The Uhaul experience as a whole was awful. I didn't even find a place to move yet but I took my items and place them in another storage facility because I refuse to give uhaul another penny. They inconvenience me twice before I even place my items on site they couldn't find my ubox and did not care at all. They put my ubox up before I even finished packing it because there store did not have the orange covers to go on them (not my fault) so I had to take off of work to pack my ubox for a second day. Then the day (8/17/2021) I went to remove my items I talk to the uhaul customer rep and I told her I would like for my box to be pulled by 830am when I arrived around 11am they still had not pull my box down and I had to wait another 30 minutes for them to pull it, Major inconvenience. I was told I had until 645pm to get my items out the ubox then they would be putting it back in the warehouse. The girl in the store asked me if I could let her know when I was finished and I agreed. I did about 3 trips back in forth in my car then decided to stop and wait a few until some friends got off to help me move the big items. I returned about 5-515pm and they had yet again put my box up. Not just inconvenience me this time but the people who took time out their day to help and the associate had the nerve to ask me if I could come back tomorrow I couldn't believe it. I was told I had until 6:45pm to remove my things and then was asked if I could let them know when I was leaving. It wasn't 6:45pm nor did I let them know I was finished so I was not sure why they took it upon themselves to return it to the storage then try to act like I'm inconveniencing them because I want my items. I will never recommend U-Haul the Ubox is definitely a good ideal but the U-Haul company sucks. At $106.00 definitely not worth all the loops you got to jump through.Shanell G.

We dropped off the truck, took a picture of the instructions on the door to return on line. Went home, started the procedure for returning the truck. Realized we had to go back to the location, so we did. We had dropped the keys and locked the truck so we couldn't take the necessary pictures, so it would not allow us to return on line. After an hour, we gave up. NOT EVERYBODY is computer savvy and can do that. We, I guess are one of those people.BARRYLEE D.

It's nothing to do with the location, but uhaul as a whole needs to revamp their check in/out procedures. During my pickup I needed to input a contact that uhaul can reach out to. I gave my wife's phone number and then got a message saying she didn't answer and I have to start my whole check out process on the app again. I was easily 10 minutes into the check out. Needless to say I will not be using the pointless app anymore. I still had to go inside and get the keys!Luke C.

I am being charged for a storage room I do not have. I have called this Virginia location directly. I have called go uhaul 800 number. I was told someone would call me back on both numbers. I have not been called. It is the second month that I have had to call about charges that need to be reversed. I wait on hold for hour and get no where. Frustrated.Debra S.

U-Haul has the absolute worst customer service. This whole rental experience was terrible. The manager damaged the u-box and broke the trailer. Didn't realize it until we filled the box. Had to wait several hours for a new box to be delivered so we could unload and reload our items. Made a formal complaint with U-Haul corporate office and was promised a phone call within 3 days from the manager. No call. Not surprised. Before our next rent was due we picked up boxes and returned them empty. Was charged for another month even though we no longer have the boxes any longer.Leeanne P.

The Raby Road store was my emergency backup. I reserved the trailer initially at the BP station on 22nd street 2 weeks prior to the date I needed it. I saw the trailer sitting at BP the entire 2 weeks. 3 hours prior to my scheduled pickup time, the trailer was rented and then not returned in time for my pickup. In fact, it was not returned at all. I had to scramble to find another trailer on my own. The BP was no help. This screw up on your part caused me great stress and significant lost time for the entire weekend. Honestly probably some of the worst customers service I’ve had. I wait for an hour and a half for him to help put a lock on my unit the lock he didn’t tell me I had to by when I came in 10am that morning as well as he didn’t give me the lock to lock up our truck. I had to come in a second time to get everything I needed and waited over an hour for something as simple as lock. I called earlier in the day to see if it was okay to park our uhaul there overnight which he agreed we got there and he gave us a spot then walked away came back two minutes later and said actually don’t park here they’ll steal parts off the truck and told us to park at Walmart even though he parked us surrounded by trucks and we called ahead to approve. End up being late to work when there was a 2 hour window; didn’t have anything I needed for the units; as well as the guy just being unhelpfulJADEIYANA B. | First Impressions

Your customer service agents were cool under pressure. there was a lot of issues with the computer system and a lot of reservations weren't showing up but your customer service agents handled all of the frustrations from the customers very well. It was good to see that the cooler mines prevailed. There were at least 10 people in line in front of me and each person seem to have an issue with their reservation but your agents remain professional and courteous and sincerely apologetic for the inconvenience . well done!!Dwayne C.

Item was on back order. I was told the night before my appointment and no sooner. I was told I would be called that week, never got a call. I had to continue calling back for over a month before I heard anything. Eventually they told me I cancelled it (I did not) and they had the part for a week. No call no voicemail. Then when I scheduled the appointment they said it would take an hour. It took three. This was the worst experience I've ever had.Michelle R.
