Although the Pick up truck was new my foot kept getting stuck between the brake pedal and the gas pedal causing the truck to speed up rapidly when I needed braking. Few week back I rental a Ford pick up truck (and trailer) and did not have any problem. Don't get me wrong The truck was very nice and U-Haul didn't design it. Also, for the second time the chains in front and back of the car carrier were so mangled up and were not usable nThis time, even with a very big screwdriver I could not find how to make both of these chains usableFRANCIS N.

I received a broken truck. Phone costumer service was great but in store service was poor. Staff was uninterested in helping out and had attitude towards me. After swapping the truck they gave me a even older one where the driver door did not close correctly. Decided to spend more money one a moving company then deal with that store. I reserved a 27' truck for TWO days , three weeks before my move. Show up on moving date & I'm told "We don't rent 27' trucks for 2 days but I got a 20' truck for you". I tell the guy that I have a receipt for the 27' & I really need a 27' truck & he responds that he didn't have one here. IF I knew I couldn't rent the bigger truck for 2 days I would've made other plans with moving. I would think that SOMEONE would've called me & told me this after the girl made this mistake. This mistake made my move a nightmare as I was unable to fit all my stuff in the truck & had to throw out some of my belongings due to having to be out of my house by a certain date. IF I have to move again or need to rent something I will try & go elsewhere. In my opinion this is unacceptable. My moving date was in the middle of the week (Tues/Weds) so I'm sure they had a way to get me the bigger truck. Also , the truck was given to me with a check engine light on....THEODORE M.

I was Pre Registered All my info was set up on line all i needed to do was sign and go yet I had to wait 40 min in line and the another 20 min getting checked through 1 hour before I hit the road you need a speed check in and out for those that pre registerCharles D.

The van we got was very clean but not maintained well at all when going over 30 mph and trying to break the whole van wheel and brake pedal shook very bad. When I told the assistant manger he said thanks I'll take it off the road and have it checked. That was not good customer service to meLENA R.

Yes or no answers here are not adequate. For example, my storage space was clean enough, but light not working, so it was pitch black inside. The staff did their best to provide a substitute battery light, but it was not properly maintained. Also, I was not aware that the space was down a long flight of stairs, no elevator, no ramps for hand trucks. Very disappointed with that. And, one should be able to return the truck to any of the three U-haul places in Bridgeport. Very inconvenient, now.,Nancy M. | First Impressions
I feel like I was treated with no understanding of a mistake that I and a uhaul employee made. Before made my return the vehicle I paid $15.00 in gas how could I have driven 198 miles.MARCELLUS C.
When I picked up the rental, I noticed the receipt said I had to bring the truck back with 3/4 tank of gas, yet it only had 1/2 tank. I asked the girl at the pickup location to note this and she said it would not be a problem, everyone does it and to just bring the truck back with at least 1/2 tank and I would be ok. I am not,ok since I was charged a fuel charge which I wanted to dispute, but no one ever called me as noted on the return site. When I dropped off the truck, I did not agree to the charges - due to the fuel charge noted above - the site said someone would call me back. No one ever did and just charged me the charge anyway. Also, you should stress to customers that if they are returning off-hours, and they do the web site based return, DO NOT PUT THE KEY IN THE DROP BOX UNTIL THE ENTIRE RETUEN IS COMPLETE. I had to go back to the truck multiple times to note odometer readings, take pictures of the interior, etc. and was lucky I did not return the key first..Philip S.
