No one was available when I arrived for pick up. I had to walk around inside and outside of the building to find someone working there. Man who ultimately came to the desk was not friendly and told me van was out front. I went to the van and when the key didn't work realized it was the wrong one. I went to ask for help and the same person from the desk told me it was another one up front and pointed further down into a bunch of parked vans and trucks in the lot. I had to go find the van myself. Would have been nice if he had pulled the van up or Atleast assisted in locating the van.Joshua L.

The general manager was very nice and professional. My only issue was being charged for a broken hubcap that I did not do. There really wasn't much that could be done my word against company and somebody had to pay for the damage (me). Just unfortunate. But in the end I would recommend the location to people. Second time in two weeks I rented from here. Both times the truck fuel was significantly off. Big hassle trying to rent from here. Takes too long to get out with a rental. Staff at Norwood are great but under staffed. I tried to order trailer on 2 times at Norwood location. After I placed order, dispatcher called to arrange for trailer pickup at different location. This is not acceptable and I had to cancel order. I was able to obtain a private trailer. You need more trailer and longer rental times. UHaul controls the market for trailer rentals and controls rental terms.FRANK M.

Though I didn't have the best in person customer service experience when checking out the U-Haul truck (had to wait a good 10-15 minutes before a rep showed up and they weren't very helpful - sadly I couldn't get their name), returning the truck was better. Though the drop box was hard to find as I returned the vehicle after hours, there weren't any other problems. Lashonna Hawkins the general manager of this location, was generous enough to give a partial credit for the dolly that we did not use. Somehow the clasp had already broken inside the truck, though the dolly was still mounted in place and so in turn we got charged. I appreciated the loyalty and honesty in receiving the partial credit. The vehicle I had rented was DC4273T and just to add a couple of housekeeping additions - the interior lights do not work (both driver seats and back of truck) so it was hard at night time to make sure everything stayed in place. Also the exhaust pipe was completely caked over in dirt and sut that could also lead to problems.STEVEN G.

Friday March 5 windy and cold, Steven sitting take his time to file contract, he gave me the truck key and ask me to go to parking lot match the truck and the key number. I took truck to empty 16 foot POD. Return back at 10:45 . I ask Steven to hook auto trailer ,it took him more than 45 min ,I felt shaky , I ask Steven for help me to set the car on trailer ,He said It is not my job . I looked around if any help or gas station .None I struggle. We went into argument, he does not want to help or offer alternative .I start calling u hall moving help, but the guy is away and does not know to monte the car .I waited and get out of patience. I told Steven i should cancel all contract because I can't leave without my car. Than he start helping to look for me driving the car over the ramp and stop on the trailer. He strap the driver wheel correct .however the passenger side was not satisfactory. I ask a customer happen to walked in to help .he advise me to put the break on the road i stop twice every time i filled gas On second run ,a helper talented work in car strap tidy both wheel Arrive at Taylor the light of the trailer is defective hanging no screw And no strap on passenger wheel . The manager at Norwood try to cover up and aggravate the situation she said i had not paid for hook up the trailer .steven never offer help with or without money. You have no brochure to follow instructions. I waited 2 h for the auto trailer i have to resume my drive and stay in hotel red roof $75 this price for frontier health care workers. The GM needs better help at this location. She is great but her employees are not very helpful. At least when I was there on a Saturday morning. Snow needs to be removed from vehicles and trucks need to be checked that they start before assigning them to be picked up by mobile registration. I lost two hours of work and was not offered any discount for my troubles when my truck wouldn't start and then had to wait over an hour to get a truck that works. I always give benefit of the doubt but this experience this most recent time was a miss for me.Alexander O.

For the mobile pick up, it would have been more streamlined if the pictures and license upload and call to verify identity was done prior to pick up. My pictures had to be retaken and my verification contact didn't know the call was coming so had to be called again. This delayed our move.Kerry O.

