy there told me they don't handle trailers, that I was on private property, and I should leave. I called 800-Uhaul and was put on hold for 22 minutes - and that was AFTER i was called back by your system. Finally, I was directed to downtown Austin. When I go there - through heavy traffic - the guy said I was being charged an extra $22 for an additional day! I told him what had happened, and that I had been at the first U-haul location on time. He was kind enough to not charge me the extra fee.

Was curtly informed I was charged $35 late fee for return of trailer. Appointment was made over week in advance, expected time arrive at return location 1100 miles from pickup coupled with the trip being interrupted by the tornados in KY delaying planned trip time by a day I returned the unit 4 hours past my original expectation. There were multiple trailers of my type on the lot. I was informed they were "local" units. I didn't realize Uhaul demanded timing that the airlines can't deliver. Not people I would suggest doing business with. I forgot to ask if I would have received a credit for returning the unit early:-(

Long-time storage customer, never late with payment. Rented trucks and trailers for move in, moving storage contents, and storage checkout. The alarm at the Ben White facility is deafening and incessant. Why can't this be disabled or another method of alert used? It is a problem for individuals with sound sensitivities. Treated like dirt in the office. Didn't expect to be treated like royalty in the office but still...a little courtesy/professionalism goes a long way.

The office staff was rude and disorganized. The truck also didn't have backup mirrors or a camera. The right side mirror was pushed in to reflect the truck and couldn't be moved. Felt unsafe! Equipment return staff was friendly and helpful.

First I can from Ohio they out the wrong hitch onto my truck then they messed up my whole reservation got here for charged for locks twice bcuz my original storage space they didn't honor so I ended up with two small storage spaces which all of my things didn't fit in them then I was told that all of my reservations were the same for here and the drop off was for another part of Texas nobody knows about then was told I had to pay $250 not bcuz if some mistake I made but from the original person who completed the the paperwork did what they wanted and told us it would be changed by the time we arrived but I wasn't. So in short the hitch wrecked my truck, my storage space wasn't what I was given and had to pay for two separate locks because of it, then the drop off and storage was in the same place but when we got here Ohio didn't correct the mistake and so now I have to pay for something that wasn't my fault and the clerks inside the store were very rude and acted as if we robbed them of fees when I paid what was told to me and nobody told me about another Dee once I arrived I doesn't say in my bill that I have a balance due. I'm very upset and when I can move into my new place no I will not recommend this service to anyone I'm so disappointed 😞😞

I drove directly to U-Haul from Greenville, SC, to meet movers at a particular time and was beyond stressed. There was a minor mishap with the online reservation for my storage unit but Caleb was AMAZING! He was really sensitive to my situation and was extremely kind, helpful, and accommodating. He really came through for me in this highly stressful situation. The facility was impeccably clean and carefully monitored, I felt very safe here. I recommend the services that this location provides, particularly the exemplary customer service. Thank you, Caleb!!

Pulled up to begin unloading items to place in storage and was told by an employee I am not allowed to park where I was. I explained we were taking items into our storage unit which was why I was parked up front by the door leading inside the building. He stated where I was parked was “their” parking and customers can’t park there. When I asked where we should move he stated he didn’t know but I can’t stay where I’m at. Another vehicle pulled up and parked close to the entrance to begin unloading to which the employee told them “you can’t park here”. We both asked again where we should park and the employee began to get frustrated only stating “I don’t know but not here”. We were not blocking the flow of traffic for other customers or other employees to move trailers, cars , trucks etc. Overall I was rather shocked by the employee’s statements and lack of help to know where we should park to unload.

The elevator broke after my first trip to the second floor. The staff was difficult to reach, did not answer the phone or assistance button until a few tries. Was told it’d be days until they’d get it fixed and offered no assistance to help me get the rest of my belongings upstairs.

Office/counter staff was wonderful. Garage/outdoor staff was gruff and confused. One told me to park in one spot, then another came out to tell me to move the truck to another spot, and then another came out to tell me to move it to another parking lot. But the ladies behind the counter, particularly Taylor, were wonderful. They saved the day with their kindness.

The safety bar at the edge of the loading dock is a safety hazard. Easily rolling items off of the truck is impossible. Injury to the people unloading a truck is pretty much guaranteed.
