I had and still have an issue at the time of pickup. I asked for a manager and was told there wasn't one on duty. I asked if there anyone else in charge i could speak with and told to call U-Haul 800 number.

The Austin location was only checking trucks in using online even though there were representative there. Finding the key drop was hard. Had to ask where it was. Put the Key Drop Sign higher on the wall (20feet) and have a sign pointing to it at the drive in. The reps made you feel like you were bothering them. At 5PM, they all ran out quickly and left even though there were 2 customers needing checkin help. No customer service attitude.

The wait time at this location is way too long. The staff is extremely slow or incompetent. When I went to pick up an auto transport, the employee helping me was very unprofessional and not very inviting. He hardly put down his cigarette when he was attaching the auto transport to the U-Haul.

This is a very well run location. The only thing to improve is perhaps the location itself in terms of driving to, into. It can get a little congested. Otherwise highly efficient, full featured, and well stocked. It can be worth it to put up with the traffic to get everything else done right. I happened to get into a long line at the counter and it moved very fast and I was not disappointed, in fact, impressed at the efficiency.

I was told I needed to leave a 100.00 deposit because I would be dropping the truck off in kyle. I was told that I would get my 100.00 deposit back when o dropped the truck off. I was not able to get my deposit back and had to make several calls to various u haul phone numbers. The folks where I picked up the truck were not very helpful when I asked them how I could get my deposit back...since it was cash. I was told that my question, was a very good question. This one person from the call center was finally able to help me and arrange so I could have a check mailed to me. If I had been told from the start that paying the deposit in cash would be a problem, I would have used a card, instead I was told I would get my cash deposit back as soon as I returned the truck. Anyway, not a very happy customer. the uhaul I picked up the truck at was the east ben white Blvd location in austin texas Thank you A very unsatisfied customer Irasema sanchez

No one walk thrus get rental van Just hand me van key search van in the parking lot n no explanation ( x sticker ) On the windshield , body damage I’m new don’t know that Secondly they took $$ from my bank account while I still haven’t return yet

The lady staffing the counter was very helpful and friendly as well as the young man that assisted with drop off. First getting the uhaul out of the lot was terrifying as it was I the very back of an unpaved lot that had chunks of cement everywehre. The uhaul I rented was disgusting the cab had who knows what spilled all over the dash and cup holder area and when I got to open the back to start moving there was someone's old mail for their Texas tag, old French fries, and dead bugs. I had to clean the back before I was comfortable putting any of my stuff in the truck. When I go to turn the truck back in there is a semi truck blocking the road where the equipment drop off is. The driver is no where in sight so after several minutes and traffic backing up to the expressway my sister gets out to direct traffic to drive the wrong way on this street to try and get around the semi. It turns out he was doing a drop off to the uhaul place (there has got to be a better way to conduct business than blocking traffic and creating safety issues for your customers). All in all very satisfied with the people working here but I will never recommend this location to anyone and will warn people away.

They did not fold the blankets, but piled them into a mound into the back of the trailer I rented (pads, trailer and dolly rented), not sure if that is normal protocol.

Great experience renting a 10’ truck for 4 hours to move a big piece of furniture locally. Used website to book rental & then change pickup time. Store Employee Shiloh was helpful, friendly, and courteous at pick-up and Orlando at drop-off. Truck was like new, clean, and ran like a top.will definitely use this location again next time I need to rent a truck or trailer. Thank you.

First the staff was working like zombies. Zero personality. I rented a truck just for the day for my work. I went in and there were three people at the counter. One of them was helping a customer. I stood there for probably 3-4 minuets before someone said can I help you? It was kinda weird. I don’t need anyone to coddle me but a simple “hey I’ll be right with you after I finish up in a second” or something to that effect. Basic customer service 101. The truck I had, had a loose driver mirror. It wouldn’t stay in the correct position making it useless. Fortunately It was on the driver side so when I was about to make a lane change I had to roll the window down and prop up the mirror. Secondly, the woman at the counter that finally helped me said the tank was on 1/4. It was really closer to an 1/8th. I thought it was a hassle to rent this truck then go right to the filling station so I didn’t risk running out of gas. Then taking it after and filling it up again just the the 1/4 mark so I didn’t loose a $25 fill fee. I use these trucks often especially during SXSW. I spend a respectable amount of money here and feel like I don’t get the basic customer service people deserve. I took the truck back later in the day. The line was very slow. Seemed like no one there knew how to hussle or at least let the line know that they would be helped soon. It reminded me of a slower version of the DMV. I’ll probably go find a different location next time I need a truck. Cheers-

The people helping me were rude and not able to answer my questions, they were not helpful, they didn’t have he truck ready for me to pick up at my appointment time and they gave me the truck with the gas light on...just enough to get to a gas station.

I had express check-in and still had to wait in a long line. There should be a separate line for those reservations. Service was fine, but even when I came back later the line was still to the door. Need to plan better for staffing the counter.

It's a madhouse out back. People pulling in the wrong way and blocking people picking up equipment, vehicles parked everywhere in the way and no one says anything. The people out back we dealt with were very helpful and did everything possible to get us hooked up and on the road. Somebody needs to step up and be the boss to clear out the clutter and confused people tho.

The customer service guy, Sebastian Castaneda, made the experience a little awkward. He doesn't say hi or greet you to begin the interaction. I had to walk up to him and make eye contact and he was on his phone texting and had his ear buds in. Once I got his attention, things were fine and he was amicable. I would recommend he act more friendly and engage customers. He gives off the vibe that he is being bothered when you need his assistance. He was knowledgeable once the interaction started though. Also, the first truck I was assigned had a rear right low air pressure alert. When I went inside to ask about it, Sebastian and another female employee kinda argued about what to do while I waited confused. I was simply assigned a different truck at that point. Overall, the equipment worked fine and there was nothing super negative to report. I only recommend better customer service so it doesn't feel awkward.
