Interact machine wasn't working (info had to be input manually), no ink in printer, had reserved one size trailer and had to rent a different size, the inside often trailer could have been swept out. The customer service was good though.RUNNINGWATER D.
Your equipment check in procedure needs some investigation. The first unit had a very obvious flat tire that should/would have been caught during a check-in. The second unit had a wiring problem with the running lights, again, this was a very obvious defect that would have be noticed during an equipment check-in.bradley T.

The check engine light was on when I first received it, and the guy I returned it to didn't seem concerned about it. It seems like something important to get resolved before more people rent the truck. Additionally, the tires didn't really seem to be very good winter tires, I would recommend equipping the trucks with better winter tires for Canadian winters.MICHAEL H.
We moved to a new storage center due to the constant blocking of access to our unit by trucks and trailers that had been returned by customers and not moved. Snow clearing of walkways and stairs was poor at best. Staff does not acknowledge customers standing in front of them and are generally disgruntled and not happy to assist. Both picking up and returning the van I was steered to use the self service online tools which were extremely confusing and ultimately I was unable to use. I'm 41 and never have a problem with technologyâ€¦ until today. Refilling the van to 3/8 a tank is a scam and impossible to gauge especially when the fuel gauge doesn't read correctly until after you've driven around for a while. Do better Uhaul! Also, please give me $10 back for the extra gas I pumped because of the slow fuel gauge.JOSEPH H.

The winter tires on my trailer were COMPLETELY BALD. I was getting stuck everywhere in the snow. I couldn't even make it to my destination because I got stuck on a very manageable hillâ€¦ the tires were just so bald that I was getting no traction in the snow. I had to be shovelled out TWICE. I was very disappointed with my rental vehicleâ€¦ I felt very unsafeâ€¦. And I won't be using a uhaul in the winter ever again. Nor will I recommend uhaul to anyone I know.ERICA K.

The truck was covered in Snow and the box was 1/2 full, with snow. The fuel Guage was showing the fuel level on Empty. We have had an excessive amount of snow here in Southern BC, and the pick up only has Rear Wheel Drive....not a great feature for Canadian Winter Driving!RANDOLPH P.

The truck I got had pretty bad tires for winter time and not much treads left and I almost got myself stuck different 4 times when just trying to move through regular snow conditions and roads that were not properly plowed but not at all hard in a regular car! I was in Kelowna helping a friend whom was in Calgary and all her furniture was in Kelowna. When we went to get the truck keys and Anne moher had paid for the truck blanket and movers when I and one of the guys who was loading it came to the office with me and they told us that the truck had not been paid for this ended up coasting and extra 2 hours for the guys to load the truck and the driver whom Anne had flown out 5 hours behind leaving Kelowna and coming to Calgary also the truck was at a 1/4 of a tank of fuel in it. I booked my uhaul online but that process didn't work and created a headache when I got to the location to pick it up. I did finally get a van to use, and the van was fine, but I was charged for two days when I only used the van for 4 hours, and I was also charged nearly double what the mileage amount was. When I brought this to the managers attention he emailed me to say that he would reimburse me for the overcharges, but never did. It was a terrible experience overall.John O.
Drop off was swift also,it pulled nice,good tires&the truck didn't even notice it,60$ deposit caught me off guard but was returned just as to when the trailer was&in exact condition overall good experience&I just recommend to do your own due diligence&take pics if needs be with a adequate walk around to insure no damages¬e it to them if there is any long before you hit the road saving yourself easily avoidable headaches in the long run,quick & easy...i recommend&don't forget to take into account there will be a refunded deposit so bring a little extra cash& your golden.ðŸ˜‰ ðŸ‘Wade C.

