I rented a ten foot truck, had it for an hour and a half and drove it for 9 total miles. I was charged 100 bucks because I didn’t replace the half gallon of gas that I used. I knew I would have to pay for it but they add high fees and crazy extra charges. I figured there would be some inflated per gallon charge and since I hardly drove it wouldn’t be bad but lesson learned they nail you! Watch the hidden charges!!!!

I had to moved Couch from Mattapan to Haverhill. It took me 2 1/2 hours. I saw the sign $19.95 and I said that a great deal. Well after I turn the truck in I end up paid $160.00. I don’t think I will be using U Haul again.

Maintenance on the vehicles your company is making millions on. I rented a 15 truck and it was really bad. The brakes worked but did not feel adequate. The vehicle needs an alignment. The truck was all over the place while driving where then I had to take a longer route just to be safe which meant, more money to uhaul while my safety was at risk. I’m going to file a formal complaint.

I requested a dolly to move boxes and it wasn’t in the truck. After I moved I told the people at the uhaul location that the dolly wasn’t there I want the money you charged me for the dolly back and they said “you can do it online yourself” Not great service. She could have just done it right there.

So I brought a strap to hold something down in the flatbed i rented I was told I could return the item by one associate. When I dropped the truck off I went inside to return the item the associate said you cant return it rolled her eyes after I said that's not what the associate said. The woman next to her asked who was it she a name but I intervened and told them the correct information a different associate told me I could return it. They both said "oh she's in training" there's nothing I can do for you. I explained to her that we couldnt even figure out how to use the item correctly I asked for a manager and the associate called the manager on the walkie he stated over the walkie she can try to return it all she want but I can't take it back. Now I'm upset. Neither associate or manager tried to help in the situation so I walked outside to talk to the manager where I'm confronted by another associate yeah he's busy he will be with you in a moment. Now I'm really getting pissed. The manager walks over let me see it he looks at the plastic like the plastic is the actual equipment calls me honey now I'm very angry I start yelling because i feel like he doesnt want to help me at all he just wants me out his face. Then he tells me "I cant sell that" ok so damage it out. Now I'm angry for a couple of reasons never in all the years I have worked retail would I ever do this to a customer if my associate have the wrong information apologize for the wrong information take the item back as a courtesy explain the policy to me show me the policy which its not written anywhere in the uhaul location because the manager said "it doesnt have to be written" I will never use uhaul again. Tone and Attitude help me make this decision

When I picked up the truck, there was a lock on the latch of the rear door. I did not receive a key to unlock this, and during the inspection of the vehicle, nobody brought this issue to my attention. I realized the issue when I reached the destination where I was loading the truck. After I called the Mass Ave. office, a U-Haul employee drove out and removed the lock. I appreciate that U-Haul drove out and fixed the issue, but this should have never occurred. Had i not noticed the problem while still near he pick-up location, this could have caused a major disruption to my travel plans. Also, whomever drove out to remove the lock never called to say they had arrived and removed the lock, so for the duration of the trip, I was unable to lock and secure the valuables in the truck. This lack of simple communication created a risky and stressful move. I'm hesitant to use or recommend this pick-up location in the future.
