The staff at this location is HORRIBLE. Maria in specific needs to be retrained on customer service because she lacks professionalism in the workplace. They legitimately are on their personal phone as they are assisting customers, which shows how much they care for my business. If it wasn’t for my pod being sent to this location I would have my storage somewhere else. I got there 30 minutes prior to opening and wasn’t able to fully access my unit until quarter till 10 (this location opens at 9) because though I had made an appointment to come the following morning to empty my pod and move my things into storage I still had to wait an additional 10 minutes to get the previous lock taken off. The store opens on the weekend with ONE person and a line backed up with over 10 people waiting. There’s employees that spend more time flirting with you then relaying information. I came back the following Day ready to move my things out of the pod into my permanent storage ñ only to find out that the storage unit required a specific lock, one that I did not possess. Thankfully for Abraham and Tony I was able to move my things in to the storage after having numerous incidents that were affecting my entry all which were on the fault of the staff members, miscommunication, and lack of professionalism. Again thank you to TONY and ABRAHAM they were the ONLY TWO there that were genuinely concerned and wanted to assure that I had everything in order.

My unit was destroyed by mice. My belongings were chewed up and covered with mice droppings and urine, and when I talk to the office and put in the complaint I was told I’d be contacted and never heard back from anyone at the company.

Customer service yielded 5 different responses when I spoke to 5 different people, so that was frustrating and annoying, But the 500 Peters street location in Atlanta is a NIGHTMARE!!! The retrieval and drop off of my Ubox was delayed until I contacted Corporate (Steven in customer service) who offered a different excuse than Abraham (Peters st. manager) gave the movers and their boss at the local Moving Help. Once my Ubox arrived, I removed my padlock, but there were 2 bolts that kept the box closed. The movers had no tools, so I had to drive to a store and buy a tool so the movers could open it. There was no ramp, causing the movers unnecessary heavy lifting. The Peter street location has a long standing bad reputation for years, and Corporate needs to intervene before you lose more customers. I hope to NEVER use Uhaul again because of the Nightmare at Peters Street.

Got assaulted by an employee that goes by ‘Q’ Harassed to the point of fearing for my life, called the police and had to reload my truck and get my money back for the storage unit and leave. The employee grabbed my personal belongings and started taking them off my dolly that I had chosen to use and then took the dolly because he wanted to use the one I had. He got inside my truck, bucking up on me telling me he was going to beat me up 4 against 1 because i was alone and he was with 3 other girls. NEVER WOULD RECOMMEND THAT LOCATION TO A SINGLE SOUL. That manager and employee should be fired.

The wait for check in was not too long and the woman at the counter was great. The U-Haul I rented had not been cleaned and smelled like smoke. A staff member did real quick spray cleaner all over and dumped the ashes out of the ashtray.

The van I was initially assigned was dirty outside, inside the cab area, and the cargo area was wet. I was given a different van after I saw that. I was surprised that it was not checked before being rented.

The young ladies that checked me in and out were very pleasant and professional but the young man that brought the truck to me was very rude and unprofessional! His mode and body language was as if he didn't want to be there and his attention was on his phone when I was trying to ask questions, but besides that it was very quick and easy going because I reserved the truck online!

If you look at my first pickup location, 4 way Auto, or something like that on Murphy Ave., they were totally unacceptable the place was locked up and nobody there, they should be taken off your list. You had to find me another location, which disrupted my schedule, time is of the essence in most situations. Thanks

Answer your phone. I tried calling with simple store specific questions that weren't on the site and your corporate customer service did not have a known answer. They also tried calling the store on my behalf and no one answered. Over several attempts over multiple days -- no one will ever answer this phone. If you're low on staff consider hiring someone to sit in the store to just answer the phone to help with store specific questions. Seriously. You might as well not list your phone number if you have it set up to not audibly ring so no one ever answers it. Otherwise the staff was nice and very helpful in person.

