The truck was clean, but suspension was in poor condition and rattled like crazy. The oil light came on about 30 minutes after we left store. We checked the oil level and it was fine. This truck has seen better days and should not have been rented at full price. Upon our return, the attendants were nonchalant at best. Not sure I would go to this location again.

Uhaul overcharges and commits deceptive practices. Apparently math is difficult for Uhaul. I drove the van 31 miles stopped to refill the used gas (31 miles @ 10mpg is 3 gal). returned the van and was subsequently charged $29.25 for 9 gal of gas. Equivalent to 3mpg (less the 3 gal I replaced or basically 2mpg). A quick internet search regarding fuel consumption on the used box van determines this type of vehicle averages 10 -12 mpg. This is usury, fraud and breach of contact.

This was the worse moving experience we have ever had. Pods were very small and had to get 2 extra pods to handle our items. Pods were 3 hours late arriving due to UHaul's gate on property being broke. This move was from TX to SC and we had to hire movers to work after hours to help pack pods. Mover's that Uhaul recommended were understaffed on both ends and required us to assist causing back issues for us. Pod delivery was reschedule 4 times by UHaul, causing us to make additional temporary housing plans. Furniture was delivered ruined or broken. Boxes crushed and half open. Our white sectional had grease and asphalt marks all over it. Two Temperpedic beds are still missing legs and cables to power and sync up. Had to get couch professionally cleaned and furniture repair man to fix bent metal legs plus chest of drawers rebuilt due to being dropped. Still missing boxes and some items were broken during move. All boxes were labeled for either storage or house location, however, all boxes were mixed up between pods. UHaul called us several times asking if we dropped off all pods then finally found them in their system and pushed our delivery time back 30 days! Now they are sending us bills from all over the country to pay for a storage unit we don't have and never signed up for. AVOID UHAUL! They are the worse. Go with PODS or move company that has reputable employees, not contract ppl that do not know how to professionally move your valuables. Customer Service is horrible and there is no consistency to get a reliable answer. The wait time on the phone to speak with a CSA is over an hour! Is that really what you want to pay for? NEVER AGAIN UHaul!

Original pick up was in Grapevine. They did not have the trailer nor could they get in touch with the person they rented it to. Sent me to the Harry Hines location. The guys at the Grapevine location told me I would receive a $50.00 credit for the inconvenience when they called the Harry Hines location. That did not happen. The guy at the counter was on his phone and was not very helpful and said the $50.00 would be credited which is not what the guys in Grapevine told me. The Harry Hines location was unorganized and after check out I stood outside the door as instructed but nobody helped me. I had to go find someone to tell me where the trailer was. They also did not have furniture dollys so I had to go to a 3rd UHAUL store in Carrollton which they did not have dollys either. So what should have been an easy pick up close to my home turned into me driving all over to get the things I needed. What is the point in a reservation if it will not be available?

The evening crew when I picked up the car dolly were horrible. They installed a dolly where a light didn't work. He installed it and left so I had to put the car up and attach it all myself. That's when I noticed the light not working. Took me 10 minutes to even find someone to help me get a new dolly. And even after I let them know, it took them 30 minutes to exchange it even though there were 8 just sitting there. The guy was riding around in a bike and talking with other employees while I waited to get the dolly installed. I had a 14hr drive ahead of me and this is not how I expected it to start. Extremely unprofessional. I will say that the morning crew was great at this location. I was in and out in 10 minutes picking up the truck.

The employees were rude and I asked them to check me in and he said do it with your phone. I explained that the employee (I showed) said for me to go inside and complete it or you will be charged 20 or 25 I don't remember the except amount. The 2nd employee told me that I had to scan a barcode at this location. I then said where is the location bar code. He did not know. Then he said scan thee bar code on the door. I said really three of the numbers are not legible. He then walked over and said I'll just check you in. He could have done this from the get go. My daughter said I am videotaping it and said let's leave if the employee doesn't know how to help or where the location bar code is and will fight the 20 or 25 fees. When he heard tis came over and checked us in. It was A VERY BAD situation that didn't have to happen. I asked my daughter to go on line and rate as an F as in failure to help a senior customer. I will NEVER, EVER visit that U-Haul site.

Trailer had trash inside. Employees were not engaged or enthusiastic. This was my second location for pickup after the first trailer had faulty wiring. No acknowledgement of this inconvenience and made me go through the entire process again, poor service

The 10 foot box-truck would serve best, and safely handle better with the dually setup for the rear. The drive proved to be unstable, therefore longer.

Tried to use the app to return the truck on time last night. Locator at the site was not working and it would not accept. I called the Customer service line said open 24/7 was on hold 25 minutes and no answer. Called the GM cell number on the wall . He did not answer either and now Uhaul is overcharging me 147.00 for a 3 hour truck rental. I did take pictures of everything as directed and put the keys in the night drop box. very unhappy with the uhaul system.

Please do away with the return equipment app. It's so inconvenient. I liked it better when you could drop off the key. Will go somewhere else for uhaul rentals. I was charge $20 because I couldn't finish loading pictures because my phone died from moving all day. So it was concerned as bringing equipment back the next day. Just another was of taking your money.

Is was not clear where to go on the lot to return a trailer when you enter the site and it took a while before someone even acknowledged I was there and gave me some directions. Appeared to be a bit understaffed because it really wasn't very busy, but I had a hard time getting anyone's attention.

