I have been a loyal customer for years. All I needed was a tow dolly to go pick up my daughters car in junction, the gentleman went over the straps quickly which I didn't understand he never pulled them out to show me, easy drive when I tried to pull out the the straps one big one was broke and I had to get another man to help with a strap to make it work. The wheel well had a big burn on it and I had no car on it yet I have a picture of this and the broken strap When I returned it this morning they said I did all the damage and no refund!!! Are you kidding me, not only did they sent out flatly equipment the salesman lied and said it was not like that to cover his butt. Horrible customer service and dishonesty can't believe from uhaul . The money was not the issue it was owning up to your mistake and paying a refund and they said no I will reach out to everyone I know and let them know how they lied to cover their ads and sent out a dangerous product. Very disappointed in the gentleman and the company, look elsewhere from now on to avoid scammers like uhaul That's all I got -learn to man up and admit mistakes don't lie you look pitiful as a. Company

My 24/7 pick up was not prepared for 830. I was forced to wait until the store opened. The staff told me they didn't work the night before so it wasn't their issue. The store staff wasn't ready at 9 and had to get their drawer ready and it was 930 before I left the center to begin my move. I had arranged for helpers and they had to wait because the store wasn't ready. Also I found it humorous that two of the staff told me they didn't have any thing to do with uhaul or the uhaul stuff online, nothing to do with it was what they said. No apologies, just passed the blame and then said the online stuff was unpredictable. Worst experience I have ever had and I will never rent from uhaul or buy moving products from uhaul again.

It was unorganized and unclean. From the get go in terms of picking up my reserved truck, it was not explained that using my debit card is considered cash and that a $100 hold fee applies if I use my debit card. This something that your customer service rep should mention to customers at the time of reservation. This is what an excellent customer service provider does, you go above and beyond to set your company above and better than the rest!

I annotated a discrepancy on the truck I was renting. When I returned said truck I was charged for the damage that I annotated before leaving. Now I am out $250 and Uhaul tells me I have to wait about a week before I can get it returned to my account.

Maybe try having better customer service, not calling me at the middle of my rental telling me im overdue bc another customer needs it and then not addressing my concerns over why I brought it back early even though I rushed through my day to get it back. I paid for TWO DAYS and only had my uhaul for 12 hours before I was called about bringing it back. Never even offered a refund for the entire day I paid for that I did not receive. Thanks for literally nothing.

Trailer was in rough shape and pretty beat up. Still had material in it from previous jobs, cut tie downs on side rails, just not well maintained. This was my second trailer rental from this location, first experience was very different, trailer was clean, well maintained.

There's only 2 entrances from the street so you end up driving around the complex and the parking lot trying to get out and it makes it more difficult for inexperienced trailer towers to back in the slip while navigating traffic

1. The trailer was clean, but there was a problem in the trailer brake control causing the trailer brakes to engage at every bump in the road. 2. There was a long wait to rent the trailer.

The lady at the counter was really slow. There was 3 people ahead of me and she took at least 7-10 minutes with each person. There was a person at the counter next to her and he never opened up. He just sat there. I would never go back to this location even though it's close to my home.

The right side mirror was loose. It was dangerous for me and other vehicles because I was not able to see anything on the right side. I did try to use tape to hold it down but I just overall think it should have not been rented out to me. There was also a big dent on the top right of the truck. I did dispute both those issues but again, it just should not be rented out to anyone.

Properly check the gas they said quarter tank it was a eighth of a tank ant the tire pressure sensor was on because there was a nail in it. Also filled out everything on line with credit card info but still had to pay when I got there. Uhaul I hope I never have to use you again

Reserved cargo trailer was not available for rental on 23Jul2022 for online reservation made on 13Jul2022. Location staff explained that online booking frequently allows double booking and that only by calling location directly can reservations be guaranteed. If online booking can not be relied upon, an obvious disclaimer on the online site is necessary or instructions to call the location to confirm online reservations. Location staff were not able to explain if the reserved trailer was rented to the other customer before or after my reservation had been made. Concerning condition of smaller cargo trailer that was available to rent, I had to inflate both tires. The left and right tires were 17 and 15 psi, respectively, below the recommended pressure.

I showed up 15 minutes before my truck was available at 6:30 since it said to show up early. I had to wait until almost 6:50 to wait for someone to help me pick up the truck because the key was not left in the pick up locker. The truck was not very clean and I feel extremely unsafe driving the truck.

The vehicle was not maintained at all. The cab was dirty and funky. The gas was at 1/8. Once I began driving it after it was loaded, i experienced many faults due to lace of care and service. The brakes were horrible, front suspension was horrible, the alignment was off, the cigar lighters did not work, the horn did not work. Vehicle was not safe to drive from Texas to NJ. Since the truck was loaded and I did not have time to look for another vehicle the same size, I hit the road anyways while praying the entire time.

Scheduled mobile pickup and the U-Haul the app assigned to me when given to another customer. After waiting 20 plus minutes to get help, the second U-Haul given to me was not on the lot. Finally after 30 mins I was able to leave with a U-Haul. The workers were very nice, it was just a huge inconvenience especially when I'm trying to get my move started as soon as possible.

