Staff was rude and disrespectful when we set off the alarm. I explained we had only been there twice because we needed to store my daughter's items for college during the pandemic. BOTH experiences were awful. The first visit we were given the wrong codes which set off the alarm (not our fault) and the second time was purely accidental. The m staff member over the intercom was disrespectful and condescending. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. People who need a storage facility are generally in some form of transition. I've rented from this location twice. My counter experience was terrible both times. I used self check in to keep safe and for convenience, however at this location it is neither. After looking for vehicles that were listed in wrong locations, I then had to wait both times at least 20 minutes at the â€œsideâ€ counter for my keys which completely defeats the purpose of safe socially distant check in. Both times the people were dismissive and rude. Either the self check in process should work differently or this store needs a reminder of procedures related to COVID. I never leave bad reviews, but I've now had the same experience twice. Thanks and I hope procedure and service improves at this location.LINDSEY A.

Have signed posted inside or signs facing both sides in the return area. Customer service is lacking. No one went to the truck with me to assist with adjusting side view mirrors, moving parking cones, etc. it was annoying to have to keep getting in and out of the cab to adjust both mirrors. The online check in system did not work. I received an error telling me that GPS indicated I was at the wrong location although I was standing in the lobby . It then directed me to use the location bar code instead. I had to walk all around the building looking for the bar code which was about 2 X3 inches. I scanned it and the app gave another error message indicating there was a problem with the bar code. This forced me to stand in a lengthy line which the online check in was supposed to help me avoid. When I made my reservation online, I uploaded photos of my drivers license and entered my credit card information. But the agent still took my license and took pictures of it with her mobile phone. I also had to use my card to finish the transaction. Didn't you already have this information? I don't feel comfortable at all putting it into a system and then having it presented again in person. The truck itself was good and we were able to do our move with no issues. The technology, check in, and service was sub-par.WILLIAM R.

I had a horrible experience with this location on 304 E. Benwhite blvd. The general manager Caleb is an unsuccessful dealing/interacting with customers. Caleb is very rude and disrespectful in the way he approaches customers and the way he speaks to them. I had spoke to Caleb on several instances about an issue, and while on the phone with Caleb it was very hard to express my concerns and issues that I was having because Caleb kept interrupting me and I was unable to speak. I spoke to a individual at 1 800 go U-Haul on one instance and that individual had called Caleb on my behalf since Caleb was Not wanting to listen to my concerns. I was asking for a 15 minute grace. Since I was going to be running a bit late. And that said individual stated she personally spoke to Caleb. That individual stated Caleb was not going to give me the grace period Due to the fact that he was upset took it personal. I feel it is unfair that every other customer may get a grace period but I was denied a grace period due to the fact that the general manager Caleb was upset and taking his work personal therefore he took it out on me and was upset so he denied me a 15 minute grace. I also made a complaint against Caleb. I will never ever ever come back to this location again nor will I refer to anybody I know. As a matter of fact , I will have to let the public know about this location on the review that I will be posting. I do believe Caleb needs more training on communication Skills with customers in consumers. I do feel he is a rude individual Who intimidates customers with his bad behavior and attitude. Fender was damaged upon arrival and appeared to be rubbing tires and tires blew out on highway uhaul does not have mile meters to replace worn tires to prevent customer safety, customer time, was delayed 2.5 hours was crucial to unloading trailer in daylight never happened and place to unload did not have lighting. I rented a 20' truck for the day and was taken back by the poor condition of the vehicle.. badly dented, draped, damaged; interior sun visor broken and struggling engine on the highway. The driver side door was damaged enough that significant sir was coming through and the road noise was so loud to make a phone call inaudible. Manager was quite discourteous from the very beginning. I incurred a late fee at the very beginning of the pandemic after losing my job. He refunded my late fee, however, he was very unkind and and condescending. He expressed no empathy whatsoever and stated as long as I had the unit he would never refund another late fee. In October, the keycard machine wasn’t working one night and a line of people had gathered and were trying to swipe in. I called the after hours number and it was the same unpleasant manager. Still discourteous. Still unhelpful. I hope that staff realize that moving into a storage unit can be a very low point in ones life, particularly after a job loss related to Novel Coronavirus. Thanks to Uhaull, I was able to store many items that freed my apt from clutter. Now that I have a larger dwelling and more space, I no longer need uhauls services. The only issue I had was the yearly price hike Uhaul charged to keep the storage space in the Somewhat 3 years I used their services. Shame on the general manager, he was too tired to answer the phone after hours and the only time he did, he was rude, definitely no customer service nor managerial skills, and on top of that, rip offs. We only used the storage half of the month and no refund, yet you are sending this survey and a final receipt meaning that we are not using the storage, I can almost guarantee that it will be rented to somebody else, so you are double dipping on the rent. When I was checking in I was returning my Uhaul truck and the person who was supposed to help me park it was so rude. I couldn't maneuver the truck because I'm not used to driving such a big vehicle so I asked him to help me and he refused, calling me a homophobic slur and saying I was stupid. I then went to ask the other person working outside to help and he yelled at me telling me I'm a big boy and can drive the vehicle by myself, which I couldn't. I went to the manager to tell him and he brushed it off like it was no big deal, and told me that he would do nothing about it. I will NEVER give my money to this UHaul location again knowing they are anti LGBTQ+ and just flat out rude. Been using UHaul for years and this is the only location I have ever had issues with. The only feedback I can give was that anytime I called over the past two years no one was ever available from that location and no one from that location answered the phone. This was frustrating because the only way to talk to someone there was to got physically to the location, wait on a long line of people who were renting trucks, and then my matter could be handled. This part was very inconvenient when I just had a basic question or need. That would be feedback that I would have to give.