THE DELIVERY WAS FINE BUT THE RETURN OF THE PODS WAS NOT. IT ALSO TOOK THEM FOREVER TO PICK UP THE PODS AFTER WE EMPTIED THEM. IT JUST SEEMS LIKE THIS PROCESS IS MISSING SOME MAJOR -ORGANIZATIONAL SKILLSETS. THE DRIVER WAS AMAZING BUT THE CUSTOMER SERVICE SKILLS WAS NOT SATISFACTORY. The rental pick-up location was unable to locate my U-Box container and did not make me aware of this problem until I arrived for the scheduled pick-up. And it took several back-and-forth conversations with staff and the GM at the location to get clarity about the actual issue that was preventing me from accessing my belongings as planned. It was highly inconvenient as I had made arrangements to transport the container to/from my home and also arranged for people to help me unload the contents of the container. Based on their errors, I didn't receive the box until 24+ hours after my scheduled pick-up time, which resulted in lost productivity during a hectic move to a new home. Overall, I am very dissatisfied with the service provided and most importantly the poor communication and lack of responsibility taken by the U-Haul location.

Major issues with the truck. It was missing the ramp and the hardware to which the trailer safety chains were to connect. Learned the truck had been previously stolen and recovered. Not a good unit to rent out.

On a some what stressful day (such as moving) the last thing you need is someone to be rude and she was so nice and sweet.. great start to a stressful day! I've rented from U-Haul a lot and she was the nicest person I have ever dealt with in your company! Will definitely come to this location for all my needs in the future.

I was very happy with the service provided by this U-Haul location. Someone assisted with connecting the trailer to my truck and showing me the proper connection as this was the first time I had pulled a trailer. When inspecting the connections it was determined that the turn signals were not operating on the trailer and the employee continued to fix it by replacing the appropriate fuse under the truck hood. I felt like he went out of his way and we were good to go.

This is our second time going to this location, and both times the staff has been SO helpful and friendly. We will drive 30 minutes to pick up and drop off future u-hauls from them because we have had such great service experiences here!

**most of the staff was friendly and helpful on the above question, not all. I have created a “case ticket” (?) with customer service, I forgot what y'all call it. I was supposed to have been contacted within 72 hours, just like a lot of things we're supposed to have happened, but I haven't been contacted yet to discuss. From start to finish the experience was frustrating. I look forward to hearing from someone soon to hopefully make things right.

Had a reservation for a U-Haul scheduled for 1:30. Arrived at the location 5 minutes early to begin the process of getting the keys. I was told that the customer who has the van I reserved was supposed to have brought it back by 1:30. About 40 minutes go by, and the employees decide to call the customer and ask when he would be bringing the truck in. After this phone call, it took an additional 10 minutes before the van arrived. I didn't get my van until an hour after my reservation time.

I think they need to hire more staff. When I arrived I went in asked the older white male for assistance with the auto transport to take my car off (that’s what I was told to do from Chantilly location), he advised to get in my car and someone will be over to guide me down. Here is where I had the issue I advised him that I couldn’t get in because the things were blocking the doors, he said they come off just pop them off or something to that sort. I said i don’t know how and I was not there when U-Haul put it together. He then rolled his eyes and shook his head as if I worked for U-Haul and I knew what he was talking about. At that point Jesse just came and told me I can help you ma’am (thank goodness). He then guides me off I advised him I’m waiting on movers where can I move truck he told me at the storage unit. Well they have not giving me one yet so no access. He then told me to pull over to the right. I waited in the truck until he can move the auto transport for maybe 5 to 10 minutes because I could not back up with it there. I got out and asked when he was moving it he told me it would be a while and just leave my truck there. I go inside speak with Barbara (very nice) she calls the young lady to show me the units. The one I selected had a big helium tank in there. She advised by the time I get back it would be moved. Well i came back the tank was right outside my unit actually in the way. However my movers moved everything in. We closed the door had a little struggle but we got it closed. Went to open it back up and it would only lift half way. Just realizing after unloading that the unit door was broken. I went and spoke with Barbara Advised her it was broken and when shut the top right side is kinda open. She then said she would get one of the men to look at it. I had to go because It was almost 3 o’clock at that moment I had been there since 12p with all the waiting and going back and forth. She then advises me to come in tomorrow and my stuff would be fine because they have cameras everywhere. This was a very stressful experience. We had just driven 20 plus hours came in expecting everything to go seamlessly and it did not.

Despite several phone calls to the actual facility to double check , all my calls were siphoned off to main Your customer service dept phone line - they know nothing about the individual facilites , booked the wrong size storage unit and AND told me That as long as I arrived before closing ( moving from four hours away ) that my movers could unload my 26 ft truck That night. What a mess!! When I arrived well before closing , was to we were Not able to unload , didnt have a correct size unit booked there, finally got a couple of units secured for unloading in the morning , after the booking mixup - but when we arrived ! They had no air conditioning!! In texas!! Though that had always been my request - Air conditioned unit - One unit had holes in the wall - Apparently all they had available to fix the problems I will never, ever ever use your facilities again - It was a complete nightmare experience and my stuff is now storage in the heat and cold - Your customer service people do not! Know what they are doing and this centralized phone system is truly a nightmare !

I emptied my storage 2 weeks ago they never call to check n see if it was I who empty it or if I still was to use it. Other uhaul location do.

Most of this survey does not apply. I did not go to the facility. Unlike my pick-up location, NW Hwy were flaky. They stood me up twice for delivery, were disorganized, and even overcharged me.

Booked my u-box and the day it shipped they changed the guaranteed date by 6 days later. Allied and talked to 6 people. Got to no answer as to why. Went to pick it up. It wasn’t there. At diff place.

I needed to setup a payment plan to pay off the charges occurred while I was in jail. You denied me the payment plan and sold my property that was in the van. Nice way to treat a Vet.
