They were crazy busy but tried to be attentive. They needed a second cashier which was not attended to. However everyone was super nice and kept apologizing for the issues. It took way longer than it should have some could have been controlled some not.

It took me over an hour to check in for my storage locker and none of the attendants knew what they were doing or what was going on. Very disappointing.

Long wait to return truck and had to switch lines multiple times because of miscommunication

It was a bad experience. I got there and I was told to pick up the trailer. After that, they put insurance on the contract and I told the attendant I did not want the insurance he told me to call them and let them know. I was not able to talk to the rental place. I returned the trailer the next day and they gave me a receipt for 51 dollars. Then I got an e-mail saying that I owe $251.93. They wrote I had rented the trailer from 6/15 through 6/20. My credit card was charged 251.93. I try to contact the rental place, they transfer me to customer service I waited for a long time every time I try to call. I am disputing the charges now with my credit card. I don't want the insurance charge, I did not want when I completed my rental online. Deceiving practicings from that facility. Worse experience with Uhual rental ever.

I along with 45 other people waited in line for 2 hours. A notice would've helped. More staff would have helped. A warning of some kind, but mainly you charged me starting at a time and I didn't get my Vehicle for 2 hours after that. Not okay.

the owner/manager was terrible, yelling at employees when customers were within eye and earshot. He then wouldn't open up another register line even though there was a massive line. Everything took forever, which put us well behind schedule for our move. Then of course, they screw up the bill and bill me for 5 days when I returned the trailer the same day. All-in-all, a miserable experience

The man who checked the truck in was a liar and he wasted two hours of my life. I’ll be calling about him today.

Stop over charging people I was charged a cleaning fee and the van wasn’t even dirty

I got my van at 18:22, and I chose 2hours, but my due hour is 20:00. When I returned my van at 20:30, they charged me two period fee. Not reasonable.

We waited two hours in line for our truck. I would like to suggest customers who reserve on line should have a different line to wait or have express service. Also you need more than two or three staff members assisting customers, especially on the weekends. There was a message on the truck that stated low air pressure in tire. One of your staff members said it was alright. I hope I don't get charged for that. Thank you

Make a point to check the headlights; for the truck I rented, the passenger side headlight was out. Part of my travels were at night and the reduced visibility (especially when it was raining) made the drive more stressful.

Employees are wonderful and helpful, and hopefully that's who you have to deal with. If something goes wrong, and it did this time, local and national management is evasive and slow. I was overcharged by over $100 from this location, found out two days after I returned the van, and spent 2.5 hours on the phone over 7 calls over two weeks to finally receive a $90 refund. I was promised five times that management would contact me regarding the issue, and received zero calls. I didn't even receive notice of the partial refund. If you want a truck, go to the Somerville or Brighton locations, not this one.

NOT a reflection of this location: U-haul is generally a very efficiently run service, and my past experiences have been excellent all around. This time I had a few frustrations dealing with the national center and automated, dumbed down, lowest common denominator systems rather than local people. I made a reservation 9 months in advance anticipating a Memorial Day weekend rush. About a month prior I tried to change my pickup time by 2 hours - couldn't do it online so I called and sat on hold for 20 minutes. Alteration was made and I was told pickup location could be confirmed one week prior and was given a direct number to the "scheduling department". One week prior, scheduling department said they couldn't tell me until 24 hours prior. Four days out I got a confirmation pickup would be at a distant location - very inconvenient. Another phone call, on hold for 30 minutes, and I was able to arrange pickup at a more convenient location. Went to pick up truck and the original rate I was quoted 9 months prior (all records of which had disappeared - strategically not included in email correspondences, only in "my account") had mysteriously doubled. I questioned this and after way too much fussing it was corrected. Truck was great, service at both locations fine. No receipt though, "it'll be emailed to you". So I have no paper trail and I'm trusting that the automated systems will bill me properly. Didn't happen as the amount on my credit card was higher than it should have been. Another call and 30 minute hold...can the operator pull up an itemized billing? Does it exist in my secure u-haul account? No. She has to order it. Are you kidding? This is unacceptable - have we all turned into dupes who don't bother to check or care about what we are billed for things? I for one will never be that ultimate customer for a cheating company. This is unacceptable. And again, this is absolutely NOT a reflection of the fine people on the front lines, it is corporate greed and over simplification which makes for poor service from the company. In an effort to overly automate and streamline processing, there were glitches... and correcting them is a nightmare - should never be so hard. Truly a shame - u-haul used to be one of my favorite consumer experiences but that has been tarnished.
