Storage elevator out of order-Took extremely long to check in.and to complete business.Would not return here. Matter of fact Will a more accommodating storage…..I won’t be there longer than a moth place sucks Thanks but no thanks.

My stuff was in storage for 13 months. Everytime I went to visit my stotage the elevator was out. Tgats not cool. The staff needs customer service classes.

My stuff was kept safe for a long time with no chance of it being affected by weather or another person, for that I am grateful. I am writing this review, however, because the policy and tolerance for customer service MUST change at that facility. Ibrahim, you need to treat your renters, former current and potential, with more respect. I rented that space for a little longer than 1.5 years, with automated on-time payments every month. I finally moved into an apartment with enough room for my stuff, so I said goodbye to my storage unit. I emptied my unit the last week of July in 2022, locked it, and went to the front desk. I asked the gentleman at the front desk how to “officially end my rental” and he said “give me your keys to your lock, unit number, and I’ll cancel the recurring payments” I went on my way. It took me two months to realize that they had never stopped charging me my monthly rental fee. I made a phone call, and an employee of the customer service department who’s name I THINK was Megan, was the nicest and most understanding person I could’ve spoken to. She told me my refund had been issued and that id receive it in about three business days. Four business days later, I get a call from Ibrahim. He personally canceled the refund, and let me know that he would not be stopping the payments until I opened my unit because “the lock was my personal property”. I explained the situation to him, about how I didn’t have my keys, and he basically told me that there was nothing I could do, and that I, a 22 year old girl with no car and an address far away from that facility, had to buy bolt cutters, drive over there and do it myself. I refused. I gave him written and verbal permission multiple times to bust that lock himself (I am sure he has bolt cutters). I kept being sent an outstanding bill of rent, since Megan had turned my automatic payments off. I eventually was sent a bill for about $640, an a harsh email explaining that my lease with uhaul has been terminated and that all of my stuff (there was so stuff) would be sold at auction. Still no refund. I almost forgot to mention the 5 separate phone calls from that Uhaul office asking me to call them back as soon as possible, which I did, and I would be met with another person that had no idea why I was calling, and upon explanation, Ibrahim would receive a call while I held, and immediately, every time, after the conversation between the two, I was met with loud, interrupting “MAAM, MAAM, calm down ma’am” and “there is nothing I can do for you, please pay your outstanding bill, and if you have a complaint file it with our customer service”, when, like I said, they always called me first. I eventually just filed a complaint through the BBB and within 24 hours I was issued my refund and an apology. Ibrahim knew I was calling, he knew I was having trouble, he knew there was miscommunication all over the place, and he chose to not believe me because I never caught the name of the gentleman I gave my keys to. Some of the worst and most disappointing customer service I have ever experienced in my life. I work very very hard to exist in a loud, fast-moving world and I don’t always get the answer right but Ibrahim, you dropped the ball on this one. I wasn’t going to write a review until Ibrahim personally emailed me asking to write one, with the following pleasantry, “you are a very valuable customer to us and we really appreciate your feedback”. I don’t think I will be coming to that facility again. I would also like to mention my experience with a kind man that used to work with Ibrahim and his team when I first got my unit in may of 2021. His name is G, and he is from Miami. That morning was hard for me since I was going through a pretty important breakup, and I was driving a really big, uncomfortable truck, which I never have done in my life. I parked in the wrong area, couldn’t back the truck out, and started to cry. I also packed my boxes wayyyyyy too heavy, and I accidentally booked a unit that was up a flight of stairs! G found me, told me everything was gonna be okay, and went behind his bosses orders and helped me. He really saved the day for me. I have never forgotten him. I doubt he still works at U-Haul, he seemed like a very happy untouchable person and I hope he is doing something he loves.
