When I first received this uhaul I went back into the store and asked if I was supposed to get a clean uhaul or a dirty one. At which point one of the staff members came outside and proceeded to clean it. Sprayed and wiped down the SEATS and nothing else. The uhaul looked like it hadn't been cleaned in years. Absolutely disgusting. I've sent pictures to prove it. Ashes, coffee and juice stains, bug guts on the wind shield which I could barely see through. I was not impressed. In today's world living with covid the number one is to clean and sanitize. If I catch covid because I was in this disgusting uhaul, working in the Healthcare profession, I'll be sending you a bill. Please get your shit together. Paying $200 for something like this is NOT acceptable ðŸ˜’SASHA LEIGH R.

The key wasn't where the app said it would be, and the clerk who accepted the return didn't check it in until the next day and I was overcharged. I contacted customer service, and they said they were unable to issue my refund. I am now waiting for the manager of the rental location to get back to me, though I'm told this could take days. Trailer has one ramp lock seized that opened on hwy on my up to destination, strap for wheel attachment were seized we took 30 min to fix them. Jack for front or trailer was also seized with rust had to use my jack to take it off. Was stuck on side of hwy for 2.5 hrs with a rusted out axle that broke off the trailer to get a replacement trailer with a flat tire, staff had no tools and had to use mine. all this in a very dangerous situation risking my and my dad life. There was zero maintenance done on equipment and some rust check spray once in while would a save a lot of trouble.MARC D.
My request was to have auhaul truck in shediac, n.b. But I was informed that i had to drive to moncton to acquire a truck. I asked for your company to take one truck from moncto to the shedia store, I was told that you do not supply that service. Your compay had ample trucks in moncton and could send one down to shediac. I did not apppreciate the gesture. I had to have another person follow me in moncton to pick-up the truck and also return your truck. In future you could help peaple out and accomodate them.PAUL B.