Guy that checked me in was not the worst to deal with but also not exactly trying for the best customer serviceâ€¦ pointed me in the wrong direction for the truck that I reserved and was basically just left to myself to find my own, also I was told that I would be getting a reimbursement for any km's that I didn't use, charged me for 30k in advance he said and I used about 10k, no reimbursement I was told on drop off.. told I would have to pay $2 a liter of fuel if I did not return at 1/4 tank, okay fine no problems but it was right under the 1/4 line, could have fueled it for about $4 dollars, but I never cause I was in a rush to move in my house, my fault, as they went and charged me $56 dollars for it, $26 dollars in fuel and a $30 dollar service charge for returning it that way.. which was also never mentioned at pick up!! So a local rental for around 4hrs that I thought was going to be around $50-60, ended up being $128.. robberyAARON C.

First time renting a uhaul- Mobile check in and truck share 24/7 are awesome and save so much time! When picking up the keys, there were people ahead of us renting a truck so I waited over 20 minutes just to have the keys handed to me. I also went earlier in the week to purchase a mattress bag and waited 40 minutes with 2 people ahead of me renting trucks. Overall though it was a great experience and in the end I saved a lot using an extended mileage rate for an "in town" move. I also called the call centre a few times and they were very professional and helpful.Tomasz M.

Your computer system crashed continually, there was some drama going on with the staff, and there were only two staff to help customers. It should not take an hour and forty-five minutes to pick up a trailer. I actually took longer to pick up the trailer than it took me to drive to an ikea warehouse, pick up my order, deliver it to my house and return the trailer to Uhaul. Price is the only reason I would ever use Uhaul againDOUGLAS B.
Assistant manager was standing outside smoking not helping the one person inside who was working on helping customers. The lady helping us was great but there were 10 people in line, I waited an hour to pick up the truck after arriving for my scheduled pick up time, and it was covered in ice and snow. I reserved online and had confirmation email and when I got to the location they said I wasn't scheduled properly and they didn't have a truck. Luckily She was able to find one that someone just returned and get me on my way But rude and unhelpful in the situation. When I moved into my storage unit the rental agent was unable to pull up my reservation despite the fact that he was reading the reservation number off an email from uhaul on my phone. Only solution was to rent me a bigger unit than I reserved and I had to pay the extra monthly fees for it. Also they made me buy a lock from them simply because they didn't like the one I had and said I couldn't use it on their locker. A couple of weeks into the rental I then got an email informing me that my monthly fees would be going up an additional $10 per month. To top it all off they don't list a phone number for the actual Kelowna location anywhere on their website so if you want to talk to someone at the office you literally have to drive all the way down there and do it in person. Access hours are unreasonable. Elavator in bad need of programming, doesnt stay open long enough. And is not set properly Level on second floor. I would think Hydrolic leak which is not properly fixed. Alarm's are not programmed properly. ( I go and open my locker, Close it and open again and Alarm goes off. Not Very Good at all. Alarms Go off all the time making it redudant, and useless. Nobody cares about alarms. They should be turned on only at night-time and a Security Officer should come not staff. Air Conditioning was not on at the srcond level making it unbearable this last week. And some of my antique Collection was littered with debris from maintenece cutting holes in the ceilling from leakage repairs. I have photo's to prove. The manager was very helpfull though. Lengthy line up due to only one staff member "present" at the desks, entry drive in door for loading was inoperable due to circumstances - which is fine - however this was not explained while at the desk - had to find alternate route on my own which ate up quite a bit of time. On day two of move in the elevator was down - which again is fine - however there is only one set of stairs that lead to the upstairs...??? No secondary elevator?? No second set of stairs? No estimate on when the repairs were going to be performed or completed. Furthermore, lots of individuals disregarding face masks - no staff to enforce mandatory mask guidelines. Lastly, they've so far charged me for my pre-authorized amount for my van rental, however, I used significantly less kilometers than I had estimated. They didn't walk us through how to sign in and sign out. There's no instructions or map. It took us 30 minutes to figure out how to get in, and another 30 mins to find the unit. Should put a floor layout map on each level.