I made a reservation for a pickup truck. I called the morning of my pickup date and told that there was no pickups available. I had to ask for a cargo van. I th6 that she should have suggested it. Also, I rented a hand truck she didn't tell me where to get it I had to ask her where to go to get it. I think she should havetook the lead and gave me directions. That particular employee need more training. Especially on suggestive. Selling.

The first location we had a truck reserved from (226 Flat Shoals Ave SE, Atlanta, GA 30316) was a horrendous experience. The 10am virtual pick up didnt work. We were told to come back when it opened at 11. We did and noone was there, the our account said we'd already been virtually checked in but didnt provide a code. Spoke to someone in corporate scheduling who was WONDERFUL. This 300 Peters location was great. Wish we would've started here. You need you improve or just remove underperformaning, unprofessional locations like 226 flat shoals. They hurt your brand.

This experience was terrible. I reserved a uhaul at the 14th street location and had a confirmation on my phone stating that was where it would be. I even rearranged my moving day based on the availability of the van online. I NEVER received a text that was supposedly sent the day before the pick up changing the location to Peters Street. I arrived to the 14th street location at 7am and had a very tight schedule for the day. I was even lead to the "view the online check out process video" that I watched for the 14th street location as I was aware they were not open. After calling and realizing that we had to go to the peters street location, we were already an hour behind on a very tight schedule for the day. The man at the Peters Street location was incredibly helpful and the experience there was great, but the rest of the experience was awful The website totes how easy, efficient and seamless the process would be and it was completely the opposite. I would never recommend this online process again. I will be looking into Penske and Budget for future rentals. This was awful!

This was the best experience I've had at this location in 6 years. Maybe be/c it wasn't overly crowded and there was truck availability last minute. Either way, the young lady at the desk was quick, efficient and friendly. No attitude or not slow moving. She was smiling (through her mask), making jokes and friendly.

I asked for a dolly when I placed my reservation, I don't know since the location for pick up had to be changed did my reservation request not get filled but I was charged for a dolly I never received. I actually had to purchase one from Home Depot. So not only did I pay for a rental for nothing, I also paid for a missing dolly I never got in the first place.

This facility seemed like it was in a kind of shady location for an out of towner. The staff was absolutely amazing!! Kenyun took great care of us inside and was keeping the outside guys inline and timely! Abraham and Dennis were the first two to help us. Abraham was training Dennis as a new employee. Abraham seemed patient with us and with Dennis, explained what he was doing step by step and guided Dennis to hooking up the trailer to our car. The blinkers and hazards didn't work with our initial connection. They connected a different trailer and tried that out. At some point, Aqurdis arrived to work and jumped in to help! Aqurdis was more than accommodating! We initially couldn't find our connector for the lights and he directed us inside to buy what we needed. When that didn't work he told us it was a fuse with our vehicle. He was not only able to direct us to the exact fuse we needed to replace, he was able to direct us to a near by auto store that should be helpful. We went to the auto store, which wasn't helpful, but we found the converter we already owned for our car. Upon our return to U-haul Aqurdis and Dennis rushed over to give it another try with our connector and we had success. As if this wasn't helpful enough, we returned inside and Kenyun was willing and helpful with returning the unused connector. Everyone was so kind and helpful. Not only that my sister informed me that she was inside while a group of people were arriving to work and Kenyun spoke to each of them, by name, and welcomed each one to work! It was also nice to see a group of people who were kind to their customers, kind to one another and were knowledgeable about their products and services! This is a great facility to spotlight for others to learn from!

During my two previous rentals, after arranging a quick pick up using the phone app or computer, the staff at Peters street were unable to find keys to the vehicle assigned to me or to other vehicles blocking it in, resulting in a slow transaction. This time it was easy and very fast.

Fund this place bc it was an inside venue. My vacuum sealed packages had mold, lost half of my belongings to rat pee and poop and my lock looked tampered with and just overall frustrated.

