everything went well. i saw that sometimes uhaul runs out of vehicles so i made an early reservation to increase the chance that there would still be a rental for us. the woman at the counter was helpful, friendly, and got right down to business. we returned the uhaul with no issues either. i’d book from this location again if/when i move

Well, I would say nothing at the moment. My experience went smoother than I anticipated. Very good customer service, explained everything clearly. I couldn’t have asked for a smoother move of my belongings, as I was not looking forward to the move, but U-Haul made it easy.

This location is the best! Everyone here knows and does their job extremely well. Check out is very fast. When I returned my trailer at 7 am you would have thought it was a commercial. Everyone is great friendly and helpful.

This location is apparently the businest in town for local rentals...as much as I loved the service and workmanship, the staff understandably had to take care of rentals first so the installation probably took longer than at another location.

The truck I was given had 1/4 tank of gas in it.First thing that I had to do was put gas in it.Not sitting well with me!

I was in contact everyday extending my rental as the move took longer than expected. Sunday morning I told the store manager that I had been up all night working and that I had a full truck to unload. I said that if I did not return it that night that I would return it the following day. I unloaded the truck the following day. At approximately 4pm I took the truck to gas up before returning the truck. Before I could finish filling up the truck 5 police cars pulled up in front of the truck and officers came out of their vehicles with guns drawn at myself, my son, and 2 friends that were helping with the move. They told us to get on the ground on our stomachs and proceeded to handcuff everyone. I asked the officer what was going on and they said that the truck had been reported stolen. I said that there was a misunderstanding as it was not stolen and that I had rented the truck. After explaining this to the officer he let me call U-Haul and the person answering the phone asked me if I would like to extend my rental an additional day and did I want to rent storage space. The officer was quite appalled and told the other officers to uncuff everyone as this was not a criminal matter. The officer had me sign paperwork releasing the truck to me and I finished putting gas in the truck before returning it to the U-Haul location. This is unacceptable. Someone could have accidentally been shot and killed. My son and helpers were traumatized. U-Haul needs to change its policy and not report trucks stolen that they know are in the renters possession. They can charge the customer for an additional day if they return it late but it is not good business practice to report a truck stolen when in fact they know for certain that it has not been stolen. I have been renting trucks for decades from U-haul and I have had to extend my rental time on several occasions. I always had to pay for the extra days but never was the truck reported stolen.

This was an awful experience, do NOT pick up the U-Haul on the day you move because it is very likely that they will not have your equipment even though they confirm availability. I reserved a Uhaul and car transport in Stockton CA and upon arriving to Stockton, I found out that they did not have my truck available. Instead they sent me to Elk Grove to pick them up and on the way, they called me to tell me that the car transport would not be available in Elk Grove and sent me back to Stockton! This was one of the worst U-Haul experiences of my life

Feliza got us started. She is spectacular. She's knowledgeable, friendly, efficient and effective. She multitasks as if she were conducting an orchestra ; the symphony is our adroitly managed process and sendoff. Boy, if you could clone her you could manage ANY businesses. The night man for our 7PM check out was also excellent. Efficient with clear communication and friendly demeanor, he quickly dispatched us into a light drizzle. I didn't catch his name, but he is also an outstanding worker. "To Improve"? No need this is an excellent operation. --Jerry 3/29/24

Melody was friendly and efficient. She helped salvage a terrible scenario. She was able to get the trailer I needed processed and checked out to me in a quickly manner. I was helped in the lot with hook up and orientation. Moments later I was on the road, and I made it to my appointment.

Amisha was very professional and had great knowledge of your equipment.Our check out and return process was very thorough and helpful.The whole process for check out took approximately 12-15 minutes.The return process was 8-10minutes.I would highly recommend this location.

I gave the keys to the agent and she said she would check in my truck and asked if I needed a receipt. I told her just mail it to me. I ended up with car rentals on my bill I didn’t make. I am beyond disappointed and will never trust this location for my rental needs in the future. I am fighting the transactions through my card company.

