Was scared the truck was jerking the brakes were not good and it needed power steering .the steering wheel was hard to turn very hard .i let them know when i returned it but they showed no concern the truck needed much matinence .i have rented from u haul for some time and never had this experience till now .and am suprised they did not care

My only issue is that I had to have the lighting kit reinstalled at this location, and the same thing happened as what happened a few years ago. My original lighting kit was installed at this San Pedro location. Shortly after dropping off the trailor, I had one of my brake lights burn out each time. Since the instillation of the original lighting kit, my brake lights (either left or right) burn out repeatedly. I drive a 2004 Mitsubishi Endeavor and wonder if for whatever reason, the instillation of your lighting kit is somehow causing the rapid light burnout, perhaps due to some incompatability. Before the lighting kit was installed, the bulbs rarely had events of burnout. I have replaced the bulbs in my rear lights multiple times in the last few years. I am not seeking any recompense, just letting you know what happened. I found the San Pedro personnel profession, curteous and very helpful each visit and have no complaints.

When I made the original reservation at another location I also asked for an appliance dolly, I guess they forgot to include that in the reservation.

I've used this location in years past and the service has been hut or miss. This time, I was served by the manager (according to the business card I had) and the service was very speedy and pleasant. Definitely will use this location again.

Reserved a truck with plenty of notice. Check in and no side mirrors on either side of the truck. Had to wait 45 mins to get mirrors put on. Workers are slow taking their time as they try to find and put on mirrors

I dropped off my U-Haul truck at this location the night of the day I picked it up. The next morning I got a call from an employee (don't remember his name) at this location informing me that the keys I dropped through the drop box and my truck were missing but he had found my rental receipt that I had dropped in the door, as well. I told him that I had 100% dropped the truck off and even informed him that there were some people hanging out in the parking lot while the store was closed (not sure what they were doing but I found it odd to be hanging out in a U-Haul parking lot at night). After informing him of these people I pleaded him to please look at their security camera footage and this would prove that I had dropped the truck off and left and then hopefully catch the culprit that had taken the truck. A month goes by, then I receive a call from an employee named 'Daniel Jerry' that obviously had no idea that I had previously spoken with an employee and explained the situation over a month ago. He left me a voicemail saying that the police had found the truck that I had rented somewhere and it had some 'stuff' in it and that I should call him back to resolve the situation. Upon calling him back less than an hour from the time he had called me, he proceeded to tell me that he had charged the credit card on file for ~$1,700.00 dollars before speaking with me or even waiting a day to see if I would respond. I explained to him that I had spoken with an employee the day after I had returned the truck and I had definitely returned the truck the SAME DAY I RENTED IT and none of the items in the back of the truck were mine or put in the truck by me. He apologized for the misunderstanding and for charging our credit card for nearly $2,000.00 but an apology is simply not enough. I am extremely upset with how this situation was handled. It may not be U-Haul's fault that this truck was stolen(I'm assuming this was the case) but there are several things that could've been done so that this situation were to NEVER happen. A few ideas I could think of would be: #1 Have a drop box that someone can't see what's inside/can't retrieve anything from. Having your drop box be a flap in a glass door does not provide any real security for whatever is dropped inside and obviously puts your equipment at risk, as well. #2 GPS unit installed in trucks to be able to track a truck if it were to ever go missing. #3 HAVE EMPLOYEES NOTATE CUSTOMER'S ACCOUNT WHEN THEY HAVE A CLEAR CONVERSATION EXPLAINING WHAT OCCURRED SO THE COMPANY AND POLICE AREN'T LOOKING FOR THE WRONG PERSON. #4 ACTUALLY REVIEW THE SECURITY CAMERA FOOTAGE SO THE EXPLANATION BY THE CUSTOMER CAN BE VERIFIED. #5 KEEP IN CONSTANT CONTACT WITH THE CUSTOMER TO UPDATE ON THE SITUATION. WHETHER YOU BELIEVE THE CUSTOMER TO BE THE PARTY AT FAULT OR NOT, THIS IS A WAY TO ENSURE THERE ARE NO MISUNDERSTANDINGS IN THE PROCESS. #6 DON'T CHARGE A CUSTOMER'S ACCOUNT WITHOUT SPEAKING WITH THEM FIRST OR AT LE

Signs were very clearly posted to direct driver to equipment return which was very helpful. Once I got to STOP sign describing to wait for customer service rep, I waited 10 minutes with no one in sight. 2 other trucks pulled up behind me and waited as well so I went in and heard employees laughing and joking. Once they saw me they became professional and wanted to assist but I clearly saw my car in the cameras and was displeased that No one responded. After checking in my equipment, staff immediately took the trailer.
