I was charged $160 more than the quote that I've received on Uhaul.com. I've contacted customer services several times and still have not heard back. I've also contacted Uhaul.com whom said they will get back to me within 3 business days and did not receive a call/email.

The checkout took a long time. The biggest issue I'm having is with the rental rate. I reserved my uhaul online and I was quoted a price ($99 for truck + $14 SafeMove + $5 Environment fee) $118 as rental excluding taxes. But I'm now charged $128 as the truck rental instead of $99. Appreciate if you could look into my online reservation for comparing the rate I was promised.

The associate who received us was not personable. We highlighted our concern over the passenger side mirror not being properly connected. The mirror's attachment was loose and continually moved throughout the drive making it impossible to use it throughout our move. When we presented the agent at the store with our issue all he said was "Is it still attached to the truck?' There was no question about our safety while drive nor any attempt to resolve the issue. To make matter worse, the location of the store is on a busy road. There were multiple company vehicles parked in the front of the store to make it impossible to see on-coming traffic, and made it very unsafe to attempt to pull out after dropping out truck off.

I ordered a furniture dolly but when I got home with the truck, the furniture dolly wasn't there. Luckily I didn't need it after all. However, I got busy with the move due to a deadline and forgot to notify UHaul. This morning I received a call from UHaul telling me they see I rented one but didn't return it and wanted to know where it is. OK, my fault, I forgot to call and complain I didn't get it, but I certainly had better not get charged for the "missing" dolly... it was never given to me. I think before the customer leaves the lot, the UHaul rep should go over the receipt with the customer and make sure they both agree the items are in the back of the truck before the customer leaves the lot. It's the first time this has happened to me with UHaul, but thinking back at the other times I've rented with UHaul, I don't remember anyone ever going over the items in the truck before the customer leaves the lot. Second item... I noticed the truck radio doesn't turn off when the truck is turned off. I've never had a vehicle that does this so I'm not used to having to turn off the radio when exiting the vehicle. Last night the truck died on me and needed a jump. I figured out what the problem is when the truck was jumped. You may want to invest in trucks that turn off completely when the key is removed from the engine OR you may want to put warning stickers on the radio reminding customers to turn off the radio when exiting the vehicle.

Once we were in the store at the local level, they were attentive and answer the questions as well as quick. The general customer service line however is horrible, the staff do not appear to know how to connect to locations, they do not know how to read charges and bills, and rather than trying to help you, they would rather dump the call to someone else so you have to start all over again. This has happened multiple times. By multiple, I mean at least 12 in the past two weeks for two separate rentals. There are no excuses for this type of customer service it is deplorable I have managed customer service is facilities with large numbers of staff, including work at home customer service. This is no way to run an operation they would do better and get more business if their staff were better trained.

trailer master cylinder leaking badly. as i traveled the brake fluid from master cylinder was swept up onto the tailgate of my brand new truck. brake fluid eats paint, but so far the tailgate of my truck looks ok. i will have to open a case if the tailgate paint starts to fail though.
