My experience was wrong from the moment I entered this facility. The truck was very dirty along with severe visual effects dents and rips in the metal, inside the truck contained a horrible smell along with a torn visor and someone's prior order containing personal information. The staff clearly needs customer service training. But that was mot the worst of it all. There was one young lady who was very angry and bothered by me asking questions about the process which included me renting a storage and was unable to relay to me the process she rather order me now so this and now do this step by step like I am 12 years old and talked me me very disrespectful like calling â€œlook Honeyâ€ in a sarcastic way. Pretty terrible experience overall. I reserved an appliance dolly specifically for this move, and none were available when I arrived. That should be called out on the website ahead of time, otherwise I would not have rented the van. Personnel was not helpful and downright rude at times. Very little direction was given on what was needed. All that was said was click the message link and fill out the website link. The application link didn't pull up the camera properly. I asked for help and the head outside person (who was not wearing a mask) wouldn't provide help to me. I've been to this location before, but doubt I'll return after this experience.TIMOTHY K.

This location seemed more of a local hangout for friends. Employees were swearing and joking around over the walkie talkies. The fuel was totally wrong on the paperwork ( which unfortunately I didn't notice until I was already gone). There were bundles of pads I never used that were still sealed in the plastic bags and they refused to reimburse me for the ones I did not use, when at other locations I've been to it was policy that any pads that did not get used you could get reimbursed for them. Overall the customer service at this location was really sub par, and I will be choosing a better location in the future!Kenneth T.
I've been a customer for over 20yrs Recently I went to rent a cargo van I was unable to do so , due to the fact that I don't have a major credit card , it is my choice not to carry one. I had to have my husband rent it for me. I understand there have been thefts of pick-up trucks and vans but that should be be put on the customer. I was wrongly charged twice, I was charged twice for gas when it wasn't full when I got it. called 1800 number 3 times. On my third call the gentleman I talked to told me nothing was showing on my account. No claim was submitted, the second call rep told me someone was going to call me after they do the investigation. When receiving my rental, my truck was facing the entrance of the lot. As a truck was trying to squeeze between my rental and another customers vehicle, I had an older White man start to talk shit as if it was my fault my van was placed in the wrong direction. I insisted this White man change his tone if he was going to talk to me, and he continued to berate me. I told him to fuck off and went on my way. He as not in the lot when I got back to drop my rental off, but I do want to note the horrible behavior of a person who I believe was some type of employee, unless he was acting out of pocket. Second experience was the worst customer service I have had in my life. I ordered a trailer fir pickup. It took almost an hour on the website to get the reservation to go through. The locations the website gave me that were close to where I needed to pick it up did not have a trailer. This info did not come up until the end after I had entered most of my personal info. When the system finally let me book a reservation I got a text at five in the morning telling me the pickup location had moved to a location over an hour from where I needed the trailer. Broken right side passenger mirror made is very unsafe to merge in traffic on the hwy. ignition key wouldn't turn, making it difficult to start. Approx 3 miles out onto the trip I received a text message with a link to uhaul to agree/disagree with the conditon of the rental. The rental had old parking paperwork from a previous customer on the dashboard, the coffee cup holders were filthy, and there was scattered debris and dirt in the back of the truck. I rented that truck to pick up a large 3-D sculpture and a 200 year old table from an auction house. Luckily I brought plastic sheeting to lay on the floor to protect my purhases. The uhaul also had a moving dolley in the back (I did not order this). The yardman was good enough to remove it before we left the site, so I hope that I am not charged for this as I did not request it. If you are going to move away from paperless condition check lists, kindly send this electromic communication before I leave the lot and not when attempting to navigate I95 to the Mass Pike I90.David R.

