The equipment was bad, it was load then 1/2 thru the trip either the muffler popped or got a hole , something happened and i had to drive 800 miles with this truck sounding like a tank and me breathing carbon Dioxide. instead of finishing my trip i had to stop and get a room for the night because the carbon was making me dangerously tireddennis S.

Friendly staff! The truck I rented was not in great shape. It was difficult to drive because the steering wheel wanted to turn 1/3 of the way in order to drive straight. The instructions to find the truck were not clear but once I stepped outside a worker saw that I was lost and helped me.Angela C.

George was excellent as I was having a lighting issue for the trailer rental and he went above and beyond to try to help me get my issue resolved; when James found out what was going on, James was fantastic to help find a solution and fix the lighting harness issue and get my lighting to work correctly so I could leave with the trailer the same day. Upon receiving the truck I noticed the check engine light was on, this is the second time I've been given a vehicle with some type of light illuminated (low tire pressure or check engine light) I was told that the the vehicle was ok just that they didn't have a technician to make the correct adjustment. Service here at this location is great. We had a 15' truck that was overall great and worked really well. In the bed of van there seemed to be grease of some kind layered on the floor. Maybe cooking oil or something similar. This wasn't discovered until we started moving things into the truck. It made moving and shifting things harder than it should. Some areas you could stand still and start sliding to one side or another. That being said it was no big deal. My wife decided to inform the manager Carlos just to ensure one of the employees or another renter wouldn't fall or hurt themselves. Carlos was nothing short of fantastic. We weren't looking for anything or really complaining but Carlos was adamant that it was unacceptable. He gave us a small discount on the rate for the inconvenience. It's the little things like this that will have me coming back and letting my friends know this is the spot to use. Give Carlos a raise. He loves his job. He's good at it and cares. Original drop off place Metro Express storage 2729 Hereford St Saint Louis, Missouri this place I don't recommend. Couldn't get a hold of anyone to return trailer. Gated and no one available during closed hours, no Iinfo. After waiting an hour on 800# and no contact finally a employee of metro storage arrived. Told me that he had no room for trailer and I had to go over to Kingshighway. Couldn't supply address or no other info and was very rude. They should have made contact with me prior to drop off day to alter location. He states I was going to call this morning. 1 hour later then my time was set for return. Zero star, Aweful experience. And not happy with having to wait for an hour and still no contact with U-Haul 800. App is not user friendly.Dawn G.
11am reservation. Arrived on time with two people already waiting at my house to load the truck. I begged them to let me just grab the trailer and leave, but they made me wait in a line of people... TWENTY people, with two staff members working inside. It took two extra hours just to get to the register. No, we'll never use that location again. I originally was scheduled for pickup at another location; but was forced to changed due to sudden sheriff not on that location. I called Kingshighway location and they told me to call to ask for transfer to their location and they they had all of the equipment that I needed and accommodated me beautifully on the spot with no advance notice. I was able to get my vehicle right away. Online check-in is clunky, some features are not working, and the whole process still needs to be worked out. It was complicated to navigate the online check-in and when I did go through it, the truck that was shown on the page was actually already rented (online system was not up to date) so I still had to go finish my check-in with an associate in the store. Additionally, the feature on the website to add an authorized driver was not working either, which made my moving process less efficient.Sunny P.

My reservation was from 9:30 to 1:30. We were there at 9:20. We did not get the truck until 10:46. I was charged from 9:30 as if I had t he truck. I was in line at the office for an hour. My opinion is that hour doesn't count towards the truck rental. I paid it. Moving is exhausting and I didn't and don't feel like going back and forth with uhaul over the principle . Other than that . My office manager learned that we have two accounts. One under the shop landline and the other under my mobile number. The Uhaul portal doesn't allow me to merge accounts. When I attempted to add the landline number to the account using my mobile, there is no option to receive 2-factor authentication by email, only text. Is there a way to merge accounts to make this process less cumbersome for pulling history? Thanks.William T.

When I arrived to the U-Haul location they had a line out the door and only one person behind the counter even though there were plenty of workers. I needed a tow dolly for my car and all of them were broken. I was waiting for over 2 hours before they told me they needed more time to fix the dolly and to come back later. I reluctantly said yes and left. When I came back 4 hours later, they still hadn't fixed the tow dolly. I continued to wait for another 2 hours before they hooked up the dolly. And their â€œfixâ€ was to put duct tape to hold the left tail light in place. Absolutely ridiculous. I will never recommend this place again. It was genuinely one of the worst experiences of my life. Every worker acted like they didn't care and never tried to speed up this process for me. I ended up wasting almost 5 HOURS at this U-Haul location. I will tell everyone I know to avoid this location like the Plague. Incredibly disappointing.Adam W.

I had one of the best customer experiences ever! Greeted upon entry, short wait, positive and atmosphere. Jerrica was very personable which made communication pleasant and easy. They were also patient and reassuring when I misunderstood something on the reservation and made sure I got what needed. I was sent a text message to pick up the equipment (a 10 foot UHaul) at north ridge road. After arriving there, I was told that that location was closed on Sundays and the text message I was sent was a mistake. I couldn't get through the phone lines to speak to a live human being. My Lyft driver drove me to a new UHaul location, the new one being on Kingshighway. There, Yolanda helped me and expressed concern as to why I was sent to the location on north ridge because it no longer operates. Yolanda was an actual angel on the earth. She said the Kingshighway location had no 10 foot trucks available, so she gave me a 15 foot truck for the price of a 10 foot truck. She gave me truck 4900 but it was blocked in by truck 1673, so the manager just gave me truck 1673. After I got home and opened the truck, about 500,000 bugs flew out and were crawling all around. There were mosquitos, moths, bed bugs, ants, and roaches. I drove truck 1673 back to Kingshighway and exchanged it for a new truck. George inspected the new truck himself. Unfortunately I do not remember the truck number that I was given. It was a beyond eventful day that the truck number slipped my mind. Loading, driving, and unloading the UHaul went fine. I dropped off the UHaul at the Montgomery Highway location in Vestavia Hills, Alabama, at 10:30am on July 13.Reed M.

I had reserved a truck and auto transport for this location, but was informed later by presumably the national office that I would need to pick up the truck at another location 5 miles away which I could not find. There was a lot with trucks, but no office at the building address. I gave up and went back to the original location where they had a truck available. TIP - don't change the reservation on the customer and notify them the day before,. It was absolute chaos and apparently unnecessary. Rhonda at the1641 Kingshwy location calmed me down and professionally checked me in and got me on my way. She saved the day. Thank you.Mark M.

My unit was burglarized while I was overseas, apparently along with several other units, but I was never notified and only discovered upon return that roughly half of my belongings had been stolen. I purchased insurance on this unit, but even if I should receive the full insurance payment, it won’t be enough to replace all the stolen appliances. The lady who helped me was great. She gave me her full and undefined attention even though they had a lot going on. The first unit I reserved the door would not latch so I had to get the next size storage unit. The next unit had 2 locks on it so unfortunately I was not able to have that unit. I did not like the second floor the lights did not turn on and it look like all the storage units was old and dirty. The staff at this storage facility were all helpful, and made move in day as easy as possible despite my circumstances. However, the building is a little outdated, and the elevators are very small. The staff here tried their best to find a new solution for us, but ultimately the moving crew that I hired had to carry my 2-piece sectional up 6 flights of stairs, which caused my moving cost to be much more expensive than I had planned (and hard labor for the movers). ** If you have large pieces to store I would suggest a facility with a freight elevator. ** Aside from the elevator size, I would recommend this facility, overall a clean and secure center.Rachel J. | First Impressions
