Your phone walkthrough contactless option needs some work. Our vehicle wasn't out front. Took us almost 30 minutes of wasted time to finish the process. Employees could have been more helpful and thought ahead of what's right in front of them to help out their employees. Someone directed us to the back of the building for our truck so we had to drive all the way back there to find out we had to come back inside for the key to continue the process. Employee could of saved us the trouble by thinking ahead and telling us to come get our key inside before heading to the back. I complained to the staff working. He tried to make the excuse without knowing the situation that we had pressed the wrong button and it directed us to the next generated vehicle so it was our fault the truck was in back however that wasn't the case. Store location was awesome and communicative. Only issues I have is with U-Haul itself, I find it absolutely ridiculous that U-Haul charges you double for dropping off at a different location 50 miles away... instead of $450 you guys want to charge $900? That needs to change.JAKE T.

Check out the equipment. Everytime we hit a bump in the road, the lights would flicker. Also didn't receive the dolly. And the breaks on the trailer started to drag which ultimately blew up our transmission on our chevy tahoe. Everyone was very nice, but equipment was very dangerous.TERRI T.

This is incompetence on all levels. All Uhaul needs to do to get back to the roots of great customer service is not bully people who complained and not with hold their money which is theft. Moreover, not create red lines policies to demand a deposit when none was ever needed. I pray to God for you to get back on track. Great luck!Edward B.

My negative ratings are based on trying to schedule the u boxes delivery. It was very poor. I started on a Tuesday and finally got delivery on Saturday. I made numerous telephone calls and with your telephonesystem spent considerable time on hold. I was calling the telephone number on the receipt I received on my storage payment. You won't believe the procedures I was told. I even was given the phone number of a forklift driver. Fortunately the phone was answered by Kyle, a general manager, and he couldn't believe what I was being told. If I didn't get Kyle I believe I still won't have my uboxes. Kyle and a lady named Julie, I believe that was her name, took it upon themselves even though they had nothing to do with uboxes and finally got the boxes delivered. Very poor service.Raymond M.

I originally made my reservations at the downtown location, but due to a customer not bringing a truck back on time my reservation was moved to the 17 and McDowell location right away, and the Uhaul personnel were on top of it, so it was no problem at all. Great service all around.Kristan F.

We arrived from California to empty our storage unit only to find ALL of our furniture COVERED in a thick layer of dirt and dust due to their current construction. It scratched our wood furniture and our TV. Our couch was covered with the greasy dust and we had to pay a professional to come clean it for us before moving it into our new hone. When we asked if there was an compensation for the damage to our furniture we were told "No, sorry, it's just how it is." I asked for the manager to call me the next day and I was told that he would, but no one called. Customer service at time of pickup was really poor. Both employees were wearing earbuds and seemed bothered by our arrival. We rented a trailer for 24 hours, and she shorted us 20 minutes. We hadn't even connected the trailer yet and already had less than 24 hours until return deadline. Then she was really unclear about where we were supposed to move our vehicle. Your employees can make or break the experience. In this case, the employees weren't doing you any favors. On return, however, my husband interacted with a different employee and had a much better experience. Still, we won't be going back to this location.Jennifer M.

I will NEVER use the U-Box service again, and after this experience it is unlikely that I will even rent a truck from them again. The U-Boxes are TINY. I have a studio apartment and my things did not fit in the box. I had to order a second box to fit my things. The second box didn't ship with my 1st box (an error on U-Haul side). This caused major confusion because many agents couldn't pull up the 2 different contracts. I can't even count how many people I spoke with. There were a few customer service agents that I spoke with who were helpful, but overall this experience has been a nightmare. I called spoke to someone in the organization 20+ times. I would call and wait on hold for 20 minutes, I would explain my situation, they would say "okay let me look into this for you" and then cold transfer me, repeat this process multiple times per phone call. There were 4 different occasions that I was told a manager would call me back and they never did. There was rarely notes in the system so I had to explain myself over and over again. I asked for my calls to be pulled and reviewed 3 different times and they never were. U-Haul doesn't really communicate across different states and locations, so I was transferred and ran around constantly. I have told everyone who will listen DO NOT USE THE U-BOX SERVICE, pay the extra money and go somewhere reliable.treche F.

Manager was completely overwhelmed with to many people in line. I rent trailers frequently for 25 hours. He left during my contract and I never was told this trailer had to be back in 6 hours for the same price as if I rented like all the other times for 24 hours. So I ended up paying double even though I returned it we'll before what I have always been used to within 24 hours. When is asked upon return if trailer he was rude and told me u was absolutely wrong and he went through entire contract with me in person. I request you review the video of me checking out trailer. I will proceed with a really bad social media revue if this location if I do not receive a response by next Wednesday. A completely dissatisfied long time customer. This was the worst Uhaul location I've used. I knew I would need to get into my Uboxes before they were shipped, so I called the day before, as you're supposed to, and was assured that I could stop by with my items any time the next day. Instead, the dealership called me the next day to announce that they had decided to do maintenance on the warehouse and I would have to come before 4:00. Since I was, you know, in the middle of moving, I only got this message about 30 minutes before the cutoff, forcing me to suddenly drive to the other side of town, leaving behind a number of items that I needed to put in the box and could not yet, and massively disrupting my moving schedule. Staff was hard to find, pissy, and unhelpful when I arrived, and I had to repeatedly demand they let me access my box, despite barely making it before their sudden deadline. They whined that they had "been calling me all day" about this. (They had called me once, at noon.) I wound up having to throw out some belongings I had planned to ship but could not pack until later that afternoon. I've previously had great experiences with Uboxes, but not here.Britta A.
