The manager release my auto transport to someone else that wasn't me. Not only did they not verify the other person's ID, but they released them MY trailer and then charged my credit card for $1700. Not only did it cause significant always to moving, but I also lost the help that I hired to pack because I wasn't back to the house in time and I also had serious financial issues since the $1700 unauthorized charge hit my credit card keeping me from being able to get the trailer that I needed when I found one through a different, more reliable company. Absolutely unbelievable that they would release my reserved trailer and charge me $1700 because someone else had his wife come in and raise a fit because he refused to show uhaul his ID. U-haul should have never released the trailer to this man without ID and I should have never been charged for the trailer that he took.
Not sure they guys name but he was very nice and helpful.
This company charged me two times for my rental. Credited me the money but then took it back again. Im very .disappointed!
Staff were helpful
Trailer had two wooden pallets, a lot of shrink wrap & a crushed package of pork sausage in it. I should of checked inside trailer before I left, but wrongly assumed that Uhaul would check trailers out before renting them.
Have a mechanic check ALL equipment before renting.
I never received my dolly or furniture pads. And when I asked if I could be reimbursed for them, they never did it.
1. Your app did not work properly. I made the reservation using it and when I arrived it ultimately made me go inside to the counter. 2. The counter had a line of about 5 people and there was one seasoned rep and the other was not trained. When I got to the counter none of my reservation information was available. I had to give all the information again AND give my card information. I hadn't brought anything in with my because I had already done everything on the app and was suppose to be just picking up my equipment. So I go out to my car and come back and have to them wait additional time because now the rep is helping another customer. 3. Also worth noting that I asked to be able to upgrade my truck and was told that there weren't any of the type I wanted. When I parked however I saw many trucks that were available. 4. Fast forward to today, as I realized that there was a piece of furniture left in the truck. I called and spoke with Robert who told me after speaking with his manager Steve that if even though per your company's policy I was to be contacted immediately when the truck was looked over that I had left my property in the truck and I was not, since I did not contact the store about my property then they threw it away. I will be contacting Steve to discuss this further. I would like to get a copy of your security video to see what happened with my property. I also want to file a formal complaint with your company because per your policy I should have been contacted and I was not. I find fault with your company and it's employees for not adhering your policy.
Communication was horrible with this store. Never once told us when a payment was missed because we received a new card number until we went to move everything out.
I was more pleased with the location I had to change to due to prior users did not return truck than the original location. Not that the people weren't friendly at the Shell but that there seemed to be more people to assist me and the other customers at the same time. Everyone was friendly at both places and I was satisfied with the 10 cent discount due to location change. THANK YOU~I WOULD USE YOU ALL AGAIN AND RECOMMEND YOU AGAIN!
After purchasing insurance to ensure I would not have any exposure, I am told that since the incident was not a collision with another party no insurance applied. Furthermore, the towing is not covered. The tow company charge is 4,000 Uhaul then charges me 5,000.00. So not only am I not insured, Uhaul wants to mark up the towing a full 125 o/o to try to make 1,000 dollars. I cannot even begin to tell you how angry I am right now. Lower than low. I will never use this company again and will spread the word as wide as possible. What low life's!

Customer service was great, it was an inconvenience 45-minute drive both ways due to equipment not being at a near U-Haul location, and Dolly was at separate location.

The place is too busy. It really needs x2 or x3 more employees. They were so busy they forgot some blankets, to be fair, I did too. Also the app didnt work. I wanted to use the app because I know they are busy.
I had mouse poop everywhere and even found a couple roaches as we was removing our items. The after i did leave the unit i received many more emails that i was pass due. Which i wasn't very poorly ran location
experience was fine but the day I put the lock on the unit, there were no unit #s as the units had been painted. the rep assured the unit #s will be replaced quickly. hope that is so.
Everything went well. Well maybe you can have some handy persons around to go and help load the truck. Lol, just kidding.
This location great. Poor reservation department! Made reservations went to Monticello to pick up because they didn't have the unit I needed at Chesapeake location arrived in time and they didn't have one reserved for me. Had to drive to Raby rd to pick up there and got put back an hour behind moving.
I was 1 hour late with my return, I was charged for extra day. After using U-Haul consistently over 12 times a year For several years now I believe it's time to take my business elsewhere
Upon returning the truck, the associate Stephanie accused me of causing damage to the truck, which I didn't do the damage was obviously old. She kept saying she know I did it and that it will be charged to my card and I told her that I'm disputing it. She told me that I would only get the 20% if I paid it now. I repeatedly told her I didn't do it. I told her I had the insurance she said they didn't cover anything. Until she talked to her manager who told her everything was covered. Stephanie need to go to customer service training, she was very rude and unprofessional.
Only one person working which took over an hour to rent one trailer. this was not acceptable. I would be hard pressed to return.