I have rented 3 vehicles from you within the last few years and the most annoying thing is that the vehicles had to be fueled twice because they were not fully fueled. They were around a third or quarter full. On moving day the last thing a person has time for is chasing around looking for gas stations and having to leave the key in the ignition in the run position to see when the fuel gage gets to the level in which it was when you picked it up . The vehicles should be fully fueled then all you have to worry about is refilling it before returning at the end of your day . Thanks other than that I think uhaul provides an invaluable service. I accidentally locked my key in the truck. I called U Haul roadside and they informed me that U Haul drop off centres are not able to unlock or retrieve keys from vehicles. I find this a poor company policy. The roadside assistance wanted $175 to get the keys back. This is highway robbery! They informed me I could use a local company and they retrieved the keys for $40. It's not about making enoumerous amout of money it's about keeping the customers happy and coming back. I think U Haul should look into this price gouging for locked keys?ROGER A.
When i made the reservation around 5 days before pickup, the rep told me the total would be 817.80( taxes in). When i when to pick up the truck the total was different. It was 817.80 plus tax! The truck received had dirty seats and dirty cup holders. I had to clean them myself as they were really disgusting.Joe M.
The building environment and staff were excellent. The major issue with the service is that access hours were surprisingly, and in my mind arbitrarily, limited to 7pm. This makes no sense to me, and since I couldn't always get there by that time, if I can't get at my stuff *at my convenience* then the service was not meeting my needs. Have bilingual staff on hand during customer service hours, nobody there could speak French when I returned the van. Yes I do speak English but I would have preferred to be served in my mother tongue. -Booked online with my name and address and also asked for insurance. When I showed up in person they used the address on my ID that I told them wasn't current and told them not to use it. Every message I got after that had the incorrect address despite repeated attempts to change it. -Didn't apply the insurance fee for some time, then my bill suddenly increased, and changed by dollars for awhile. -Entered incorrect information for my second contact -Alarm went off a number of times despite the fact that I was signed in -Received a phone call about a commercial shipment that had arrived for me (I did not have a business account, was expecting no such shipment, and was completely baffled). The caller left a message (my voice mail has my name) and when I returned the call they insisted at least once it was my shipment. I have no idea how they even got my number for it. -Was not informed about the switch to entry cards instead of a password. -Rodent deterrent didn't seem effective - there were a lot of mouse droppings (no food in storage room). -Rented a van and an appliance dolly to move - photos of van for damage were old, key wasn't with the van like it was supposed to be, van was not moved to the area it was supposed to be in, and dolly was not with it. Employees corrected it quickly when I reported it, which was great. But maybe if this site isn't going to pay attention to details and promises from online reservations, perhaps they shouldn't offer them at this location? I never knew what was going on, and the employees never seemed to know either. I gave up trying to contact them as things wouldn't get changed, people would be surprised I didn't know the thing they didn't tell me, and everyone was often unapologetic about errors. My storage locker was broken into, and the staff did almost nothing except call me. No apology or money back or offer to move units, even though the fencing in my unit was completely crushed in at the top. Another employee saw the damage as well and didn’t do anything. My furniture smells now! Not sure how long it'll take to air everything out until the musty smell is gone. Thankfully we only had our stuff there for a month. The musty smell hits you as soon as you open the door to the indoor storage units. My security card was not set up properly and I keep getting told my access was denied. I returned in the evening to try find out what was happening. The young guy working was quite rude. Did not want to give me a free month even though I had booked it that way online and the manager had approved it earlier in the day. Finally agreed after an employee that was there in the morning as well told him I was telling the truth. When he looked into why I didn't have access he discovered that the person in the morning didn't actually properly set up the card. They had done it as though I moved out instead of moved in. The company I work for booked a locker - with credit card payment. I went to access the locker and no one could find the booking - the reference number was not found - even though I had email confirmation. Luckily there was another 10x10 locker so I booked it myself. While I was there - waiting in line to be served - there were at least 4 other people who were trying to get trucks - they booked on line and had confirmation - but their trucks were no longer available. One lady was moving to BC / had to load up her house that day. She was in tears! Everything seemed soooooo disorganized - booking were lost - not available - it was chaos!!!! The staff were calm and good but it was crazy with people screaming and unhappy. You need to look at your system to tighten up inventory and demand. We had a locker for 6 months. Every time we needed access to our lock, we had to get our access code reset. No one could tell us why, or know how to fix it. When I first booked my uhaul, the lady was rude. After arriving to Mtn Road, the young gentleman made up for it- he was very helpful. And when I checked out, the young girl was polite and efficient. But in between check in/out was not great. Door on unit would not stay open, was never fixed when asked. I requested a smaller unit months ago and was never provided any follow up to advise if one came available. When I failed to lock my unit properly, the staff put a large sticker on the unit advising everyone who walked by my door was open but failed to email or call me directly to go fix my lock. When Covid caused a lock down in Moncton for a few weeks, and only essential people could go into Moncton, UHaul manager Corey refused to honor an extension equivilent so I could get my unit cleaned out, instead causing me to pay another full month. Yes, he did give an extra three days so I could have the opportunity to rush into Moncton as soon as the city reopened. But those three days did not give me back a weekend. And even now, masks mandatory, there were people in and out without masks, loitering in front of door without mask, and no entrance/exot set up going into lockers to minimize crossover of traffic. Both units had U-Haul locks already on them spoke with rep before going to unit due to code received via email was not active was given code and confirmed both units and number however was not informed of the locks being placed on the units . The storage facility alarm was incorrectly going off every 5-10 mins while we were there - how does the staff deal with that every day?! The check in/check out process took way too long. We were waiting in line for almost 20 mins to speak to an agent, then another 20 mins to rent the locker. Same when we were checking out - what a waste of 40 mins when we had so much to do! The automatic door didn't work (we had to pry open a door every time you want to go in or out of the facility). We did rent a truck to move out of the storage locker. The uhaul truck we rented was given to us its an empty tank (no gas - we had to stop and fuel up after moving and packing all day - this was the icing on the crap cake we had to deal with all day and just beyond annoying) The staff were fantastic, and really went above and beyond, but based on the other inconveniences, cannot give a higher rating. Staff is awesome, Uhaul needs to understand moving and storing is frustrating and needs to speed up the check in/check out process.Cherie N. | Overall Experience

Checking in was very frustrating. Our truck and storage was booked 3 weeks in advance and when we got there they did not have the size unit we booked or the floor level we were told they booked for us. They did agree, after me pushing for it, to give us 2 units for the cost of our unit we had booked. When we go up to the units, one is avail the other has a lock on it, so back down, lineup again to make this right. Cory served me this time and was amazing, he walked me to the unit showed me how to access the storage after hours basically went thru everything, which none of it was done by the first guy....it is a great facility but very unorganized. When we checked in, the staff was very helpful, the first month was free because we had rented uhaul equipment to move across Canada. When we booked the unit on the phone we were told it was 5x7, but upon arrival we were told that size was not an option at this facility. We were also told the price was 89.95 but the 5x10 unit we took was 129.95. We spoke to someone who told us he would honour the 89.95 price. We would also suggest to do something to make the yard less congested near the entry door to make it easier to get turned around to back in for loading / unloading.james h. | First Impressions