The mileage was wrong on the paperwork it 53 and really was 57. I did not have a chance to go back inside because to have it corrected. When I returned the vehicle I was advised there was nothing they could do as I should have snapped a picture. I felt like that was totally wrong as was I charged for miles I did not drive. In the future the employee should come outside with customer to inspect the vehicle to prevent an overcharge.SHAMYIAH B.

Get that truck off of the road! Absolutely horrible condition. The steering was very loose. When touching the beaks, the truck shook uncontrollably. I had to hold on to the steering wheel for dear life when going over a bump, because it shook and rocked all over the place. I tried calling 20+ times to see if I could get another truck and nobody would answer the phone. Shame on UHaul for allowing a person to drive that truck off of their lot. My agent was very respectful and helpful. The other agent working with him was not wearing a mask and seemed put off when a customer asked him to put one one to help her. When I returned the vehicle, I walked in and there was an elderly couple at the desk getting help. The Agent was not wearing a mask, although the couple was both wearing masks. He told me he would email me my receipt and before I left, I said to the agent that he needed to put a mask on and he shrugged me off. I said it again and he said something about how he had it on earlier. I reminded him that he was supposed to wear a mask for his customer's safety and not his own. He seemed disinterested in my concern for this elderly couple that was standing on the other side of his desk. Very disturbing.Todd L.

Location is grossly understaffed. Employee was doing the best that he could. I had reserved a trailer online the day before. When I arrived to pick it up , it was buried in a snow pile from a storm over a week ago. He broke his butt shoveling it out and I assisted in pushing it out of the snow. Buy a snowblower, hire more people and give this gentleman a raise. Shame on you!John B.

I know this is Covid season. And the representative that I dealt with was very courteous and professional. My only issue is that I waited in line long enough to pay my movers $110 an hour. My appointment was for 9 AM And I left U-Haul at 9:47 AM. I ended up going inside because the U-Haul app did not function properly. Every time I signed in it threw me out stating â€œyour session has expired.â€ When I tried to call no one ever picks up the phone that is listed online; there's is an automated system that continuously speaks a recorded message with no resolve. As stated previously there was no issue with the representative. If it all possible I would choose a different service just to spare myself from the aggravation.Carol T.

Horrible experience. I booked it for 8am contactless pick-up, and I showed up to have no truck waiting for me. There were no keys in the drop box. So I had to come back after 9. Staff did not apologize for their error, they were not wearing masks, and could care less. Also, the truck was piled in behind another truck so I was further delayed because they had to move the other truck. The fact that staff were not wearing masks during this pandemic is reason enough for me to never use uhaul again. Incredibly unprofessionalMatthew W.

Overcharged me for the fuel. I used truck for only 28 miles, before returning I put 3 gallons of gas in the truck, then on the receipt I noticed that I was charged another $5.25 for 1.5 gallons. So, are you trying to say that 4.5 gallons needed for 28 miles? That's 6.2 miles per gallon!!! If that's true, I would never order such trucks again.igor D.
The staff is no good nowhere to be found every time I go there I have to wait at least 20 mins just to talk with someone Not only that they charged me an extra 80 dollars for unit that was a suppose to be a month free! The manager (I wish I could remember his name, it started with a J) was super friendly and repeatedly went out of his way to help us. We visited the Norwood location on several occasions to rent 2 trucks and 2 storage units. The location was very busy and he still remembered us each time we came in and worked hard to help out the many customers coming in and out. There were admittedly some glitches along the way, such as our key card not working and the elevator being stuck, but they worked everything out for us quickly and professionally. If I could change anything, I would ask U-Haul to give these guys some more head count so they could get some extra help in these busy and unprecedented times. Place was always dirty. Customers bathroom i.e. inside where the actual storage units are located was never clean and trash all over. Parking lot always had trash. Card reading machines to access my storage unit never worked properly. I complained to management nothing was done.I went to a local competitor who had cheaper prices and cleaner premises.