Hold times are unreasonable. Instead of saying please hold a minute, without waiting for a response, say please hold, up to 30 minutes. You should probably evaluate the number of hangups due to the peak hours hold times.

I ordered a dolly with my truck reservation, but when I picked up the truck there was no dolly. I was upset because the man working was rude. Also, you should have not taken my order if you didn't have what I needed. I could have gone somewhere else.

While the staff and facilities here are great, I have misgivings about suggesting a rental vehicle from this location. Today, I was rented a truck for a one way 400 mile trip that had a retread tire affixed in a steering position. This tire failed at freeway speed on the 99S fwy halfway into my trip nearly costing me my life. I would have said that I trusted uHaul equipment but that is no longer true. If there is someone on staff that makes decisions like these, please ask them if they would have put their loved one into such a situation. I'm sad because I've always trusted uHaul and furious that I almost lost my life moving someone else's stuff. Waiting on a narrow shoulder for help that came quickly was nerve wracking as there was very little room to stop. I was grateful they came and serviced the damage within 90 minutes. It was hot and I was severely dehydrated. Lastly, uHaul asked me to tow a car tow which we considered but am glad we said no..The day would have been Much worse.

Staff is unprofessional, staff is unhelpful and everyone acts like they don’t know how to do anything they always need a different staff member or can’t find the radio to call another staff it was just a terrible experience overall and I never received my deposit back I never requested a check to be mailed to me I gave cash and came back to retrieve my cash and was given the run around just to be told someone closed my contract and requested that I be mailed a check which makes no sense and I never requested a check when I paid cash. When you call they don’t even ask you can you hold the just say that please hold and slam the phone back down and leave you waiting on hold for over 10-20 minutes and still to get no results or the answers you need and the staff does not help you find your U-Haul or assist you any type of way once they take your money. The woman is who works the swing/ closing shift is just terribly unprofessional and unsanitary. She curses to herself, says that’s not her job, makes you wait and does not assist you happily she was terrible and the dayshift staff is just ghetto on the phone telling me they didn’t make enough money yet to give me my deposit back just to be told the next day a check request was submitted on my behalf. I will never do business or suggest this location to anyone EVER

I have rented from u-haul for over 20 years and have never had any issues. Even with recent technology advances, the rental process was always smooth and easy. However, recently now u-haul requires one to snap a photo of yourself for their “facial recognition technology”. What? The clerks stated it was company policy and had to be done to rent the truck. I was renting the truck last minute and had I not needed it, I would have canceled my reservation. I am not in favor of any “facial recognition” anything and do not understand why if I’m at the counter in person renting the truck, I need to validate my drivers license with taking a photo of myself. I will not be a returning customer.

Only one issue- first time I returned to put more stuff into our unit 328 - there was a second lock on the unit placed there by uhaul staff - still first month which had been paid - no one could explain why the lock was on there and it took 30 plus minutes to get someone to remove the lock

Should have given a 5-star review but when booked this place it was given as a “one month free”, and check in date of May 12. But at the last moment received a call saying it is not free, and either I started paying immediately from May 9 (though I do not need it till May 12), or lose it. It was too late to find a alternative one so have to do whatever I was told to do.

I had homes people living in the units around me and most of the times I went to access there was garbage all over. Also most times I went over the last couple years cars were always blocking the gate due to lack of parking. Although I will say the day I emptied my locker out and closed out the facility was the cleanest I have ever seen the grounds.

My unit was always paid & within the short period I had my rental my lock was cut off & replaced on two different dates & I was never notified of these incidences and I had to find out on my own when I couldn't access my unit.

The customer service and online services are very poor. The only reason why I still use U-hual self storage and truck rentals is because there are no other comparable convenient options that offer the same services. I have had so many problems with the quality off service at multiple locations the absolute worst was from the management at the Mid-city Fresno location and the manager Tish at your Lodi, CA on Cherokee Lane.

Miscommunication between sales and the location about a free month using a storage space caused some difficulty and confusion that was completely unnecessary. I did not appreciate being put in the middle of a dispute between a local manager and uhaul corporate.