Drop off location was near my unload destination - in a high traffic Atlanta location intimidating for me though not for my Atlanta dwelling grandson. Whereas personnel were polite and pleasant and did unhook the 6' x 12 ' trailer, they expected ME to back it up into parking space AND I CANNOT BACK UP A TRAILER. Fortunately my grandson was able to do so. Perhaps the more suburban Campbellton Road locations would have worked better for a 77- year-old grandmother. Overall - 1973 to present, numerous cross country and regional moves, definitely prefer UHaul - both trucks and trailers.

Our truck got stuck in a damp/grassy area of the property where we were moving some items. After calling and reporting the problem to customer service - a wrecker was dispatched but could not remove the truck. After calling customer service again, I was told that I would be responsible for having the truck moved. Another wrecker service was dispatched and moved the truck. Puzzled and very disappointed, I had to pay for the 2nd wrecker service. I don't feel that I should have had to cover the cost of that expense.

I had to change vans 3times. The first one had pet hair all over the furniture.(I'm allergic) the second one's doors were badly damaged and weren't opening properly and were not marked. the third one's side mirrors were spider cracked and couldn't view. The worst part is the female representative was annoyed for wanting to change vans.

This was the most horrible truck rental experience I've ever had. The car had broken side mirrors, low tire pressure, check engine light on, it was entirely dangerous to drive. I got stranded and had to call road side assistance to help me which took several hours. In the end Uhaul said they would not charge me any extra fees considering it was their fault for not properly inspecting the vehicle. The Peter St location then proceeded to double charge my whole rental making a quick in town rental come out to almost $200. Please save yourself the headache and go to a different location.

Employee was eating breakfast in my truck before I picked it up. Meaning he was in the truck for a period of time with no mask - and he left his trash in the truck. The truck was not very well cleaned I'm sure was not wiped down/sanitized. From what I could tell no employees were wearing masks and were not attempting to socially distance.

Make sure the truck isn't on empty. Have the mileage on the truck match what's in the system. The truck was already pretty damaged and with both mirrors being broken before I got it and it wasn't very clean inside the drivers cabin or the back of the truck. The only thing slightly redeeming this from being a poor review was that the staff was kind and helpful at making the best of the poor truck situation.

Where to start? First, Nobody was wearing a mask, the only one with a mask, had it down around his throat. After asked to scan my ID... the female agent, by her own admission, forgot I was even there, and moved one to assist somebody else. I'll spare you... but after a very long while, another agent dispatched me an inventory not wasnt even Available at the location. After several attempts by the supervisor, the issue still wasnt resolved, after another long wait... i was dispatch a truck with unreported and undisclosed battery issues... needless to say, the truck's battery died in the middle of my driveway, needing for road assistance, who wasnt available for hours. Hours later, after being on hold for an eternity, being hung up on by an agent on the phone, all that I was able to achieve was being reissued a different truck so that could complete my move, hours behind my schedule. I've had Mild to bad experiences with U-Haul truck rental in the past, but this one takes the prize as HORRIBLE all around!! God help me, never needing an U-Haul rental again, because it will be my very last option from now on!

Please ensure that the main access elevator is always working. I experienced one visit where it was not working, and had a terrible time moving my items. This was back at the beginning of December.

Many, many equipment issues with the Elevator system throughout the facility. Access cards don't work, the elevators don't work, the gates don't work. People were nice, but had to bug them to help with equipment issues not their fault. Not worth the hassle. FYI, both incoming and outgoing movers hired, all had past experiences of equal frustration regarding the facility.

Your system seems to be top notch but there are a few glaring problems. I had a lot of questions and it seemed like i was alway on hold in Phoenix for a long time. I tried to get a hitch installed and the hitch did not arrive in time even though I had ordered it 2 weeks in advance. The local usual dealer did not seem aware or concerned that i was renting a trailer the next day. It sometime seemed like the local people on the ground didn’t really know what was going on. The system seem to be run from a central location and none of the downstream people were aware of the big picture.

The Building is very old and full of rodents . I had to trash about one half of my belongings. Shared mice drippings and then roaches with Mr. Oday and 2 staff members named Tiffany. Everyone was kind and helpful giving me mice killer and roach spray.