Uhaul had mechanical issues. Had to get towed from our final location. Drop off location charge my card $550 after uhaul I had already contacted uhaul about the mechanical issue and roadside had to tow the truck a day after it was due to be returned.

the only thing is that I separated it in a location that was 2 miles from my house and the system. I said I was available and I had to pick up at 9 am when they called me at 8:20 am to tell me that they changed my location to a distance of 25 miles from my house. and that if I didn't arrive at 9 am they would cancel my reservation. For all this I ended up paying more than necessary since I had looked for a nearby location and it was supposedly available. and for that reason I will not use your service again. I understand that they have to work more. with your system why and on top of that fill the tank of the truck. I came to know that the difference from what was calculated at the beginning would not have made the deal

Uhaul overall was a huge disappointment. I booked my uhaul online for pick up close to my house and drop off close to where I'm moving. I arrive at original location for them to tell me I need to go 30 minutes north, wait on hold for 15 minutes to confirm, they tell me it's not scheduled so I'm transferred to someone else who then tells me I have to drive an hour south to pick up what I booked. She was very nice. Then I go to return the uhaul and they tell me I cant return here or will be charged more, even though my receipts confirm drop off there. They finally let me once I showed them a partial return for the two hour drive to get original vehicle. Your online service is crap and needs to be updated and communicated with your stores.

The only issue I had was that I came home from Iraq and tried accessing my unit. The key would not fit into the lock. I tired asking several of your employees what was going on and nobody knew anything. I was told I needed a supervisor to cut the lock. A few days later the supervisor was available. Just so happened to be the same day I hired a locksmith. Supervisor cuts the lock. Turns out my wife entered the unit while I was gone, she locked it in the open position. Someone at U-Haul out a new lock on and didn’t tell anyone about it or made a note in the system. So here I am, wasted 4 days trying to get into my unit and $50 out of pocket (locksmith fee). Other than that, you need more staff. There shouldn’t be a 30-45 min wait to get a vehicle because you have 1 person working the counter.

Got some quite rude phone calls about replacing locks. In addition, on the last day, got a similarly brusque call to immediately go fix the lock, because the door was only partially locked. Arrived to find no lock on latch (had just put new lock there one week before) and no lock on floor of unit that had been left there on purpose.

There were a lot of issues regarding the storage for move. The upside is that the manager went far above and beyond to reach a reasonable solution. he called and called again any and every resource but ultimately he made something happen for us. During this time, he had put his lunch off, and was bouncing between assisting many other big issues with customers. It was only him and another worker. His name was Matt Kalinec, he deserves a rise and praise. Will be sending him lunch for the lunch he put off to deal with our issue.

I’ve been using their storage for 2+mths now. And every time I come in, everyone is always so helpful and welcoming and in a content/relaxed/nice mood. If they can’t help, they’ll quickly direct you to who can. They actually messed up my storage unit reservation when I was down-sizing, and they completely took responsibility. They notified me quickly, fixed it, and made me feel like they really cared about me as a person. I greatly appreciate all the gentlemen I’ve came across there!

I had to return a trailer half way through my trip and upgrade to a moving truck and a car transport because my little Ford ranger was struggling to pull the trailer. Technically, because this wasn't where I was supposed to return it, it was a "wrong location" and I couldn't return it. But couldn't figure out where I could return it. I called 1800gouhaul and got transfered 6+ times. Each employee claimed that they didn't have access to the info I needed. They couldn't make changes and didn't know why the previous person sent me to them. I think each employee should be granted access to everyone's order, be able to see all their info, and make changes. Everything is online these days. I should be able to contact an employee in a random state and they should be able to tell me where I can drop stuff off and make changes to my order. Each time I called to figure out drop off locations there was a 10+ minute wait. Calling 1800gouhaul again, I wanted to change my drop-off location because it wasn't the same as the storage location. The telephone line said that I could change it online. I would have preferred to do it over the phone. But after another 10-15+ min wait, I gave up. When I went online, neither my wife or I could figure out how to do it online. We asked the guys at the storage location if we could just drop it off there? They replied, oh, no. If you do that, we'll have to charge you double. Fruatrated, we just took it to the other location and dropped it off. Storage locations are free for the first month. Unless you don't have a round padlock. Then you charge me 10$?! I already had my own regular padlock with me, ready to go but you said, oh no, they can't be that type of lock. It has to be a round one. When I went to lock it up, my lock fit just as well as yours did. That was a totally unnecessary move on your part. The self storage container had two tears in the roof covered in white duck tape. What if it rains hard? Duck tape won't keep the water out.

Facilities are clean and well maintained. The interaction with personal was professional. The only negative part of my experience is waiting in line for a long time to be served. This seems consistent with most of the U-haul stores I've been to.

I came in from out of town and arrived at the Uhaul at 6:45pm, 15 mins before closing. I had called ahead of time and already had a reservation for a storage unit. The employee I believe his name is Matt at 5810 San Pedro, San Antonio, Texas 78212 was fast, helpful, and very thorough. He gave me my paperwork, access gate card and explained everything to me in 15 minutes. I asked him if business was busy,and he said yes, but he was calm and friendly. I appreciate this kind of customer service. Thank you Matt! Uhail, please give him an accommodation for excellent service, especially for being at the end of the day. My visit was on 4/29/21, check his name to make sure I’m correct. Thank you again!

I was told I was enrolled in automatic payments and that I would be billed on a certain day, when I was not. Two days afterward I received a late charge and was informed I was delinquent. Wait times at the store were also frustrating. Each of the three times I went in and spoke to staff, I had to wait 15+ minutes due to there only being one person.
