When I arrived to return the U-Haul, an employee walks around the U-Haul 10' Van to spray around the van with a tire air compressor. He didn't ask me or communicate with me to see whether if I wanted to return the van. He later walked away to help another customer fill two of their propane tanks. Therefore, I understood that this customer was here first which I didn't mind. While working on the second propane tank, two more cars arrive lining up to get propane. While refilling the last tank for the first customer, he begins communicating with the 2nd propane tank customer in the second vehicle. I'm still sitting in my van because there's a sign that says to stop and park there to wait for an associate to check me out so I'm unsure what they talked about but after he finished up with the first customer, this employee skipped my turn and continued filling up the remaining two customers that pulled up behind the first customer. I had to get off the van to talk to an employee indoors twice. At some point in between the mentioned story, there was a supervisor that walked to my vehicle and asked if I were returning. I told him yes and he mentioned if you're just dropping off, you can leave the keys and we'll send you an email. I was a bit confused at this point because I didn't get a receipt, nor did anyone inspect the truck. What also bothered me was that I didn't remember giving U-Haul my email when I first rented the van. Therefore, a lot of things went wrong here. I couldn't leave without handling the situation properly so that's when I went inside the second time to get the employee indoors to help me out. Customers in this order: 1. First propane customer 2. Me (vehicle return) 3. Second propane customer 4. Third propane customer Need new supervisor or management. Very unsatisfactory. I spent a total of 45 minutes just to check-in a van.ERIC O.

The truck cab smelled so bad that we couldn't drive it without having the windows open. I was told the insurance would be $20 but I was charged $20 PER DAY. Overall, a bad experience.SARAH T.
The website is hard to navigate through, so I found it easier to go to the physical location of the facility and talk to the office employees. Of course, that works only if you are lucky enough to arrive at a time when there is not a line for waiting your turn. Doesn't seem to be enough staff at busy times. The first time I called and scheduled a truck, it was confirmed and received an email with the details, but soon after got a call from the location telling me there was a glitch and that there would be no truck available and they were cancelling the order. There was no offer for help to at least reschedule or to find me another location. I had to call back again and reschedule at another location. The staff at this Stockton location seemed good and helpful, however, I was provided a truck displaying less than empty of fuel. The fuel had been stolen the night prior. I was provided a discount due to this which helped. The truck's ride was extremely harsh to the point that I thought it would fail! Windows were not clean and the windshield wipers were not functional so wiping the front windshield was difficult. The return was quick and efficient.DANIEL P.

Make sure that the trucks are clean inside and out. There was food stuck inside the cupholders, dirty napkins and packets of Catsup on the floorboard, Windows were extremely dirty , lots of bug and bird poop on the truck!!