When closing our unit, the staff had locked us out saying our payment was overdue, when in fact our balance was zero as we were on autopay. When we notified office staff, they were apologetic and asked a team member to unlock the unit. No one had the lock for the key that Uhaul placed on our unit, and we sat for two hours outside of our locked storage unit waiting to empty it’s contents, until someone finally found the right key. No one accepted responsibility and everyone blamed one another. No sense of urgency to fix the problem that was caused by Uhaul was in place by the employees, and we had to keep coming down every 20 minutes to ask for an update. Only one staff member at the front desk was friendly and actively trying to solve our problem, and apologetic on behalf of the company.

I moved into a unit for no more than a month, a week or two to be exact. I told the person on staff at the moment that I was vacating the unit and called back to reconfirm and that everything was taken care of, that was August 2019. Here we are in 2020 they are send emails, letters and phone calls about a storage until that I left a year ago. Even calling to the property directly and speaking with whoever the acting anything is for the day is, I get no luck. In the past in other cities I have used U-Haul but after dealing with this and not being able to get this matter taken care of, I will no longer patronage a business who communication skills is anything less than professional and accessible.

Need more help i had to wait to long the young lady at the front desk was doing the best she can she just needed more help and plus I had to wait on the man to take the lock off did you meet and it was about 30 minutes before he did that then I had to wait outdoors in the heat for a good little minute for them to check me back in with the U-Haul truck

Though staff eventually answered questions and resolved issues, my overall experience with the customer service here was poor. I was there Friday, Saturday and Sunday - two out of three days my experience was severely lacking or an inconvenience to my move out from my apartment. On Friday the manager was rude and impatient in communication with me. First, he seemed frustrated because he couldn’t hear me through my mask, then he got an attitude while gesturing for me to hand him my card, despite the card machine being within my reach. There was simply a better way for a employee to talk to a customer, let alone Black man talk to a Black woman, or human being to a human being. On Saturday morning, there were so many people in line that we were there for an hour which delayed our move. Saturday evening when I arrived to move my stuff in, we had a delay with the elevator and finding our unit because some of the lights were out. We also stumbled upon a leak in the ceiling. When we found it, my units door was broken and there was stuff still inside. The staff member transferred me to another unit which still had a lock on it. She then showed us some other units with issues such as they had roach motels in them or weren’t climate controlled. She did inform us ahead of time of the latter. All out of her control but clearly the system needs to be updated with accurate info. We had been up and down the elevators 5 times already with heavy furniture and she informed us that the building was about to shut down and lock us in so we gave up and tried to get a refund. The machine wouldn’t not issue the refund despite her attempts. She was nice enough to extend the truck rental. Sunday, the manager did end up canceling our contract and refunding the money which I appreciate but I was already soured on my experiencia. He was slightly more polite on Sunday but again, first impressions are lasting. Won’t be doing business here in the future and still waiting for the money to hit my account.

Both of my storage spaces were riddled with rat droppings. Even after I spoke to them about it, there was no changes and up until the time that I cleaned it, it remained with rat drippings. Worst of all, when I cleaned it out, there was a dead rat in my storage that had decomposed and maggets were everywhere. In fact, I had to throw out some of my clothing as a result of it.

Self entitled Mgr and customer service representative. I asked for a floor-level access storage, paid for it and when I was walked to my unit, I realize it’s the wrong one. No issue I say to myself since we all make mistakes but when I returned to counter there was no apology from CSR or Mgr. I was put in a unit that had a pillar in it and that took away at least 1 sq foot of space in a 5x5 when there was one totally empty in front It. I very calmly and matter-of-factly explained the dilemma and requested the change for 2nd time in a row. The manger most of clearly knew that unit because he made no fuss but didn’t apologize either. The attitude was surprisingly arrogant and self entitled. As a home owner of a loft next door I was excited about supporting a neighbor business but I can’t and won’t recommend our local uhaul and will make that know in our HOA and Nextdoor platform. A simple sorry and thank you goes a long way. Uhaul falls short.