The young lady at the desk was pleasant and helpful. Although the much needed dolly I reserved a week prior wasn't available, I couldn't get upset with her. Out in the yard was another story. No clear indication of who actually works there and after figuring that out, none of them should be working with the public. The guy that I felt I may have inconvenienced for showing me to my truck, said he needed to â€œsweep it out first.â€ When I walked around the truck, a pile of food wrappers and filthy clothes were on the ground outside the back door. If I was to bend over and smell those clothes, I bet they smelt just as foul as the back of the beat up truck I was about to drive away in. Was I renting someone's home?!? There was damage to the truck that wasn't in the photos I was told to use for my inspection but was told â€œdon't worry about that, it's already has an X.â€ Huh?! So I had To take the time to document all that before I could get on with my busy day of moving. Then I hop In this beater, supposed to be 1/4 of a tank of gas but there was under an 1/8.... but I was told to return with over 1/4 or I'll get a fee. WTF? Gas light came on before I got a mile down the street. Ok... now I'll stop and get gas before my busy day of moving. Oh, the engine light was on, the windshield wiper worked when they wanted (it snowed/rained all day FYI) and I thought I was going to break the handle trying to roll the window up it was so dry. Hi, The girl at the desk was untrained and very stressed out. We have a room already. We wanted an empty room right across from ours. It has a green tag and a green lock. The girl insisted that a green lock meant the room was not available. I have been coming here for years. Red tag + second lock = renter behind on rent, no tag + 1 lock = normal room already rented, green tag + green lock = room available to rent. She refused to rent to us. She kept asking what size room we wanted. We said the exact room number. She kept saying it was not available. I said look me up on the computer. She insisted that a second room was a separate account. (What business would do that?) She gave me a form to fill out. It was in Spanish. She was very agitated and would not make eye contact. I said a green lock means it is available. She said a green lock means there is a problem with the room. The girl at the other station said she could help us. She looked me up in the computer and we completed the rental for the exact room I wanted with no problem. The first girl was standing on her chair yelling at people to get back in line. The poor girl needs training in the details of U-Haul rentals, and in customer relations. Had I net persisted, you would have lost a rental. Later, I was sent a PDF copy of my contract. I have reserved a 15' truck more than a month ago and only two hours before the moving, they told me there is only 10' available at that location and it's without any dollies. I asked for three in my original reservation. My other option is to drive to another location that is 22 miles away. My entire move was only about 10 miles from the location I selected. As I went with a smaller truck, the movers I hired had an issue with loading all of my stuff and I have to pay way extra time for them trying to disassemble my furniture to make them fit into that tiny 10' truck. This is completely unacceptable! Another thing with the 10' truck was the front light was falling off and if we got caught by any police, we will be in trouble.ZHEFENG L.

Had two speakers stolen after leaving them unattended (my fault) for 5 min. The manager states that the vid camera wasn’t working and that there weren't any people/cars around and didn’t see anything. This statement leads me to believe he didn’t bother checking the video, because the place was super crowded (mass exodus from Boston), lots of people and cars were in and out while we were there. He didn’t bother to check. (It was too busy for him to check right after it happened - too many people at the counter. He wasn’t able to check the video when I asked him about it right after it happened. They were SLAMMED with people trying to store there stuff and get out of Boston (Covid). So when I followed up with pictures of the exact location the speakers weee stolen, etc. he said there was no one around that day and the cameras didn’t show anyone.) While my storage unit was well secured and the staff was super helpful, when I emptied out my unit I found that mice had been living in it. I found mice fecal matter all around and on/in my stuff, and several of my books were damaged because mice got into my boxes and chewed on them. I did not have any food in my storage unit. The Manager Ed was pleasant, accommodating and a true believer in customer satisfaction! I felt valued s a consumer as a result of the way in which I was treated by Ed the manager. Your system was down. The customer service person behind the desk (young man with a beard) took forever to register us. The young lady working next to him served 2 or 3 groups of customers in the time it took him to serve us. We waited 25-30 minutes to check out a rental van and register for a storage space. The attendant did not speak clearly and proceeded to eat his breakfast in front of us while we patiently waited for him to finish. Then after waiting that long, he hand wrote some scribbled info on a half sheet of paper, tore it off and handed it to use so we could be on our way. Not once did he apologize for the lengthy delay or thank us for our business. My experience with previous rentals at other locations has been fine. This was incredibly poor. So, this was a convenient option for quick storage. The manager specifically does a great job taking care of lots of people and employees, not all of whom are always in great moods.
