The sun visor in the truck was broken and wouldn''t stay in place. The mirrors would not adjust (seemed to be rusted in place.) Smelled heavily of cigarette smoke. Alignment was way off. Steering wheel had to be held at 10 o'clock position to go straight down the road.SCOTTANDREW B.

The check engine light was on at pick up, but the office was not concerned. Huh. We always add the insurance and flat fee anyway. But aside from that, it was ready when they said, made the trip and back no problem. Initially we had found a two guys and a truck situation for the move (Supersonic Movers in Portsmouth VA) and they ghosted the day of the move. With UHaul at 8:30 that same morning, I was able to secure the truck size we needed for 9:30!!! Should have done this in the first place...PLUS, I had to buy boxes at Lowes and turns out...could have gotten the SAME BOXES at the same prices right there at UHaul.VICTOR T.

Check out ( getting truck) process should have attendants go over and inspect truck instead of renter. I was told to just click on an app and take pictures like that's not my job last time I checked. My phone was not on me at the time. Not to mention being on a time crunch and other trucks were blocking you to leave. Here is an idea pull the truck out by attendant wipe it down and inspect it for the next person and make sure it is ready at the pick up time. Dropping off the truck was an absolute breeze and Robert was wonderful. I didn't even have to get out and walk inside building. He explained everything I needed to know very well and polite. I always rent from this particular store. The service is always great and my phone calls are answered in a very timely manner. That means a lot to me when moving. I tried other stores and don't get the same service as this particular location. So Thank you for all you guys do and I don't care if I have to drive 30 minutes out the way to come to this store. We wound up going to another storage unit place because the halls for the storage facility were too small to where we coiling maneuver things into the unit. The doors for the 8x10 units are too small, large furniture would be difficult to fit in. The entrance into the units are fairly hidden so we had to ask where the entrance was. Your cost of refueling is insane, more than twice the price of gas. I understand I should have filled up before dropping the truck off but 78$ for half a tank is just silly. The main problem I had was never got a text or email to return the truck properly or final notice for charges or even a call to say they recieved the van after I dropped it off. The gas gauge and the mileage gauge was wrong on your online versus actually gas in van and it cost me $15 in gas because of it. And that's because of the poor WiFi that doesn't allow you to check in/out properly.Miram K.

I rent from you guys often, and this had to be the worst truck I've ever ridden in, very unsafe! The front passenger tire felt like it was bouncing when i accelerated over 45, steering wheel shaking, so i had to drive 45mph down the interstate in a 70mph zone, so unconvient!!! Very unsafeMarvin R.

The Truck we rented had a cracked wind shield and the Wind shield wipers were worn out. We only discovered the wind shield wipers were worn out when we reached Breezewood PA. Luckily it didn't rain on the way. Also I understand that associate that hooked up the trailer in Hampton couldn't help us load the car but he could of showed me how to attached the tire restraints. The vehicle needs maintenance. The steering is very loose and difficult to keep the vehicle straight and the ignition switch is defective - it is difficult to remove the key when shutting off the vehicle. Major fixes are needed on the UHaul App, which frequently locks-up when checking out a vehicle. I uploaded photos and could not advance to the next step. The two people at desk at 1023 W Mercury Blvd location had no idea how to handle a ubox in the system. I was picking up so I could unload my goods. I sat there for an hour until someone else came and helped. The only other issue I had was the recommended amount of uboxes was not accurate. Book 1 more than you think you'll need. The difficulty is in the design --- narrow labyrinthine hallways, low ceilings, limited access points, lack of carts, lack of elevators or lifts to the split-level units -- which made this facility very unwelcoming. The questions you ask above are not adequate for an accurate assessment of this facility. Although the facility was mostly clean and the staff was helpful, the set up of the facility is very poor. The limited number of access points, the narrow passageways, The small doors, the low ceiling, and the stairs required to climb make this a very undesirable storage facility. My only issue is that when the doors were changed, the new keys for the lock weren't mailed right away. I waited almost a year and then had to send a friend who lives locally to pick them up for me. The lack of communication regarding the keys was not what should have happened. Every time I called, someone who tell me that the keys haven't been mailed because they were waiting on people's updated addresses so all the keys could be mailed at once.