1) Knowing a 25' truck is being rented for a one-way rental ahead of time, courtesy would've been to at least fill the tank up. Starting at a 1/4 tank forced me to immediately fuel up. 2) Never received confirmation call as stated in reservation. 3) Requested appliance dolly but was told at pickup, there were none available. No courtesy phone call was made to alert me to this, no attempt was made to have one made available.
On the tow dolly one of the ramps was jammed and I had to get some lubricant and a hammer to get it out.
MY UHAUL TIRE HAD A HOLE AND WAS PATCHED SO BIG I COULD HAVE DIED MOVING MY ITEMS THE TRUCK MY SMOKING

Do better checking out the equipment before it is rented. 2 different stores and both had tandem axle trailers that were "ready to use" with flat tires. 15 minutes on hold with UHaul then another 15 minute on hold with roadside service is BS!
The young that helped me was so busy playing on his phone, that he couldn't give me clear instructions on where to park the car transport. He was rude and very slow

One major thing that this location can do to improve for the customer is open on time. Another major thing is improve customer service, which was horrible.
Good customer service. Very accomodating. Had to change pickup time to store opening time. All went very well. Was in and out in less than 15 minutes. Return took less than 5 minutes. Great prices. Clean store and truck.
The people working there was very polite and professional. The cost was more than expected for just a few hours. The $19.95 A DAY was misleading with all the extra cost. High cost for mileage.
The only thing I would change is getting the key for a rental truck. The counter was busy with multiple customers which make getting the key not right away. I would suggest a lock box with a code, that can only be entered by the customer who is renting the truck. I don't have all the perticulars figured out, but something on that adjenda.

U-Haul, think about this the world is changing. If I can order a hamburger from a kiosk while standing in the store. maybe a Kiosk at U-Haul will allow customers to see what is available in real time as well. This will lesson the task for the clerks, may kill some time with less waiting around for the customer, only to hear "no we don't have it" when the kiosk had that info. Just saying,,,,The world is changing
Very quick and easy
Gave a lot of money renting out the unit but could not get a refund on unused days after paying the last months payment. Paid 08 AUG and closed the unit 26 AUG. Got $0.00 back. What a rip off.
Customer service rep was very helpful and accommodating. Only improvement would be around wearing masks. There was a masks required sign on the door and all of the employees were wearing masks, but a customer came in without one and was fully serviced besides me without being directed to leave or put a mask on. Nice place to go cause they are very convent. Trucks and storage is very clean. Daughter is getting ready to move and she is going U-Haul....happy with U-Haul...🤗🤗🤗🤗😊😊
Both representatives that assisted me were more than helpful. They both provided over the top exceptional service. I really appreciated all the assistance they provided with excellent professionalism.
Steve the manager was so grateful to help me with the time I was with Uhaul. I went back on my agreement and failed to pay as agreed. So, I thank him for how he allowed me to continue and not auction my storage off.
The only thing I didn't like was that I autopayed and I was only there three days and they wouldn't give me a refund for the rest of the month knowing that they will rent the same space the next day and will be paid twice for the same month
I was first directed to Monticello location. Elevator was not working! Staff worked diligently to find a location on Raby Rd. Staff at both locations were professional, courteous and very helpful.

I was contacted by 3 separate people all telling me different things about the delivery of my uboxes. Scheduling delivery was difficult because they only do windows, not exact times.

Great place. Staff is great especially the lady that helped me. She was very friendly and helpful. I came in last minute trying to get stuff done and she was very accommodating.
I rented two U Boxes.The woman who delivered and picked up the boxes was prompt, skilled with the machinery, pleasant, professional and truly enjoyed her job. She provided excellent customer service.

Only downside was the call center who picked up the call when I thought I was being answered by the actual store. The lady misinformed me, and I had to make a wasted trip to the office.
We had some issues with the Ubox service from the beginning. A lack of communication from your team, 2 hours spent on the phone. Multiple different answer from ever staff member. It was exhausting.
Excellent communication when both dropping off and picking up pod. Was timely in retrieving the pod after it was filled and emptied.

Everything went well with Grace and Yolanda, but when we hit an issue and I had to speak with Jackie Graham I was disappointed by her communication and lack of compassion and lack of service.
